| The
"Before the BR information"
1) As I have done
in all of my other BRs (except the piece of crap text-only I wrote),all
image editing is done in MS Paint.
2)Please comment
on this BR, but don't make lame pop-up windows. I wan't real advice. I
can't comment on my last report because I can't press OK to "probe is cool~".
Now, onto the report.
Aenslaed
vs.
Fox^1
Before
game
This report starts
in nohunters, with Fox^1 demanding me to BR him and Aenslaed. The game
was first started on Lost Temple,
but I boldly told them I wouldn't report a game on temple unless it is
for a tournament. So I ask them if I could recreate the game on my observer-friendly
version of Rivalry.
The soon-to-be combatants then say they don't mind if I remade the game
on my map, especially Fox, since Rivalry is his favorite map (he said it in one of his Questions of the Day). So after Fox says he has beer
and oreos, we start the game.
Fox^1,
who was the winner of my third BR, randoms and gets Terran at the 10:30
start, while Aenslaed,
winner of my 4th BR, also randoms and draws Protoss at the 4:30 start.
I think to myself, the starcraft gods have looked down on me, and have
given both of the combatants the color they triumphed with in their respective
reports by me, as well as their opponent being the race they beat. If you
didn't understand what I just said, don't worry. It doesn't pertain to
this report.
Early
game
Fox
goes for a Heartcutter-style wallin at his ramp, then factory, factory,
academy depot, and gets a lot of anti-toss metal.
Aenslaed gets
a pylon on 8, then gate, pylon, gate, cybernetics core, citadel, templar
archives, then a robotics facility.
During Aenslaed's
build, Fox puts
down about 10 mines around Aenslaed's
natural. Aenslaed
sees this and starts the robo facility, as well as putting a cannon at
his ramp and a few around his peon lines. He also gets dark templars and
a few zealots at his ramp. When Aenslaed
get his observatory done and builds an observer, he sends it to the natural
expansion, as well as some various units, to clear the minefield. After
this happens, Fox
brings his vultures to the center and his first tank to the bridge and
they start pounding on the few units there. During the battle, Fox
takes his natural.

After a short wait,
including Aenslaed
taking the 6:00 expansion, Fox
attacks again, this time being at Aenslaed's
new expansion he has taken. Fox brings down about 4 tanks and somewhere
near 5 vultures, mines the bridge between 7:30 and 6:00. Aenslaed,
also notices this force and moves most of his troops to his new exp. Fox
makes it pretty far, but his tank push is eventually stopped by a constant,
steady stream of zealots with track shoes.
More explosions
and metal and stuff
After this battle
Aenslaed
and
Fox each
attack each other simultaneously. Aenslaed
drops Fox's main
with 2 zealots and 2 dark templars. During the drop, Fox's
10 or so tanks arrive at Aenslaed's
just-finished nexus at his natural. The drop on Fox
only destroys a depot, due to the 10 tanks that Aenslaed
now faces and must pay more attention to. Aenslaed
attacks the sieged tanks with zealots and the mobile tanks with dragoons.
I thought to myself "Aenslaed
won't win this," and he doesn't, but he manages to take down 3 tanks before
his defenders die. Now Fox's
tanks unsiege and start their way up Aenslaed's
ramp, where another tank explodes from cannon fire. So Fox
now has 6 of his 10 tanks left. As the 6 tanks are moving up the ramp,
Aenslaed
attacks these with 3 zealots and a dragoon on top of the plateau and 3
zealots below it, sandwiching Fox's
tanks on the ramp itself. This ends the threat of tanks for now, and Aenslaed
lives to fight again.
It is now time to
check upgrades.
Fox's Upgrades:
Aenslaed's Upgrades:
After a short wait
and Aenslaed
taking the 3:00 expansion, another battle occurs when Fox's
vultures and Aenslaed's
zealots and dark templars collide at the bridge between the 12:00 expansion
and the 1:30 main. No commander really wins, as both armies get slaughtered,
Fox's
vultures die from the zealots and DTs, most of Aenslaed's
infantry die from mines, and a couple tanks brought in by Fox
for support.
Fox
then mines up the bridges connecting the ground where the battle in the
above paragraph was. While he is creating minefields on the bridges, Fox
runs into a probe and a zealot, which die without killing anything. Seeing
this, and thinking, Fox
is about to get 2 expansions ,with relative ease,
Aensaled
sends 5 or so zealots to the 1:30 spot, and destroy the 5 or so vultures
there, due to upgrades. The zealots cross the bridge and then trigger some
mines, which kill them.
How
about micro battles?
The next battle
comes when Fox
attacks
Aenslaed's
6:00 expansion with about 8 vultures. Fox
mines up the area he attacks just after the vultures arrive at thieir destination.
This attack force is retreated soon after becuase a couple scouts pop out
of 2 stargates at the expansion Fox
attacked.
Fox
then drops 8 marines behind Aenslaed's
minerals at his 3:00 expansion. Aenslaed
sees this happen and moves 1 zealot and 2 scouts to fend the attack off.
The zealot nearly kills all of the marines off, and the scouts finish the
job. Only a few probes die from this.
Soon after, Aenslaed
moves 2 zealots and 2 scouts to deal with the 1:30 main Fox
has taken. Fox
has 4 goliaths sitting at the mineral-only defending. What results from
this is a skirmish where Aenslaed
moves in his zealots, then they get shot at, then Aenslaed moves in the
scouts and retreats the zealots, goliaths attack scouts, zealots move in
while scouts move out, repeat. Doing this, Aenslaed
kills the 4 goliaths and keeps his 2 scouts (yes that's right, scouts),
but he loses his zealots, which are then replaced by 4 fresh zealots.
Fox
now mines up the bridge connecting 1:30 and 12:00 resource nodes. Aenslaed
moves his zealots, backed by 2 observers, across the said bridge. The zealots
dismantle some mines, but take a lot of tank and vulture fire and die fiery
deaths, while the scouts mentioned in an earlier paragraph die from goliath
missles during this fight.

Aenslaed
moves 4 more zealots up to the 1:30 expansion, which also get owned by
mines, vultures, and goliaths, but also do most of the job they were supposed
to do. They kill a few vultures and goliaths before dying.
After another 4 zealots
that get rid of the defenses on the bridge, Aenslaed
sends up another 4 zealots which fail to do much.
After this, Fox
sends a ghost to the tip of his mineral-only , paints the land behind Aenslaed's
minerals at his 9:00 expansion, and launches a nuke without cloaking the
ghost. Aenslaed
finds the little red dot and moves his probes out of the way. The nuke
lands and manages to kill only one probe.

The
abrupt, gay end!!
After a short break
in the action, Aenslaed
attacks the war-torn bridge between 1:30 and 12:00 resource nodes with
4 carriers. The big gay blimps, along with some ground backup, take down
Fox's
occupation there. The carriers move on to Fox's
12:00 expansion, and destroy most of the defenses there. Four battlecruisers
arrive soon after, but they are too late and die quick, fiery deaths, along
with the rest of the defenders that died horribly from the homosexual balloons of death. GGs are then exchanged, and Fox
leaves the game.
Winner:
Aenslaed
-TvP is imbalanced (well,
most of you reading this report already know that).
-Aenslaed never
made one high templar during this whole game, and he only made a few dragoons
throughout the course of the game too. If Fox had got some wriaths, those
would have most likely turned the tide of a few battles.
-Lockdown would
have helped too,.
-Paint is cool (although
Photoshop is better and it is taught in my computer tech class).
A
quote from Bob_the_Newt
I end this report
with a quote from Bob_the_Newt, because he makes so many hilarous quotes
and I had the chance to see him open his mouth and say one.
Now please give me
many comments about what I should do better and what you liked.
