Lifetime Rating for =_Warphead_=: 5.5000 |   | I logged on as B.R.Writer (honesty helps), and managed to get into a game between Big-Penis and Johnny_Vegas against TeRRanFlaVoR and ball_tongue as an observer. True to my name, here is the report of that conflict.
Map: Aftershock
Big-Penis: White Protoss
Johnny Vegas: Yellow Terran
TeRRanFlaVoR: Red Zerg
ball_tongue: Purple Terran
Big-Penis started in the NW start position with a double Gateway build. Meanwhile, Johnny_Vegas, his ally, starting just south-west of him, built two Barracks while sending SCVs out to scout.
ball_tongue, in the SW, seemed to be following an identical build to Johnny, but changed abruptly when he built a Refinery when Johnny opted for a second Supply Depot. TeRRanFlaVoR, the Zerg Cerebrate in the NE, went up to 10/9 using the Extractor trick then built a second Hatchery a fair distance to the south of his natural expansion (why he didn't build it at his expansion I'm not sure). When the Hatchery started morphing, he then built a Spawning Pool south of his Hatchery, almost on the edge of his creep.
Johnny, with one of his scouting SCVs, found FlaVoR then started building a Bunker under his Pool, just in range and just out of sight... unfortunately for FlaVoR, the Bunker was completed and manned, and when the Marines inside it openned fire on his Spawning Pool there was little he could do but gather Zerglings and curse his eyesight. The Bunker was reinforced by two Zealots, and when patrolling units found FlaVoR's second Hatchery, it seemed clear that FlaVoR's stay on Aftershock would be much shorter than he had hoped... indeed, despite a valiant attempt, there was nothing he could do to prevent himself from being overwhelmed, and his ally ball_tongue, from the opposite end of the map, could only look on despondently as FlaVoR's last building fell, eliminating him.
Realising that on his own he would stand no chance against the allied might of the Terrans and Protoss, ball_tongue gathered a squad of M&Ms and sent them on their way to Johnny's base just before FlaVoR fell. They reached it, and managed to fight their way up the ramp due to the superior firepower given by Stim Packs. ball_tongue then rapidly moved his remaining Marines directly to Johnny's peon line, but was unable to cause serious damage before reinforcements arrived and obliterated his attack force.
Not content to sit on these victories, Johnny and Big-Penis gathered a large force of Zealots, Marines and Medics, and assaulted ball_tongue's base rapidly. ball's Bunker above his ramp, along with a constant flow of reinforcements, meant that this initial attack was seriously damaged, but when the smoke settled only Yellow Marines and White Zealots stood.
Not even pausing to regroup, Johnny and Big-Penis pressed on, their effort renewed with a flow of fresh Dragoons, DTs and Marines. Despite a great fight in which much Protoss and Terran blood was spilled, the inevitable occured; ball_tongue's remaining troops where eradicated, and his Command Centre turned into rubble. Johnny_Vegas and Big-Penis had won the game! |
