Yo, sup dudes. I bring you, the third round battle of the DS and Glory. I tried to do better each time, and hope you guys like it!

Scene III

(The time has once again reached. Tonight, however, feels different. Grandpa is coughing loudly, and consistently. Although the kids are worried, they can't get their minds of the story. The kids have a needing, somewhat wanton look on their eyes, yet Grandpa is powerless to do anything about it. Grandpa, instead of telling them the story, goes to bed, and rather hands Patrick a book, the same book he was referring to earlier. )

Grandpa: Chapter 5

Kids: You want us to read it ourselves?

Grandpa: (cough) Yes, but only read that chapter. I want to tell you guys the story myself, but I know you guys can't survive without knowing something more about

Ryan's Private!right? (cough)

Kids: Are you alright?

Grandpa: Yes, I'll be fine. But I don’t think I could talk that long. So tonight, you guys read from the book, okay? Well, the sandman is coming for me. Goodnight boys. (eyeing them carefully) Be very careful with the book, okay?

Kids: Yes, Grandpa. We'll take good care of it, and goodnight to you also.

(Grandpa turns away from the boys, and shields himself by putting a blanket around him. A snoring is heard not minutes later, but cough erupts occasionally.)

John: Well, what are you waiting for?

Patrick: What do you mean?

John: Uh, open the book!

(Patrick opens the book, and flips slowly to chapter 5. A smell of an old paper flings to their nostrils, but the boys can't take their eyes off the picturesque book, and the displays within)

John: Whoa, whoa. This book rocks!

Patrick: Yeah. Let see what the book says about Private Ryan.

The DS was ecstatic. They knew they were one more step closer to saving Private Ryan. The duo headed for their next match-up with War Gods; towards the island-based battle ground, Dire Straits. Refer to Fig. 1, which shows the beginning positions of four combatants. DS-Strife, DS-Ares, Reaper{WG} were all zerg, and Myan{WG} was the lone terran commander. Fig.1. The MinimapThe battle was to ensue quickly, Myan{WG} complained and complained that he forgot to pick his race of choice, but the vote was in. He was to command terran, and it was already a huge disadvantage for {WG}. Once again, DS did identical build orders. Both went for a second hatchery, then a spawning pool following it. Reaper and Ares, both controlling thee zerg, sent the overlords towards each other. The overlords soon arrived at each other's base, and the enemy's plans were somewhat revealed. Fearing marines, Strife just took a look at Myan's base, and left the overload at the neArest expansion island.

While DS was getting their hatcheries spawned, obviously going for drops, Reaper was thinking something else. Instead of a second hatchery, Reaper morphed a spawning pool, then an extractor. The choice of death for Reaper? Mutalisks. His teammate Myan got a refinary even before his barrack. As time passed by, his plans were still a little dubious. The necessary supply depots were, of course, constructed, but he followed the barrack with a simulatenous building of a factory and an academy.

The hatcheries of DS were done, and spawning pool and an extractor was in-phase of being finished. Time was passing rather peacefully, for no attacking units were made for all four commanders. Gas was being cumulated in all commander's storage, and they were very needed in constructing, (or morphing) high-tech units. Reaper had gotten another hatchery while getting a lair, followed by a spire. Ares' overload ran in fear of soon-to-come mutalisks from catching it. The DS' double lair was finishing up when both from a drone-sacrifice, got a hydralisk den. The terran? An engineering bay, and a starport. It seemed like either a infantry drop, or wraiths. But, as he added a machine shop to his factory, his plans were still undeterminable.

The DS went to getting an evolution chamber, and so did Reaper. But, Reaper got a queen's nest also, and started to morph into a hive. Possibly trying to go for guardians/wraith combination, he popped a few mutalisks from his idle larvae. He also put two spore counties in order to deter any drops. Myan then constructed two missile turrets covering his mineral line, as well has a bunker below his CC. The add-on was finished on the starport, and it seemed like wraith-cloakability was being researched. All this was done in complete disregards to their opponents, as none made any type of an offensive move. But, it was all to change.

As hydralisks came out to being from the DS' lairs, they sent them behind their mineral lines, deterring any drops/flyers for their own good. When both commanders had gotten 9 hydralisks each, they loaded them into three overlords, and sent them towards Reaper. By this time, Reaper had around 6 mutalisks, and his hive almost complete. Ares, reaching the destination first, didn't head for the mineral line. Knowing Reaper probably had set up anti-air defense at his mineral line, he dropped his cargo at the eastern-most point of Reapers main island. The nine-hydralisks then slithered their way towards the mineral line, but Reaper couldn't do anything as they attacked the spore-colony. As his muta count reached 8, he attacked the spitting hydralisks. A sunken was colonizing next to the upcoming hive, but couldn't reach the hydralisks behind the mineral line. the hydra, and mutalisks engaged in a potentially bloody battle. Fig. 2. The first supposed battleFrom Fig. 2, it seems like the mutalisks are about to rip the hydras to pieces. But for no apparent reason, Reaper decide to use hit-and-run, but ignoring the "hit" part. Just running away, the hydralisks made their way into the mineral line. The acidic spit formed from the hydralisks fell on top of the enemy drones. Even as their exoskeleton was literally melting away, they stood their ground gathering. More than 5 drones met their death, but others ran in safety of the sunkens. But, it was just not Reaper's day. Myan, at this point decided to expand, rather than help his partner. The dying Reaper made another sunken northwest of the original one, but another 9 hydralisks from Strife where the sunken was morphing. In trouble, he used his drones to defend, and finally engaged in the battle. The ensuing battle was a sight. The drones using their little jaws to strip the hydralisks' skin, while mutalisks were throwing their worms around. Few mutalisks melted, then burst in mid-air, giving the spectators a firework. Blood rained, and ground was sizzling from the acid. While Reaper's buildings started to decompose, Myan decided to bring his army of one wraith. Making few zerglings from left-over larvae, Reaper's mutalisks, zerglings, and one cloaked wraith saved Reaper's life; for now. The scene after the battle can be referred to Fig. 3. Fig. 3. What happens when you don't attack while your enemy is killing you Both pairs of sunken and spore colonies were destroyed, so was the queen's nest. But, most importantly Reaper's spire was now a pool of blood, and a hole in the ground. It seemed grim for Reaper, for the only unit he could muster up was zerglings, and un-upgraded overlords. As the events unfolded, DS hydralisks received a Missile attack upgraded and another hatchery, Myan expanded to southeast island, constructed a science facility, and Reaper was dying. Myan, instead of helping Reaper defend, used the units he had to defend himself. The tank's side-arms extended out, and sieged itself from the giant recoil its missiles would create. But they were still at Myan's main. Soon, additional hydralisks, 12 to be exact, arrived and decimated what was left. Reaper couldn't do anything other than grief over his partner's inability, and left with the words "|= u ( ]{, man". Fig. 5. Big pic, eh? When using netzero like i do, this pic takes 4 days to load As the mminimap shows, Strife had just recently dropped 12 hydralisks of his own at the southern most part of Myan's main. His expansion, although found, was left alone for the moment, while Ares enjoyed some free kills still at Reaper's main. Ares also started an expansion at the island between his, and Reaper's main, as shown by a little yellow dot on Fig. 4. Should DS hydralisk-drop, or go for terran's most feared unit, the lurkers? Well, as Fig. 5 show, Fig. 6. Lurkers are cooler than my pantslurkers were on their way, as well as hydralisks to either draw fire and/or destroy terran's detecting units such as comsat and missile turret. Myan knowing his expansion was found, brought a sieged tank to his expansion and constructed the bunker. If the little force right below his nose was found, he could have prepared much better for the insuring attack. Strife expanded to the island between his main and Ares'. Instead of using his little troop to attack the main, he loaded them up to few ovies, and killed the expansion instead. Myan constructed another starport, and a physics lab was added to the science facility. Oh my, was Myan really going for a capital ship in a 2v1? Fig. 6 show Myan's plan. Fig. 7. Did you know I had alt-text?

Mean while, more and more hydralisks came about from three hatcheries each from DS' main, and each of their expansion was going along happily and fine. Ares, getting restless, took 4 overlords full of units, 16 overlords, to Myan's main. From these innocent overlords changed to Fig.9, which then in turn became Fig.10.

Myan knew Strife's units were also on their way, and unwisely spending his valuable minerals and gas on battlecruisers, Myan was force to do the following. Do you need more to explain this picture? If yes, then it means your name is Herbal_Avenger =]

The war was over, and DS was one more step closer in saving Private Ryan.

Patrick: Whoa, that is soo cool!

John: Yeah! Wanna look what the next round is?

Patrick: (worried) Bu..but Grandpa said we couldn't look more than this chapter!

John: Gimme a break! It will only be a peek.

Patrick: (voice cracking) I'm not going to get into trouble for you. It better be only a peek, and we can’t let Grandpa know.

John: Pat, it's only a story, and only a book. What harm could it do? Anyway, I won't tell him, so you don't either, k?

Patrick: K.

(John slowly turns the page, and sees DS will be facing in the next battle.)

The triumphant DS began their journey from now red-stained Dire Straits to their forth match. Facing Team TP, they flew into hyper-drive lightening towards the battleground, Plains of Snow.

John: Team TP? What does that stand for?

Patrick: I don't know. I never heard of 'em! Maybe Tight Pants?

John: Don't be stupid. I think it might be…. Uh, Tolerable Pain??

Patrick: Oh well, just gotta wait till tomorrow. Goodnight, John. I'm busted.

John: Yeah, me too. (trying to scare his little brother)Those hydralisks are scaring me. Hope I don't dream about them. You too. Don't dream about them, okay?

Patrick: You are mean, I bet they will come for me tonight! (sobbing lightly)

John: Ah, man! Don't be a cry baby. Fine, fine, come to my bed. Let's sleep together.

Hehehe, there you go. Don't get any gay ideas now about that last line. It is only brotherly love, so don't get your 25 year old brother and give him that line. =]

Well, I tried to improve by using a book to tell the story, rather than Grandpa himself. I think by doing that, I was able to incorporate more pictures, and a better description of each battles. Hope they are better!
