Lifetime Rating for (TYC)Khas'andro:
Well, there I am, sitting in ~NoHunters, looking around for people to BR. I see that LuckyNewbie:P and Oddity are starting a game, so I join and ask to BR, and they let me. What results is what you see here.

You are traveling to another dimension. A dimension of not only sight and sound, but mind. You're traveling to the dimension of...

I wish I could have gotten the Twilight Zone theme music to play here...
I'll warn you now, both games are on Lost Temple, so if you hate Lost Temple, you can stop reading now. Don't blame me, I didn't choose the map.

This BR, I'll have some funny alt text. No more Rumplestiltskin jokes. This game is played on Bob's Obs LT, so one of the observers gets a Bengalaas. The players get a town hall and its respective workers, so it's a good thing the first observer doesn't have to beat both players.

You'll see that Oddity has drawn the 9:00 main, as his blood red Hatchery towers above the surrounding land. Lucky, however, has been warped in to the 12:00 main, commanding a mighty teal Protoss force.

You may be a little confused, let me clear things up: that minimap was taken from my first screenshot, about 7 or so minutes into the game.

Both players set their workers to stun...err, mine. Oddity send his given Overlord to scout out the 6:00 main, checking for enemy positions. Lucky, meanwhile, plops down a Pylon at around 7 psi, and a Gateway as soon as it finishes. Oddity proceeds to fill up his control, and send a lone drone for a quick Hatchery at his natural.

Lucky gets himself another Gateway, obviously going for ground troops, while Oddity places a Spawning Pool at his main. His natural's Hatchery is about done. Lucky drops another pylon to help power his Gateways, and Oddity places another Hatchery at the top of his ramp.

No alt text here. This picture's worth 17 words.

Lucky sends an unlucky probe to scout for Oddity's main, which is chased away by two patrolling zerglings. The probe proceeds to badmouth Lucky until he promises never to send another probe away from his main without some protection.

My dream is to die in a puff of blue smog, just like a Zealot.
By now, Lucky has gotten 3 zealots, and has decided to send them to attack Oddity's natural. Oddity has produced only 10 zerglings, making this look like it will be the game-deciding skirmish. However, Oddity pulls some semi-effective micro, allowing his zerglings to defeat all three Zealots at the cost of all but two zerglings.

Oddity proceeds to get a few sunkens on the cliff near his natural to defend against further attacks. Lucky, smarting from his defeat, puts down a third Gateway and another Pylon, along with an Assimilator, showing that he plans to get more than just Zealots. He's quickly rebuilt his Zealot force, and sends about 5 to check up on Oddity.

Oddity was waiting for this. The Zealots come charging into his base, ready to rock 'n' ruin. As the first of the Sunken Colony Tentacles tear into them, they realize they have no chance. They run for their lives, not wanting to go out with a poof.
It would be pretty funny if this word bubble actually HAD popped up in the middle of the game ;)

Oddity finally covers up his Vespene Geyser with the equally repulsive Zerg Extractor. It's still quite unclear as to what Oddity is opting to build, while it's quite clear that Lucky is going for lots and lots and lots of ground troops. Lucky places a Forge and a Cybernetics Core at his main, while Oddity begins the transformation of his main's Hatchery into a Lair and morphs a poor drone into a Hydralisk Den.

Meanwhile, the last bit of lead in my mechanical pencil breaks off, and I frantically pump at the end to get more out. During this time, I see that Oddity has expanded to both the 6:00 main and its natural. The pencil finally catches, and I have a fresh peice of lead to take notes with. I then notice, from a comment by one of the other three observers, that Lucky has already completed a Citadel of Adun, along with a couple of Photon Cannons at his main. He also takes the time to finally expand to his natural.

I couldn't think of anything funny for this pic, so I'll just leave this blank...oh, wait, this IS the alt text... Oddity begins metamorphosing his Hydralisks, five or six, into Lurkers. It's quite obvious that Oddity is preparing to make a final push to Lucky's main, as he is pumping Hydralisks and moving his standing army to the front of his natural. As the Lurkers near completion, Oddity sends his Zerglings and Hydralisks to group outside of Lucky's choke. The battle begins when two patrolling Zealots encounter the grouped forces at their front door. Lucky's standing army attempts to retreat up the ramp as Oddity's force moves in, but in the confusion, Lucky loses his one High Templar, the only thing that could have saved him. The Lurkers are content to burrow just in front of the ramp, attacking Lucky's expansion at the same time. A pair of cannons push back the Lurkers at first, but Hydralisks move in and put an end to it. A Dark Templar pops out of one of Lucky's Gateways and moves to intercept the Zerg forces coming up the ramp. However, Oddity has had an Overlord overlooking Lucky's expansion for quite a while, and he moves it to detect the Templar. Having nothing left to beat Oddity, Lucky concedes the game.

The end....kinda.
End game minimap. What's it look like? THIS is the end...sorta.

We're back in ~NoHunters. LuckyNewbie:P and Oddity are making some post-game chit-chat, when LuckyNewbie:P suggests a rematch. Oddity accepts, and we're into Game 2 of this 2-Game series.br>
Another start-game minimap pic. Do these help? Hold down the Ctrl, Alt, and Delete keys if you don't like them.
This game is also on Lost Temple. So sue me. Lucky draws the teal Protoss this round, warping in his Nexus at the 6:00 base. Oddity gets Zerg again, in the same spot as last game (9:00 for those of you with bad short-term memories), except this time, he's purple.

Again, this game, Lucky puts down a pylon at around 7 psi, and a Gateway soon follows. Oddity, taking a safer build order this game, puts down a Hatchery right at his main as soon as he has the cash. Lucky has an uncanny stroke of intelligence, and scouts Oddity, hoping that Oddity started in the same spot both games.

Both players appear to be deviating from their previous build orders. Lucky gets an Assimilator and a Forge after his Gateway this time, instead of more Gateways. Oddity lays down a Spawning Pool and an Extractor, taking a build order that almost mirrors that of Lucky.

I've never seen this done before. Oddity is pretty damn good.

Suddenly, one of the observers points out a very interesting thing. Oddity has put his buildings in such a manner that he is able to wall in a Sunken Colony. This would keep Lucky from swarming around his colony, making it a little easier for him to beat back a rush.

Lucky is teching faster than last game. He's putting up a Cybernetics Core already, whereas, around this time last game, he was just getting his third Gateway. Lucky also places a Pylon near his ramp, and when it completes, he puts down one cannon. I also note that Oddity has neglected to scout for Lucky's location.

Oddity puts down a Hydralisk Den, appearing to be trying a variation on his last game's strategy. Lucky, on the other hand, makes a decisive move. He puts down a Robotics Facility, and I predict a Reaver drop, sharing my ideas with the other observers.

INTERMISSION

This battle report has been brought to you by the Foundation for the Unification of Crazy Killers (of Bengalaas). FUCK is out there to rid the world of bengalaas, and two of it members were in this actual game. If you supports FUCK, become a loyal FUCKer by commenting on this battle report. Thank you.

People are wierd...hey, what am I saying?? I'm no better than any of them...

BACK TO THE GAME

Well, my predictions came true. When his Robotics Facility finshes, Lucky places a Robotics Support Bay, and begins construction of a shuttle.

Finally, some action. Oddity takes the offensive. He sends a group of Hydralisks to attack Lucky, whom had recently been scouted by an Overlord. The Hydralisks are held back by the Photon Cannon and a few Zealots, but they make it up the ridge. A brand spankin' new Dragoon pops out of a Gatweay and moves to hold back the Hydralisks. They run away from the cannon, towards Lucky's probe line. The probes move out to defend their hard-won minerals, and kill off the Hydralisks with the help of a fresh Zealot.

Reavers rock. Especially against Zerg.

During the fight, Lucky did his best to hide his Shuttle from the spying eyes of Oddity. He succeeded. Before even I realize it, Lucky has dropped his Reaver on the unsuspecting Oddity. Oddity quickly moves his drones away, but his Hydralisks cannot stop the rampaging reaver.

Jantaru was one of the observers, he said this after someone suggested a best out of 3 for Lucky and Oddity.
Oddity, desperate, sends his remaining Hydralisks to try to counter-attack Lucky's base. They die to Lucky's cannons, now two in number, and a couple of Zealots. As a last resort, Oddity expands to the 12:00 main, but knows that he stands no chance, and concedes the game.

Isn't Lucky so gracious when he wins?
And of course, stupid me forgets to take the pictures of the scores. I also forgot post-game comments. However, I DID remember this game's MVP:

I may be stupid, but I didn't forget my MVP. Robby the Reaver is the MVP for these two games. While Oddity won the first game with a massive swarm, Lucky grabs game two with just a Reaver and superb timing. Game one didn't really have any outstanding units, except for the Lurkers.
