Lifetime Rating for colonel_mustard: 3.6667 |  | | uhh.... first of all, my shift key broke, so this report will look funny. i forgot the guys name, but he was terran and i was protoss. we played in lost temple. i was on the 8:00 position and he was on the 2:00 position. this was basically a friendly game, no trash talk and the like. being the moron that i am, i turned on shared vision accidentally because i played team games too much. give me a break, that was my first 1 on 1 in nine months. anyways, back to the game. he was nice enough to flash on shared vision also, so he had no advantage. i knew he was going to block his choke like every other terran in lost temple. i decided to tech up instead of going to mass zealot. he scouted my base and saw that i had 2 zealots for defense like 8 minutes into the game. i likewise sent one of the two zealots to his base, but it was killed by an incoming force of marines. luckily, i was already building a photon cannon and a dark templar. well, his force of 10 or so marines came and almost finished off my cannon before my dt got ti them. i quickly tried a tactic i have heard of and sent the dt to contain him. that gave me time to expand and tech up even more. he did not know this, but i had an observer near every expansion, so i quickly realized that he was expanding to the 9:30 island. i was about to drop on him with reavers, dts, and dragoons. then suddenly my natural expansion was being attacked. it turned out that he seiged a tank on the cliff next to my expansion. i attacked with what was supposed to be dropped on his expansion. only a reaver survived that confrontation. i expanded again to the 6:00 position. with scouts, dragoons, and reavers , i dropped on his expansion and almost obliterated it when wraiths, ghosts and marines came. they killed off my attackers. at that point, i realized that my dt at his natural disappeared. i dropped on his expansion again and annihalated this time. he told me he needed that base. i agreed because both our mains were out. at this point, i had every single unit besides arbiters. i know, kinda stupid, but like i said, i have not played a 1 on1 in a while, so i dont really know what to do. i moved my forces to the ledge above his natural, and my carriers let loose their intercepters. the game basically went downhill for him then. he struggled to stay alive, but realized that was pointless and said gg. i guess i got lucky in that game. ok, please respond, i did not spend half an hour writing this for no reason. |
