Gateways, Gateways everywhere.
Early build orders prove to be Protoss S.O.P. Pylon, Gate, Gate, Pylon. Stomp gets the early scouting lead sending out his sixth probe. After discovering the location of his enemy, he immediately sends out his first Zealot to test the will of his opponent. By the time the Zealot reaches Alcat, however, two Zealots are already at the top of the ramp waiting. Stomp calls back his Zealot and is chased half way home before Alcat also pulls back.
How rude!
As in most same race matchups, both competitors know that tech will be the key to victory. Stomp is the first to get an Assimilator, and follows that wih a quick Cybernetics Core while Alcat warps in a Forge in hopes of taking the early upgrade lead. Alcat then puts up a pylon in the 3'oclock main hoping to put up an expansion before Stomp knows it's there. Unfortunately for Alcat, Stomp is actively scouting and soon a wandering Zealot finds and kills the probe and starts to attack the pylon. Alcat quickly dispatches 6 Zealots to secure the area and they destroy the threat and save the pylon.
The scene of the crime.
Run Away!
Those 6 Zealots are sent south where they find and viciously kill a lone orange Zealot (obviously these aren't the most chivalrous of Zealots). To prove my point, after getting to Stomps ramp and finding it well guarded, four of the Zealots are seen deserting their two point men in an attempt to save themselves.

In the meantime, Stomp has warped in a Robotics Facility, Support Bay and Observatory. Alcat now has a Cybernetics Core and a Citadel of Adun, closely followed by a Templar Archives. With each sides tech starting to show, things seem to be shaping up for an interesting Reaver v. Templar battle. In order to fund such massive war efforts, expansions are now in the making with Alcat taking the 3 O'clock main while stomp has shuttled over to the south east island.
Before any more action takes place, Stomp sends a probe and some troops to the north west island which prompts my fellow observer into some wishfull thinking.
I can see you...
Stomp starts littering the map with observers. As you can see from the minimap, he has an excellent grasp on where Alcat is and what he's up to. This allows him to send troops in an attempt to seize control of the final starting point. He also places a forge in his south east island expansion. Alcat has opted early for mass goons with a few tech units thrown in and has added another gateway in his main.
Alcat hasn't exactly neglected to scout, and he soon gets news of an orange force gathering ominously close to his main. Not one to allow such a huge slight to go unanswered, he does what any commander who has superior numbers on his side would do, he sends his troops in to battle in a straight line.
Finally, some action.
What starts out as a grouping of units...

...soon turns into a strung out line.

Despite this fact, Stomp is the one who split his army in half and just didnt have the numbers to hold back the tide.

Stomp still has a Zealot and a probe in the 9 O'clock main, and when they die to Alcat's maurauding band of warriors, Stomp sends out a fresh wave of troops to make sure Alcat doesnt try and claim the valuable real estate as his own.
Alcat has been spending his resources on another Gateway in his expansion and a Robotics Facility in his main and doesnt seem to be thinking of expanding again so soon.
Stomp, unaware of this fact, sends in 9 goons with observer support. They catch Alcats troops returning home, drunk from celebrating their recent victory, and proceed to slaughter them in cold blood.
Goon Wars
Goo Wars
Alcat, close to tears, decides he will have his revenge no matter what the cost and gathers what troops he has to honor the memory of his fallen warriors and slay the infidels.

Thank Jah you showed up.
Once again atempting the daring "straight line is better" theory, Alcats troops find themselves in big trouble until a Templar comes and lays the proverbial "smack down".

Stomp begins massing troops to the north of the Temple. When he feels he has the numbers, he sends his goons in to attack the ramp at Alcat's main. Storm and the high ground prove to be too much for the offensive troops and they are quickly whittled away. Knowing this would be the case, Stomp's real plans are soon discovered as 2 Reavers have taken possesion of Alcats mineral line forcing him to evacuate.
Snap, Crackle, Pop
Was it something we said?
A DT is employed to clear the mineral line. He destroys one of the Reavers and chases the other one off before being rewarded for his effort by being the victim of a friendly fire Psi Storm cast by an overzealous Templar.
Stomp certainly isn't finished harassing Alcat and sends the Reaver he saved over to the 3 O'clock main. The reaver was dropped too close to a cannon, and was forced to retreat out of range before attacking. He got the cannon but Alcat had enough time to send in an extermination squad.
Man, Reavers can sure be pesky.
No harm, no foul
So I dont get too much (cloaked) wraith from those using modems, I will split this report into two. So stay tuned for part two where you can witness the the growing Dragoon/Templar/Reaver armies vying for control of the sacred grounds of the increasingly, inacurately named Lost Temple.
