INTRODUCTION It was a basketball night, after watching some very intense / close games, I couldn't fall asleep. So I turned on my computer, connecting myself to the internet, and finally logging onto bnet. I went on my new nick - Master-Chef. Once i arrived in NoHunters, I was greeted by ~IronChef~. We chatted about the great show, until someone named Camimuss asked ~IronChef~ to be his partner in a 2v2. With an opportunity of a good game to be watched and battlereported, I asked ~IronChef~ if I could observe their game, he replied a yes. We all met in the gameroom, hellos' and gls' were exchanged and the countdown started. I knew this was going to be a 2v2, but I didnt know this was going to be a hunt for those big, juicy Overlords. The Story the behind the Battle On the planet Korhal, Emperor Arcturus Mengsk was planning on holding a feast celebrating the reconstruction of the Terran Dominion. He held a meeting with his finest chefs, which included ~IronChef~ and his colleague, Caminuss. Mengsk informed his chefs of the upcoming feast. He stated this feast will be a very large event, therefore he will reward the chef with the best dish. The reward contained 10000 minerals, 3500 vespene gas and 10 of his most beautiful medics. ~IronChef~ knew this was the time to cook up his finest dish, Ovie Soup. After the meeting concluded, ~IronChef~ told Caminuss about the idea of the soup. Caminuss wasn't as thrilled about the idea as ~IronChef~ was. He brought up the perils to be faced to get the main element in the soup, an overlord. ~IronChef~'s face went from a bum finding a full bottle of booz to a guy who watches playboy on a 1 inch tv... =D to =[ Later that night... Caminuss was in his kitchen cooking up a buritto, until ~IronChef~ barged into his kitchen. ~IronChef~ tells Caminuss that he has pinpointed the location of a nearby planet with a small Zerg colony, this meant the presence of a few overlords. Caminuss at first was very pessimistic about this suicide effort, but then the image of 10 beautiful medics came to mind, he quickly changed his mind and agreed on accompanying his longtime friend. The Arrival of the Chefs

Caminuss a power protoss warrior, who settled down living with the Terrans, and became a well-known and respected warrior in the kitchen. Howvever his power physical body makes up for the emptiness upstairs.
~IronChef~ a cunning and determined has-been Terran commander, who is now one of the best Chefs found on Korhal. He's a guy who would take the hard/long way to accomplish something with flying stars.

Both warriors arrived onto the planet. A primitive planet that has yet to be developed, with a large amount water, and many small islands (hmm..looks like the SC map : Dire St8s). Due to some techical difficulties, Caminuss's warping device malfunctioned by warping him and his men to the wrong location, warped onto the upper-left isle. While his colleague, ~IronChef~ landed on the bottom-left isle.
From ~IronChef~'s radar they realize two newly spawned Zerg colonies in the isles due east of each chef. ~IronChef~ decided to name the Zergs, he named the one spawned on the upper-right isle, [DON]-SCT-, SCT for short, and the one on the bottom-right isle, Diogenes'Dog, Dog.

~IronChef~ goes 8 depot, 10 gas, and 11 rax. He then constructs 2 more rax soon after his first was finished. Easily you can tell, he's going M&M droppings. His associate, Caminuss who just want to get this over with, goes 7 pylon, 8 gas, 10 gate. As soon as the gate was warped in, he began warping a cyber, and as soon as the cyber was finished, he double stargated. An early, and risky overlord hunt with cosairs, hoping he can get enough overlords before the Zergs powerup, and he can leave this planet with the goods.
The natives of the planet does not enjoy the companys provided by the guests. SCT spawns a hatchery at 11 drones, then 10 gas, and 11 pool. When the pool was done, he morphed his hatch into a lair. He setups a H. den, showing the signs of the deadly Hydra Drop. Dog the white zerg, morphs an extractor on 9, 11 pool, and a lair right after the pool. During the wait for his lair, he spawns a evolution chamber and a hatch. When the lair was finally finished, he begins spawning a spire, without a doubt in his mind, goes for mutas.

After destroying 2 mutas and some newly hatched scourges, Caminuss goes for the overlords. Killing in a range from 5 to 9 overlords, until he gets a knock on his own door by SCT. SCT dropped 12 hydras onto the undefended island occupied by Caminuss. Caminuss's only land attacking units were 2 goons and 3 zealots. Well 12 hydras > 15+ probes + 2goons + 3zeals. SCT destroyed the unguarded nexus and began hammering down on the other buildings. Caminuss had no choice but to watch.

The marines w/ stim made quick work of those flying bugs. ~IronChef~ was able to destroy the spire and SPORE!!! Howvever the attack was cut short by 2 fresh packs of lings. Dog slowly rebuilds, but not out of the game, not like Caminuss is.

Recipe of the Report

Overlord Soup


2-3 strips Overlord skin fat
1 large onion , sliced
2 cloves garlic , minced
2 cups wine (either a red Burgundy/Cote du Rhone or a dry white Cote du Rhone/French vermouth)
2 cups fish stock or clam juice
2 Tablespoons minced parsley
1 whole Overlord
1/2 teaspoon thyme
big pinch of black pepper
big pinch of allspice
1 pound mushrooms , small or cut to mouthful size
20 small boiling onions , unpeeled and with crosses cut into their roots
2 pounds of freshwater fish (preferably eel, but perch or trout or catfish is great), cut in slabs. Traditionally the slabs include skin and bones, but it's a lot easier to eat fillets. In fact, the popular "catfish nuggets" you find in the market are hard to beat.
Fry the the skin in a large saucepan. When crisp, remove the skin and reserve. Add the onion and garlic to the bacon grease and saute until tender. Pour in the wine and the stock, add the parsley, thyme, overlord , pepper, and allspice, bring to a simmer and let it cook for 30 to 45 minutes.
While the soup is simmering, prepare the remaining additions. First, put the little onions into a pan of boiling water and cook them for a few minutes. Drain--the peels will come off easily. Melt a couple Tablespoons of butter over a medium high heat in the same pan (water poured out), then add the mushrooms and toss until they are nicely browned. Remove them to a bowl. Add more butter to the pan and throw in the peeled onions, tossing them until they are patchy brown. Add them to the mushrooms. Deglaze the pan with water and pour all that brown goodness into the simmering broth.
When 15 minutes away from serving, bring the soup to a boil and add the fish. Let it boil slowly for 8-10 minutes, until the fish is just done, then remove the fish to a serving tureen and keep warm. Scrape the onions and mushrooms into the broth, turn to a high heat, and boil hard for 5 minutes to reduce the soup and concentrate its flavors. Pour over the soup, garnish with the buttery canapes, and serve immediately. Then place it all in a food processor, for everything to become more liquid-like.

Note: You do not have to add the overlords however the taste will be gone =[.
