The Challenge:

It was a busy day, as usual, in channel clan -]KF[- and all members present were chatting with each other about the usual things - school, parents, jobs, girlfriends, brood war. Suddenly the conversations were interrupted when bnet happily displayed:
<2000and1 has entered the channel>
<2000and1> hello
<-]KF[-M2> Hey, what are you here for?
<2000and1> I want to join, but I have to be tested.
<-]KF[-Legend> I'll test him.
<-]KF[-M2> Did you fill out a form at the site?
<2000and1> yes
<-]KF[-Legend> I'll test him, ok Magma?
<-]KF[-M2> Battle Report?
<-]KF[-Legend> k

Pregame:

I quickly set up a game on everyone's favorite map, Lost Temple!! After the usual pregame nonsense and name-calling, we decided to start. Legend opted to go with Random, while 2001 switched to Zerg at the very last second.

Let the Games Begin:

Legend ended up with Teal Zerg at the 6:00 start while 2001 got his chosen White Zerg at 3:00. Both players opted to expand to their naturals before pooling, with Legend getting a hefty advantage in time over 2001.

Legend's First Expand:	2001's First expand:

2001: After his fast expand he opted to go

pool,	gas,

3rd hatch at choke,	then Lair.

It seemed that he was going fast mutas. Another interesting point is that even though Legend started his hatch earlier, he let it sit idle, while 2001 pumped continuos drones to further up his economy.

Legend: While his hatchery was building, he went

pool,	3rd hatch in main,

gas,	hydra den,

and evolution chamber.

Legend was definitely going for a hydra doom drop, and was periodically sending all his new units to the center of the map. It is about this time that 2001's spire finally morphs in,

while Legend started his Lair.

Both players decided to expand yet again, but both to the 9:00 start. What resulted was a small drone battle, ending with Legend's probe left with 5hp, which then started a hatch.

The Drone Battle:	Legend expands

Upon his failure, 2001 decides to expand to the 12:00 start. He has also pumped a hefty amount of mutas, around 16 or so, and has decided to prepare them to attack Legend's natural.

Battle for the buildings:

2001 initiates the attack by hitting Legend's natural.

Since legend has no anti air defense, and all his hydras are at the center off the map, he decides to load up what ever remaining forces he has and drop 2001's ass.

What results is essentially a bloody race to have the last building standing in order to win.

Legend finishes 2001's main.	2001 starts on Legend's Main.

Legend splits hydras up to attack 12:00.	2001 moves onto Legend's 9:00

Legend has 6 buildings to destroy.

With 2001 having only 1 building left to destroy Legend, while Legend has 6,
Legend decides to take his last remaining drone and start a hatch on the 9:00 plateau. Will this be enough to win him the game?

<-]KF[-Legend> NOOOOOOOOOOO! 2001 send his mutas up to defend his last base and stumbles across Legend's morphing hatch.

Legend loses the game with only 4 buildings left to raze.
