{69}Element vs. {69}Toothpicky match #2 by Liran Zablodovitch (Death)

In the 2nd matchup, Element was terran at 3:00 and Toothpicky was zerg at 12:00. Toothpicky, being the player that he is, went for once again an early game cheap trick and brought a drone inside his opponent's base and went as fast to the left as he could and built a hatchery. Element caught him doing this and attacked it with an SCV, and marines once they came out, and Toothpicky canceled the hatchery before it's death, thus raising his mineral count higher up and wasting his opponents' time. As soon as time let him, Element marched an army of about 10 marines and 5 SCVs out to dominate his clan opponent. As you can see in the minimap, there is a group of zerglings below the marines which Element didn't catch, and once he sent his army up, the zerglings went inside his base, close enough to interfere the moving marines and SCVs but Element didn't seem to notice. Toothpicky's attack seemed to have done cheap damage, as his zerglings got devoured by 2 SCVs blocking his ramp and a bunker with marines inside. Element's attack on the other hand did some well damage. Toothpicky was in the process of building 2 extra hatcheries, one in his natural's outside expansion and one below his ramp, when Element busted his force in and took both of them out, starting with the hatchery outside his opponent's ramp which got canceled. Unfortunately the expansion hatchery was complete so no way of canceling and making more minerals there. Element made his way inside his opponent's base and retreated after realizing he won't succeed in the attack, and ran back to near his opponent's ramp. His SCVs made 2 bunkers and Element filled them with marines, giving Toothpicky no way out. Once scouting this with a hydralisk, Toothpicky was already well on his way to a lair and upgrading to lurkers. This time Element prepared for something like this to happen, and already had his comstat up and running. 2 lurkers burrowed themselves close enough to attack the bunkers, but while being shot at while burrowing and scanned right after burrowing, they were taken out before having the ability to make some good damage. Unfortunately, Element didn't have enough scanning energy to detect the next lurker coming, followed by another and burrowing themselves at a distance from eachother, slowly taking out the 2 bunkers un allowing Toothpicky to escape from his own base. Element was working on a missile turret next to his bunker but a lurker was burrowed to close to it and took the advantage.

After Element lost the 2 bunkers he made inside Toothpicky's base, he already had 2 more bunkers with marines and medics, as well as a sieged tank and missile turrets right outside Toothpicky's ramp. Toothpicky in the meantime tried to go for an early lurker drop in his opponents' main, but accidentally upgraded the speed first which he noticed when it was about half way done, and didn't want to cancel it since it got that far already. He was also using a lurker from the deep corner of his natural to attack the missile turret down below and also had another burrowed lurker on the top right of the image shown above, while Element was attempting to build a missile turret to detect it. Besides getting the transport upgrade now, Toothpicky stayed short on units and teched up to a hive and greater spire. Then, finally, the lurker drop came in which Element was unprepared for. The drop was very effective, 3 lurkers right in between all the working SCVs causing the remaining SCVs to run for their safety and lift off the Command Center, and 2 Barracks while slowly floating them away. Element brought a siege tank and several marines and medics and finally took out the 3 lurkers, letting him set the buildings back down and get back to work.

Wasting no time, Toothpicky had already advanced to guardians and had 3 of them accompanied by 2 mutalisks, and the guardians started spitting away at the missile turrets outside his base. Element had a wraith ready by the time and went to work on the guardians, while popping out more wraiths from his starport. The guardians retreated back and the 2 mutalisks attempted to kill the wraith, but when they got to shooting range with him, the missile turret would go off so they had to retreat from the attack. A science vessel scouted his way in and irradiated a guardian inside a small group of mutalisks and guardians, affecting all of them as Toothpicky tried to spread them out.

Not too long after, about 8 mutalisks and 2 scourges went to work in Element's main base. They were no match for Element's cloaked wraiths and another irradiate succeeded by a sci vessel, which caused Toothpicky to fly his mutalisks back and prepare for another attack, after doing quite some good damage from this attack. At this time, Element had an expansion outside his natural and Toothpicky had both outside expansions (Top left and bottom right). The next attack was done by Toothpicky once again, this time shutting down his opponent's only expansion using a swarm of mutalisks and devourers, accompanied by overlords.

After this was done, Element announced that he's dead. Nothing more could be done than awarding Toothpicky with his 2nd win against Element, thus proving to himself that he is the better player...
