Two people from a clan I plan to join, Arc and Killer, were going 1v1 as Terrans to see who was bad and who was real bad (they say they're awful with terrans, but that's a load of BS) NOTE: This review with pictures is available at http://www.envy.nu/camdon
Anyway, the game started with Arc going for marines as quickly as possible and Killer trying to climb the tech tree. Pretty quickly Arc had a small swarm of marines, and as though he knew exactly where Killer was they started marching. Killer, with less than half the marines Arc had, barely managed to fend them off.
After losing all but two of his marines, Killer attempted to get some more to defend from the ever advancing waves of marines attacking from the north. Eventually he was overrun and was prepared to die a quick death. He ran with his buildings and only a barracks and a command center survived. Arc killed everything else except one SCV that remained hidden and a bunch of Supply Depots. After this giant victory Arc built a startport and started making Wraiths. Killer amassed SCVs and changed his new base into a whopping economy, raking in minerals like mad.
After the first Wraith incursion being fended off by marines, Killer went Turret crazy. After surrounding his base with turrets and losing many an SCV during this from
Cloaked wraiths, he began to make siege tanks. Raising his building on to an unnoticed ridge, he sent the siege tank to a plateau overlooking Arc's minerals. After a couple of shots Arc noticed and dragged his SCVs away, and sent two siege tanks to kill Killer. Amazingly, Killer's siege tank took minimal damage and killed both or Arc's. With Arc having a minor setback he started making more and more wraiths, and wiping out Killer's siege tanks. Noticing Wraith incursions would kill him, Killer got two ComSats and A hoard of Goliaths. Assembling this group with some more siege tanks and a bunch of marines, Killer slowly penetrated the front line of Arc. Arc however had two more expansions going, and at one of them he was hiding four startports.
After a little carnage, Arc allout attacked Killer's force. Right then was when Arc lost his momentous advantage, and Killer's siege tanks and backup wraiths slaughtered the incoming force. Proceeding to destroy this base, Killer started searching for expansions. He located the Startports quickly and destroyed them just as fast.
Finally, he began looking for Arc's second expansion, which was just a command center and two SCVs. Killer had trouble finding it, but after a short skirmish the SCVs and marine guards were dead and Arc was on the run. Killer's Goliaths quickly caught up and destroyed Arc's Command Center. Arc said "gg" and the game was over. |
