OOOOkay... Just to let you know, this is an Age Of Empires battle report. In case you haven't read the report by bLiNd_mE (I am bLiNd_mE), AOE is a game of strategy of a whole bunch of civilizations dating back a long time ago. Some of these civs are Egyptian, Ancient Choson, Yamato, and Hittite. So old you haven't heard of them! It's a great game, and i enjoy sharing my gaming experiences on BR.com so here's my 2nd report so far!
I play on the Microsoft Internet Gaming Zone, and my name is _aWaRd_tOuR_. I'm an expert to say the least at the game Age Of Empires, so i enjoy 1v1 challenges. I started a gaming room which i titled cleverly, "1v1 XpertZ" and waited for someone to come in! Just to my luck, somebody did come in! Some guy named tweeter_500 came in. I said, "tweeter_500? Doesnt sound like an Xpert name..." And he replied, "Well i am an Xpert and i will beat you!" He didn't even talk like an Xpert. Oh well, I wanted to play and i wanted some pics for a new BR!!!
I started the game up, and we picked out civilizations. Don't forget, when you choose your civ you have 12 choices. Assyrian, Babylonian, Choson, Egyptian, Greek, Hittite, Minoan, Persian, Phoenecian, Shang, Sumerian and Yamato. I picked the usual, Choson and tweeter picked... Egyptian!!! I could tell right there that he was a ROOKIE. "Oh well, man. You're gonna get pics for your BR!" I thought. So i let him pick his civ in peace, and we went into the game.
It all started off like so:

Now you see what the building blocks of an AOE game are. There's the villiager:

And the Town Center:

Of course you have to start on a map, and what do you know. I was pretty happy with the map we got, as i pretty much had a great location. His location was VERY sheltered, and he could have easily made it hard for me to get through. This is the map we started on:

I took 1 of my 2 villiagers and build 3 more TCs, and the other 2 went to the center of the map to build barracks. Barracks are buildings where choson's best military unit come from; the legion. Barracks look like this:

As my villiagers were working on the barracks, 1 TC was done, so i created a villiager and went back to the barracks. One was finished, so i upgraded to long swordsman.
Back at the TCs, the villiager had finished 1, which meant i could house more than 4 units now! So... I pumped 2 more villis out and sent the 1 inactive villi to help with the barracks. Speaking of barracks, i had 3 finished now. I pumped some swordsmen out of the 2 that weren't researching, and went back to the tcs.
My 2 villis were done, I sent one to build a Temple (Basic research building) and a Storage Pit (Armor and Attack upgrades), and the other villi build a Granary (Tower upgrades) and a government center (general unit upgrades).
Back at the barracks, 2 of my swordsmen were done. I did what i always do, i sent them out in front of my barracks to scout out any buildings the opponent might have. I didn't find any. "Rookie... Damn." I thought. So i sent my swordsmen farther out... Still nothing. So i decided to send him into the corner of the map with the 2 stone pits and 2 gold pits. Any advanced AOE player knows that when there's 2 stone and 2 gold pits in one area, there's a player also. So i resorted to logic.
Basically, everything was done now but the research. I had long swordsmen, and needed to upgrade from the temple to get legions. Here's what my Town looked like:

And here's what my military base looked like:

And here's what my map looked like by that time:

I was doing well. I sent the legions right in there, and i found 8 TCs and 50 villiagers. The 50 villiagers killed the 2 legions, but at least i new where he was! Sooo i sent some more legions in. Not alot, just enough to confuse him. Confuse him enough that i could build some barracks on his side of the map, so i could get my armies there quicker. Here's what the first attack looked like:

Well... heh... Maybe i had a few more than a few legions... But oh well, he still fended em off. Because he had elephants. Elephant archers, and war elephants. At least i had enough time to block him into his land with a few barracks, and i could pump out some legions to make attacks quicker. But i cant forget my main central base! All of the barracks were now working on making a swordsman except one, which was researching the Legion upgrade.
Back at home, the Granary had finished the Guard Tower upgrade, the storage pit had finished the Metallurgy Upgrade (+7 Long Swordsmen and Legion Attack Points), The temple had finished the fantacism upgrade and the gov. center was working on the ballistics upgrade. Although i was sure i wouldn't need them, just to be safe i upgraded anyways.
Horray! There were some legions standing by the barracks i had blocked his land off with! I sent 'em in for battle, and here's what it looked like:

So i lost a few legions, big deal! I had at least 75 more at the center base, and i was in the process of blocking off tweeter's only other way out, i had it pretty good. I sent the 75 legions in the center down to the 2nd base in tweeter's property as a relay, and waited for a bit.
Back home at my TC's, i had some free villiagers available for farming! I'm sure you can guess what farming does... You get food! So i had about 4 villis build 4 farms, and with the 4 TCs i had i pumped out 4 villis, and sent all 4 of them to mine 4 gold (heh heh heh).
The 75 legions were at the 2nd base waiting to be sent in with about 20 other legions, and i decided it was time. Yay! Here's what the beginning of the attack looked like:

And here's what it looked like afterwards:

Yeah, he was begging me to let him have a break. He gave me 2100 gold in tribute, and i politely said, "Thanks, i'll use this for more legions!" And he immediately resigned.

Well, i must admit this was a really easy game. The guy was a pretty good rookie, better rookie than most rooks if you ask me. Hey, he actually knew how to make elephants! Tha game was over, and even if it was lame, it was still a battle report. And now for the moment you've all been waiting for... The Acheivements summary!

Well, another battle report done. But don't fear, another one will be here. Soon! Until next time, Cyaz!
