Women kill me! My crazy drugged out wife makes me go to her stupid sister's house to see her newborn baby TWO HOURS AWAY!! Seriously, like I care. So I don't get to practice, play, chat or anything that would be fun till 10:30 at night.

I finally get home, run turn the PC on, and find a game on Temple.

My oppenent chooses zerg, and I smile and start thinking about cracking a six pack out on his ass.
Up till now I've found that the six pack was the best start for me against zerg no matter what they do besides go sunken colony crazy, I thought......

I was ill prepared for what was to happen the next few minutes of the game.

I do my standard patented build order and early game scouting. I start in the bottom.

I scout him in the right to see a pool, 3 eggs developing, and another hatchery started next to the first termite mound. Gas had not been hit yet and no sunkens yet.

ZERGLING RUSHER is what I think. SO I slam a bunker down in a perfect place right beside where my comstat will be later.

No rush comes and the six pack with stim is developed. The adrenaline starts pumping as I attack move them out of my base knowing that some chao will follow.

The only other time that I encountered a big zergling rusher I made 2 firbats in my six pack. I didn't think about him being a total ling rusher, but the scv scout didn't see a lair started the 2nd time he got a peek at the base before he got clawed to death. Ahh, the rustiness of the first game on the day is always bad. I didn't make two bats, just one.

At the top of my ramp I see a large orange spot on the mini-map that engulfs my six pack as it walks out. Looks like about 18 zerglings swarms my 6 pack and kills it with about 8 zerglings still alive. My medic survives and runs back to the bunker. I was making another bat and my factory and 2nd racks was down already.

The lings seize the moment and attack. My 2nd firebat makes it to the bunker but has no ranged attack that I so desparately need. The lings attack my acad. and gas.

I don't panic but things sure don't look peachy at all. I pull 6-7 scvs' off mining and repair the gas and bunker and acad as the lings attack. I have walled off my base so the lings have to attack the buildings and not my peon line. Marines that I quickly ordered up start to trickle out of my now two racks and as soon as they come out thy die. Things are now getting annoying. "Plz, plz" I think to myself, "don't let the six pack go down like this!"

The scvs can't repair the academy fast enough and the 6+ lings on it kill it. The gas is in good shape because the rate of attack is less then the rate of repair. I'm not too aweful worried about losing the acad. Cause I foresaw its death and started a new one before it even died.

More zerglings show up and things are looking worse. More marines pop out and die immediately to zerglings. Then all of a sudden I hear, "job finished sir". My beautiful factory in all of its golory is finished. I make a vulture and at the same time 2 more marine pop out. This time one marine makes it to the bunker and I'm in good shape again.
I was attacking with a few scvs when the vulture pops out and helps clear out my base with additional marines and bats trickling out of my two blazing barracks.
SHHHHHHHHHHHUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!! That was extreme micro. Marcoing was easy cause all the action was right there in my base, but still it plus the mircoing to kill the lings made me feel like I was having to play a toss or something.

I scan to see a hydra den and no lair? I scan again to see an expansion at his natural. NO SUNKENS! I think "Man, this guys got faith in his troops." I also see 6 hydras and a few scattered lings.

I have started siege research back at home and massed a squadon of M&M's. One tank has rolled off the assembly line. I start my attack by massing troops at the outskirts of his town.

I attack the hydras there and take minimal losses. Then a huge force of lings attacks from both directions. He must have another base up top! I scan to see creep beside the vespene up top. My forces at his choke are all but dead so I take my losses and retreat. I know that he has sent all he had at me so I'm not worried about a counter attack yet. My now 3 racks are going full force and I start my attack upgrade on my troops at the E. bay.

Not once did I even think about expanding. I build up to 2 tanks and a mixed 18 or so M&M's and Bats. I march straight to his expansion at the top cause it is less defended, and I did kill all his peons at his natural. No sunkens(this is a reoccurring theme). After reducing the termite mound to a pool of slime I march straight to his main. More hydras and a Lair is up this time. Lurkers finally? Too late now. Hehe.

"Ahh, thats the stuff!!" I reduce the natural to a pile of $#*^ and process to his main where he says GG and leaves.

Lessons Learned: If zergling rushing is his game plan make 2 firebats in the six pack. I could have saved myself alot of trouble with one more bat. I survived just fine against 18 plus lings with two bats and 3 stimmed marines behind the bats.

Scvs hold up quite nicely vs zerglings with a medic beside them. They won't win a game but it held them off while my marines got to the safty of the bunker with minimal scvs lost.

Lessons You Should Have Learned by Now:
Terran own Zerg.
My six pack got demolished but it took all he had to do it. And what comes after the six pack is even more deadly.
