Me vs 2 Comps

Ahoy there mateys!! Welcome to my 3rd attempt at a BR. First off, I would like to dedicate this BR to my bestest friend in the entire world.......Probe. For those of you that don't know, Probe despised my 2nd BR because my text was too big for him and he didn't like my "cyber penix" page break :( Well we kinda exchanged some words in the comments section of my BR where I stated that I would make the text on my next BR small enough for him to ram up his ass. Needless to say, he didn't like that too much, but today I would like to come forward and give Probe my humble apologies. I'm sorry. I hope my text isn't too big this time :). Now, let's get on with the show.

I thought I'd do something a little different for this BR. Usually I read BR's that are 1v1 or 2v2. Well this one is of me vs 2 comps. I don't know if anyone has done this before, but even if someone has I assure you that this game is just as interesting as any other entertaining 1v1 or 2v2. Besides, I wanted to be a star in the spotlight this time :)

Ok, now that I have apologized and informed you of the game type let's get into the fun aspect of my BR. This game was on Rivalry, which is a 4 player ladder map where starts are in the corners. Heres a screenshot of it for those that don't know what the map looks like.

Me:Red Terran(randomed)
Comp1:Brown Zerg(randomed)
Comp2:Yellow Protoss(randomed)
Funny how there happened to be one of each race.

I spawned at the 7o'clock main, Zerg spawned at the 11o'clock main, and Toss spawned at the 5o'clock main. Since I was VSing 2 comps I decided to power and early exp so that I wouldn't die in the mid to late game. My build was 8-depot, 12-rax, 13-rax, 14-gas, 16-academy, 18-depot at ramp. I got my academy pretty early because I wanted firebats since I knew an attack would come shortly after I exped. So, I figured that firebats would be a better choice, than marines, against the Protoss comp. I exped to my natural around 34 control and brought some marines/firebats for protection. While my cc was being built I started construction on a bunker.

Let's have a look at what Zerg's build was like. Since I couldn't see Zerg's build as it happened I am assuming they went something like 9-2nd hatch, ~10-pool, ~12-some sunkens. I am guessing they 2nd hatched earlier than the pool because it was already completed when my scv got there. Also, they had no attacking units yet. After checking Zerg's main I sent a scv to check on Toss's build.

When my scv got toToss's base I saw 2 gates, 2 finished pylons, and another pylon and shield battery warping in. So I'm guessing their build went 8-pylon, 10-double gates, ~11-pylon, ~12-pylon and battery. Shortly after my scv left Toss's main is about when I was setting up my expansion.

Back at home, my exp was being completed, which means an attack would probably be coming soon. I was right too. As soon as my bunker was finished some zealots came across the bridge to the right of me. I scrambled some marines into the bunker and stimmed my remaining forces so they would attack quicker. The zealots went straight for my bunker while my other marines/firebates took cheap shots at them. The attack was going well for me. That is until some hideous beasts appeared on my screen. That's right, then came some bastard ass hydras and zerglings across the bridge too. My firebats made quick work of the zealots, but not until my bunker was blown to bits. I stimmed my marines/firebats again in order to deal with the pesky Zerg units. In the meantime, a few more zealots poured across the bridge while I was trying to finish off the hydra/ling combo. As bullets sprayed, fire errupted, shields dissolved and flesh cooked my unit count was getting smaller and smaller so I lifted my cc at my natural, and ran my units to my ramp. Finally, I managed to finish off the Zerg attack with fresh firebats from my barracks.

Phew! that was a close one. I put my floating cc back down and quickly began mining again. After my scvs were mining peacefully I scanned each computer's main to see what they had added. Toss added a cyber core, a

forge and a couple cannons. On the Zerg side, there wasn'tanything added, structure wise, but they now have some lurkers. Well, I decided to take a few firebats and medics up to the Zerg base and see what I could do. However, I was encountered by some hydras at the ramp to their main. Again, my firebats were stimmed in an effort to take as many hydras as possible with me.(sadly, I knew that my firebats weren't going to do much damage). Red and orange flames emerged from the firebats' flamethrowers. Medics healed as quickly as they could to provide my units with a longer life. More dirty hydras ran down the "cursed ramp of hell" to destroy the strange fire-producing units that were invading their territory. Flames and needles soared through the air, both destroying flesh upon contact. Hydras were torched, firebats were blown up, medics scrambled and after it was all finished I think that only 2 or 3 hydras were killed before my heroic army was dispatched. Right when the battle ended and silence crossed the map a warning rang out. You guessed it, Toss thought that now would be a good time to attack my natural. I only had a few firebats and like 2 medics to protect myself with. Good thing Toss only had 3 or 4 zealots attacking me. That battle ended quickly, but soon after Zergs stupid self came barging into my natural too. By this time I had a factory constructing a tank and both of my barracks were pumping firebats still. Zerg had its way with the few firebates at my natural so I was forced to lift the cc again, but the hydras shot that to hell. Zerg also managed to push me back to my ramp. In fact, all the buildings at my ramp were destroyed and the few remaining hydras proceeded into the heart of my main. Luckily a tank popped out of my factory to finish off the menacing freaks.

Cripes! I'm tired of this constant team attacking. All that remains in my base is a couple supply depots, a refinery, a factory and my original cc. I rebuilt both raxes and the academy. Then I added another factory shortly afterwards and retook my natural yet again. Next I scanned like a mad man in search of expansions that the computer might have set up. Here's what I found.

After the necessary buildings were reconstructed I thought that now would be a nice time to go on the offensive again. I gathered 12 firebats(I like em :) and walked toward the center of the map. There I encounted some gay hydras making out behind the trees, so I burned the heck out of them. I then rerouted my firebats to the 6o'clock expansion, where they met marines/medics, so that I could rid that part of the map of the annoying Toss threat. My firebats/marines/medics met up with little defenses(couple cannons and some goons). Of course my units were stimmed as the attack begun(I like watching the sparkly-blue shields go bye bye).

The goons walked towards my units in an attempt to unleash their plasmic balls of doom upon my men's heads.

Then I heard a terrans least favorite sound in the game. The deadly warp blade :( AH! AH! AH!, three marines went down before I could press '0' 's' to scan. 0 was the hotkey for my comsat if you couldn't tell.

THAT SON OF A....! I told all of my men to attack the dt together. After I killed the dt I told my units to continue attacking any target they deemed necessary. Toss kept bringing reinforcements and as a result the rest of my remaining units were finally brought to their deaths, but I was bringing a couple more marines/firebats and tanks to the expansion to finish the job.

In my main I constructed a starport and also a science facility and began massing tanks. I also took over the "expansion formerly known as Toss." In order to keep my new base longer than a few seconds I brought like 3 tanks and some marines/medics. I also constructed a turret incase a gay dt comes roaming in, and I added a nuclear silo onto the new cc. Well as soon as I got everything set up stupid ol' Toss comes and decides to attack me(surprise, surprise). However this sad attack is quickly thwarted. After the little scuffle, I scan the map in search of new expansions. This is what I found. Now that things are running smoothly again I decide to go attack Zerg. I muster up some marine/medics and send them to Zerg's natural, and I bring some tanks and a wraith along too(just for fun). My units trek across the map and proceed along the bridge to Zerg's natural where they are quickly stimmed. A dang sunken colony begins sending its slimy, dirty tentacle into the anals of my men, so I siege up my tanks and blast it. Then comes along some mutas and hydras from Zerg's top-middle base to annoy the hell outta me. Well, my units are stimmed again and my wraith is also sent in to fight these mongrills. Everything is bashed thoroughly and I continue to hammer on the lone hatchery. In a desperate attempt to finish off the expansion and melt the skin of my adversaries I farted on the map(ok its dark swarm but there were no zerg units under there so I don't know why the comp did that). Well some more hydras are sent to the natural in order to spit prickley needles on my men and my army is thorned to nothingness. As my units are going down in pools of red blood I scan other expansion spots to see if anything is there. The first scan is in the upper-right corner where a Zerg base is revealed. The second scan is the middle-right side of the map and a Toss base is revealed. The third and final scan is at Toss's natural, which is unoccupied at this time. Here's what the minimap looked like after the scans. Wtf, Zerg is trying to out exp me. I'm gonna end that right now! I gather some marines, firebats and medics and send them to Zerg's natural again, hoping to find few defenses there. My wish was granted as there was only a sunken, a muta, some zerglings and a hydra there to protect the base. Blood splatters on the ground, soaking it with the viscous liquid. Bam! there goes the hydra, Bam! there goes the stupid zerglings. Now for that irritating muta and the sunken. MWAAAHAHA, the expansion falls. Following the downfall of the expansion, I sneak a ghost into Zerg's main. The ghost is guided to a comfortable spot to unleash the deadliest weapon in the game. Yes, the nuke!!! WAH BAMMMMM U SON OF A BUTT(theyre gonna need a band-aid).

Blood falls from above like the underground club scene in Blade©.

I quickly send in some firebats and medics to follow up the nuke. Guess what they encounter....Ding Ding Ding, another stupid sunken ramming them in the arse. The firebats die easily due to the fact there was only one medic and they weren't healed quickly enough :( After almost crushing the filthy Zerg, I expand to the middle-left base. Toss decides to harass my bottom-middle base with a corsair armed with gayweb. My marines follow it to the Toss natural but I quickly pull them back after seeing some creep there. My middle-left base is done now so I add another nuclear silo to the cc. I take another ghost and walk to the newly discovered Zerg base. "Nuclear launch detected." That's right boys and girls, I nuke the new Zerg base. WAHHH...tink(awwww). This nuke only takes a butt-raping sunken, a dragoon and does some splash damage to the hatchery there :(

After that sorry nuke, I decide to try and finish up Zerg's main. Marines are hastily gathered and sent marching towards Zerg's base. However, the marines are interrupted at the natural by a hatchery, which is just barely being started. A couple of mangey mutas harass my marines attacking the hatchery. I reinforce the marines, currently at the expansion, with more marines and medics and the hatchery, along with the mutas, falls. Then, I send my attack force in to Zerg's main. I gather my units at the top of the ramp where they blast a couple of pointless spore colonies to little pieces of living building. I then wait for the medics to heal the marines to full health right before I storm into the base.

There! Zerg's main is finally destroyed. Heres how the minimap has progressed up till now. Oh great, them annoying as hell Zerg have already tried to exp to their natural that I just blew up. Sheesh. Needless to say, I'm gonna have to bash that good. But....before I do that I think I'm gonna go nuke Toss's main. Yes, that sounds good.... I think I'll go do that now :) Instead of walking up the ramp to Toss's main I decided to nuke it from below the cliff, next to their natural's mineral line. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!! Ahhhh....what a sight. There's nothing like some protoss buildings engulfed in hot, blue flames to make a terran player feel all warm and tingly inside.

I think the game is practically over now :)

Welp, I guess it's time to go get that Zerg natural that's pissing me off to no end.

For some odd reason Zerg thought they would try to do a drop on my men that just blew up the natural. It didn't work. In an attempt to weed out the rest of the unorganized Zerg bases I formed another attack force of marines/medics and sent them to the middle gas-only bases. As easy as................
One Two

Between erradicating Zerg I also nuked Toss's one and only exp. These nukes blowed big :)

One Two

And the other two pics of Zerg's bases(except for that upper-right one cuz it's special..actually my guys need to walk there).

ThreeFour

While my men are walking to Zerg's upper-right base I nuked the Zerg base that was at Toss's natural(boy zerg is greedy) 2 times.

At this time my assault squad has arrived in Zerg's upper-right base.

+ =

Here's what the minimap is looking like now. Zerg thought it would be cool if they tried to take their natural again. It wasn't so I blew it up with a bunch of scvs before it could come online(hehe). Their little cutters sparked as hot as they could to damage the living hatchery. While the bold scv's were cutting away at the hatchery one of them couldn't contain themself and blurted out that he liked the action. His name is Bob. The scv's had to fight off a few hydras before they could finish off the hatchery, but they did manage to raze it. Next, the brave scv's went to the middle of the map again because Zerg just doesn't want to give up and has morphed another hatchery there.

At this time I was setting up to eliminate Toss.

Kabloooey. Those scaley little aliens are no more.

Now for those undying Zerg idiots. Their only remaining base is a gas-only spot near the center of the map. I take a ghost and proceed to nuke them to oblivion once and for all. BANG! Blood once again pours from above as the last Zerg buildings are destroyed. But wait....what's this....no "player was eliminated" text??? What in THE HELL...can't they just DIE?!?! After a few scans from my trusy comsat I find that they have a base at their original main(wtf are they doing there? There isn't any minerals). I formed a small combination of marines/firbebats/medics to end this game. On the way up the ramp all but 2 marines and five medics are slaughtered by a lurker(DAMNIT!). As a result, I am forced to withdraw my units. I remember my tanks that were used to finish off Toss and quickly order them to gather at the front door of the Zerg stronghold(hehe).

The death of Zerg

Finally, something I've been waiting for, for a long time..........

Well, there it is folks.....what a wonderful work of art(sob). I hope you enjoyed reading it cuz I know I enjoyed fighting back from near death.

Lessons Learned
1)Nuke > everything
2)Fighting 2 comps and taking screenshots is hard :)
