Tao Tourney: 1st~ vs. [sL]

First of all, yes I am Bane-The-Feared, and yes I left The-Feared for reasons I won't discuss but I think most of you can guess.
After getting back from seeing Gladiator, the best movie in the world, I logged onto b.net looking for a 1v1 or something. I notice [br.com]Limp (Limp_Bizkit)in NoHunters and ask him why he's wearing that. He informs me that the 2v2 Tao tournament is going on in channel "Clan Tao-Tourney" so I decide I'll look for a game with good players in there.
I was very lucky when I found a game that was about to start when I joined the channel: 1st vs. [sL]. I remembered seeing sL from the top 10 2v2 teams on the Tao website so I figure this should be a good game. The players of the game were:
1st~Tsunami (3, Protoss)
1st~BabyTsu (12, Protoss)
Gagman-[sL] (6, Protoss)
DK-[sL] (9, Terran)

In a tourney game, you obviously have to expect an intense and back and forth rushing early game. So here's a list of what each player was going for and their build orders:
Tsunami: He went pylon and then 2 gateways. Tsunami was focusing on zealot production early on for offense and defense, whatever he needed them for. He stationed his zealots at the top of his ramp guarding for an attack.
BabyTsu: He also went pylon, double gateway. Following his master's (Tsunami)orders the whole time, he built zealots early on in the game and also rallied them to his 12 o'clock ramp.
Gagman: Gag built, like everyone else that was toss, pylon, then double gateway. Although early on he and his partner intended to rush, he climbed the tech tree higher than anybody else in the game.
DK: Being the only person that wasn't toss, DK built depot, double rax, and another depot. The 2 rax and 1 depot were stationed a little back from his ramp. He was preparing a force of M&M for a rush w/ Gag's zealots. After that he would build 2 factories for spider mines and vultures followed by tanks.

As you can see, Tsunami is a very talkative person, dictating what he and his partner will do while spamming at the same time! Actually it's the "fake" Tsunami. I still don't know what the heck was up with that...

The first action of the game was taken when team 1st grouped up both of their zealot armies outside of DK's expansion under orders of Tsunami. He was dictating every move the team made from beginning to end heh.
Presumably going out to attack BabyTsu, DK and Gagman send their armies out. DK has an army of about 8 marines and 3 medics while Gagman had roughly 10 zealots.
Unfortunately for DK his army ran smack dab into BabyTsu's zealots that were coming down to meet up with his teammates army. Tsunami really didn't even need to help kill the marines but he did anyway. Almost at the exact second DK's army was destroyed, GagMan showed up with his 10 zealots that at first proceeded to attack team 1st's zealots. After realizing he was greatly outnumbered he sends the zealots to DK's ramp bracing for an imminent attack on his partner.

Using an incredibly smart move, Tsunami orders his partner to send his zealots down to Gagman's main base which will presumably be undefended.
It turns out Tsunami was more or less right. Gagman only had 2 zealots and a warping in photon cannon when the enemy zealots showed up. BabyTsu and Tsunami's zealots moved up the ramp and prepare to destroy some tech buildings ^^. There's no time for that, however, as Gagman's zealot army shows up from DK's ramp. DK also manages to send some M&M to help his teammate.
Team 1st's zealots move back down the ramp and proceed to attack Gagman's zealots coming from behind. A newly warped in photon cannon also rains fire down on the enemy army from it's safe position out of sight.
After destroying Gagman's zealots, team 1st sends their zealots up to begin attacking tech buildings and probes. They didn't count on good micro, however. Gagman pushes his probes out to attack along with some newly made zealots. DL also brings his army and fires away freely as the probes don't let the enemy army move an inch. The enemy zealots (1st) are soon destroyed.

As you can see, Tsunami thinks that DK is teching. It turns out he is correct in his assumption. DK is producing tanks and vultures with mines out of 2 factories. He also has a starport, presumably for SVs, and an armory for upgrades.
After the primary rushes and attempts to destroy or set back one of their opponents, both teams build up for the middle stage of the game.
BabyTsu, under direct orders from Tsunami begins to produce reavers and continues to build up his zealot army. Tsunami begins to tech up to templars (both dt's and ht's). He is also continuously dictating the moves of him and his partner. BabyTsu and his partner both send their zealots and whatever they are currently producing to sit in the middle of the map. They served as recon more than anything because there were only a few troops.
On the other side of the map, DK and Gagman are preparing for an offensive that will require some awesome micro; DK knows this too. He knows that both Protoss players will have psi storm and zealots; they would be able to attack his tanks/mines fairly easily. Luckily for the sL team, the 1st's don't seem to be expecting an imminent attack and they both expand, Tsunami expoing a little earlier.

DK and Gagman decide to launch their attack soon after. They group up their army of zealots, dragoons, tanks, and vultures outside of Tsunami's natural expansion and before too long they send them in. Tsunami sends his goons and dark templars out to defend the attacking force but he couldn't stand up to 2 armies. BabyTsu was forced to send his army of defending zealots down to help his partner.
With Tsunami's remaining dark templars, he was able to support BabyTsu's zealot army to push team sL's forces out of their base.

After this middle-game attack, both teams proceed up the tech tree. Under orders of Tsunami (yet again), BabyTsu builds reavers to compliment Tsunami's templars. Both players, obviously, also build zealots and dragoons.
DK is now building an expansion at his natural; unit-wise he is building a lot of tanks and constantly producing vultures for spider mines. He places a crapload of mines outside his natural expo and puts tanks on the ledge. Gagman also takes his natural expansion and defends it with zealots, dragoons, and dark templars; with the additional support of his partner's spider mines.
At this point, DK aparently thinks too much time has gone by w/o anybody attacking so he loads a dropship with 2 tanks and drops them on Tsunami's natural expansion ledge. Amazingly, since this was mid-game, Tsunami had no dropships but luckily for him (or possibly it was planned out), BabyTsu did. He sent a dropship filled with 4 zealots (that's all he needed) and destroyed the 2 helpless siege tanks. After this Tsunami sends his peons back to work.

At this point a few small, irrelavent things happen. BabyTsu drops 2 dragoons on top of Gagman's natural expo. The goons fire down their little photon thingies at the probes. Before too long, one of DK's tanks sieges up below the goons and disposes of them ^^.
Kind of during the dragoon's reign above the cliff, Tsunami takes his mineral only expansion and BabyTsu begins to build a pylon and 2 cannons at his min-only for a future expansion there. As you can see, team 1st was always just a little bit ahead in resources and was beginning to give them the edge in the game.

All of a sudden, at one time, both teams send their forces to the middle of the map to either gain control, or to group up before an attack. Either way, it would obviously cause some great messups in micromanagement, etc. etc.
Team 1st had the advantage in the battle because their forces arrive in the middle at the same time more or less. Team sL, however, was not so lucky. DK sends his army with one click, not keeping them together. Therefore, his vultures arrive long before his siege tanks and are forced to engage the enemy dragoons, zealots, and templars for the most part. Before the vultures were completely demolished, Gagman showed up with his dragoon force and began to help his teammate's army. The goons were hit hard, however, by Tsunami's powerful, well placed, psi storms and were destroyed fairly quickly. And finally, here come the slow, dumb tanks. They arrive in the middle after the battle is over for the most part. After DK took the time to siege them (in a straight line), Tsunami sent a few high templars to psi storm them. After they were half dead he sent his goons in to finish them off. Team 1st now has control of the middle of the map.

Team 1st, very wisely, decides to counter? team sL. From what I could tell the attack wasn't even coordinated but BabyTsu dropped off a pair of reavers in DK's main base just as Tsunami sent his leftover forces to attack Gagman's base head on.
Soon after BabyTsu destroys many of DK's scv's, he reloads them into his shuttle and drops them off at Gagman's main mineral line. Many of the probes are destroyed but the reavers are killed by a few cannons and supporting probes.
Tsunami's attacking forces are also put to a stop mainly by Gagman's defending dragoons and a few siege tanks up on his cliff.

I was almost sure team 1st couldn't believe their eyes when their attacks both failed. Anyway, after that all the players took the time to rebuild their armies and expand for more resources. Something that was rather funny to watch occured in the bottom-right island expansion. Tsunami and Gagman both went for the expansion at the exact same time. The players raced to get their nexus and photon cannons warped in before the other did. It was hysterical ^^. Gagman turned out to get his cannons warped in first and destroyed Tsunami's nexus and his opportunity for additional resource supply.
After this, Tsunami aparently gets pissed and orders BabyTsu to attack Gagman head on. Using his awesome psi storming skillz ^^ Tsunami destroys about 90% of the defending dragoons and destroys the rest with his own goons and zealots. He also kills 4 newly flown in siege tanks at the top of the left ledge with his psi storms.

Soon after, Gagman's once thriving base was lying in ruins and all he had left was his bottom-right island expansion (good thing he warped in the cannons first ^^).
Kind of during the destruction of Gagman's base, team 1st sends some newly produced forces in hopes of meeting up with a sparsely defended DK main base. No such luck, however; DK had about 30 spider mines in front of about 12 siege tanks on ground level and on the ledge.

Now, after realizing they couldn't use scrap units to push into the last remaining resistence, team 1st sends their main force to DK's main base.

When 1st's attackers (goons, temps, zealots) arrive at DK's main base the tanks can only return minimal fire before being destroyed.
Tsunami and BabyTsu's forces take minimal losses and proceed to destroy the rest of their opponent as all of the players exchange "gg"s.

Some Other Stuff...
I don't know why I just thought this was very amusing...
