Two shuttles moved with a quaint, nearly noiseless motion across the open fields of the enemy. Once of the Zealots
aboard the lead shuttle, named Artanis, sat wondering what would await him when he arrived at his destination.
All he was informed of was that a new expansion Nexus
was to be placed in enemy zerg territory and rid the area of the Zerg menace. The transports stopped atop a large
field of mineral clusters, and dropped their precious cargo.
The ramp doors simultaneously dropped, allowing the 4 zealots, 7 probes, and 1 Protoss Executor to decend and
look out upon their soon to be new base.

The Executor telepathically instructed one probe to build a Nexus near the minerals. A blue, spinning orb
soon began awaiting the arrival of the Nexus from Aiur. The Executor then commanded Artanis to explore the
immediate area around them and report back to him.
back to him. “Immediately Executor!” replied Artanis, and he set out on foot.

The terrain seemed like a jungle, and the plush grass was soft beneath his feet. He then reached a cliff that when
he approached, jutted down jaggedly for 100 feet before reaching the ground again. For about 100 yards Artanis
followed the cliff, until he approached a dirt ramp entrance.
Artanis walked to the bottom of the ramp, curious. When he reached the bottom of the ramp, he saw a lone
Zergling, tearing at the flesh of a dead Bengalass. A loud
noise sounded as he shot out his warp blades in a blaze of blue fire. The Zergling saw Artanis and immediately
charged him. The Zergling tore into Artanis, but only met
his pulsating shield. This confused the Zergling, and gave Artanis his chance. He tore into the Zergling once, twice,
and on the third swipe, the Zergling exploded into a mess of blood and gore. Artanis watched in awe as the blood
seemingly melted off his warp blades. He retracted them,
then marched back to base to report.

When the Protoss encampment came into Artanis’s view, he was surprised to see that it was already
fully operational. The Nexus’s lights were blinking, and about 20 little Probes scurried about gathering minerals.
4 pylons were neatly in a row, and beside them
were 2 huge, towering Gateways. Upon approaching the Gateways, a fellow Zealot came up to him. "Artanis, the
Executor wants to see you immediately at the Nexus." Artanis quickly left and entered the Nexus. The Executor stood looking out a window, and Artanis approached him. "Executor, you wished to see me?" "Ah, yes Artanis, have you explored the immediate area like I asked you to?"
"Yes sir, our main base is surrounded by a cliff, and there
is one entrance, a dirt ramp leading below. I was engaged by an enemy Zergling at the bottom of the ramp, so I am
Afraid that the swarm is aware that we have arrived."
The Executor shut his eyes, obviously angry that he had lost the element of surprise. After a few seconds, he
opened his eyes again, rubbed his head, and spoke. "Do
not fear Artanis, you have done your job well and I think we have a good chance at prevailing, you may go now."
Artanis turned and left the Nexus, feeling dissapointed that
he let that Zergling see him.

Artanis found out upon his departure of the Nexus, that 2 more Gateways had been placed up, a
Cybetnetics core was operational, and a Citidel of Adun was warping in. 3 Zealots simultaneously came out of 3
of the 5 Gateways. A Robotics facility was on the
west side of the encampment, and it was producing Observers. One of the Observers had already departed
and found the enemy Zerg encampment. As it came back it reported a find of 3 Hatcheries and a hoarde of
Hydralisks. soon Dragoons were coming out of the
Gateways, and a probe began to warp in a Templar Archives. Orders from the Executor commanded all
Zealots and Dragoons to gather at the entrance ramp to the base.

Artanis stood at the entrance to the base, surrounded by towering Dragoons. He was wondering
what would happen next. From the direction of the main base, 5 High Templar slowly approached. Their bodies
illuminated the area as they stopped, hovering inches off
the ground. Then the telepathic command came from the Executor. "Your objective is to eliminate the Zerg Hive
cluster to the North. You are not to return until your
objective is complete. If you die, you die with honor. Good luck, may the gods be with you." And with that, the
massive army of Dragoons, Zealots, and High Templar started the long march to the Zerg Hive.

Artanis was nervous, unsure if this was his last day to live. He would surely give his life for Aiur, but he
was afraid to die. Still, he followed the long line of Dragoons. Artanis was followed by about 12 Zealots, and
the slower High Templar behind the Zealots. A scouting
Observer reported about another half and hour before arrival at the Zerg Main. After another tensious half hour of
marching, Artanis and the rest of Protoss army stopped
at the edge of the pulsating Zerg creep.

The lead Observer had spotted 5 sunken colonies, 18-24 Hydralisks, and 20 Zergling before an
Overlord spotted him and became a shooting target for the
Hydralisks. The Zerg outnumbered Artanis and his fellow warriors 2 to 1. Things were not looking good. But they all
had direct orders from the Executor to attack, succeed or
not. The 5 High Templar approached the creep, and The rest of the Dragoons and Zealots stepped onto the creep
also. One of the High Templar stepped forward, looking at a group of about 6 unsuspecting Hydralisks. With a
simple nod of his head, a storm of lightning reigned down
the Hydralisks. Within 2 seconds they exploded into carcasses. This alerted the whole base, and Artanis knew
the moment of truth had come. He heard every one of the
Dragoons cry out "initiating", and he and all of the Zealots cried out "for Aiur!" Artanis and the rest of the Protoss
warriors charged, determined to wipe out the menacing
swarm.

Well there ya have it, that’s part one. I hope to have part two done soon. Until then comment please,
tell me what needs to be done to make this better.
