WGL Season 2

Eternal Darkness vs. les Baiseur

Game 2

This is a continuation of a match between Eternal Darkness and les Baiseur.  I have already reported on Game 1.  If you haven't already read it, check it out here.

Team Dark is up one game to none over Team Bais.  This is a best of 3 series.  Jian[Dark] has opted to sit Game 2 out.  [Dark]Terrorist steps up to compete for Team Dark.  GBAISERTAFEMME and GBAISERTAFILLE will fill the need for Team Bais once again.

les Baiseur gets map choice this game and they decide to fight on HEARTWOOD.  The players are ready, the game is hosted and we are off!

Alright! NOT Temple!

AFEMME and AFILLE both choose Protoss again.  [Dark]Terrorist takes Protoss also, and [Dark]Xin decides on Zerg.

The game starts off sensibly enough.  All the protoss are going double Gateway builds.  [Dark]Xin starts off the same as he did in Game1, fast pool followed by a second Hatchery in his main.  Scouts set off all over the map in the form of probes and an Overlord.  Everyone knows where and what everyone else is in a very short time.

AFEMME parks his scouting probe right outside of the zerg base, heh, underneath a tree.  The tree doesn't really provide the cover he wanted.  6 lings quickly kill the probe on the way out of their choke.  The probe dies but it lets AFEMME know the little buggers are out and on the way!

AFEMME decides to meet the incoming lings with 5 of his own zealots.  [Dark]Xin has paused long enough, however, to make the initial 6 lings 12 now, and he has also been joined by [Dark]Terrorist's own 5 zealots.  AFEMME greets the incoming party in his choke and does a fast about face and high-tails it into his base figuring to get the 'safety-in-numbers' defense.

AFILLE sees his partner is in a bind and launches a counter at [Dark]Terrorist's base.

At this time, ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE (or about as loose as it can get in the 'early game')..

Challenges were already issued with the troop movement.  Gloves come off and we have a full-bore "Rush Fest".  AFEMME more than has his hands full with the combined effort of Team Dark's zealots and zerglings.  But, AFILLE has mounted quite a successful counter in [Dark]Terrorist's main.  Though the units are not the ones you would normally see in 'Great Battle Shots', this is fast paced and furious.  And it is WAR.  Neither team wants to lose this game, and both have gone for the jugular right off the bat.

gah, feh, bah.......best thing in this collage is that it took both a zealot and ling to butt-fuck that one probe!

AFEMME saved many of his probes and 2 zealots.  As you can see, this is what he used to raze [Dark]Terrorist's Nexus.  AFILLE made this possible because of his immediate counter attack on [Dark]Terrorist.

As it stands right now, Team Bais has a fully functional protoss and a crazy, pissed-off, vagabond army of 2 zealots and about 10 probes.  Team Dark has a fully functional zerg and a crazy, pissed-off, vagabond army of about 5 probes --- ok, that is not an army.

ewww, is that a tapeworm? (AFILLE is gonna wish it was)Ah, but what is this?  It seems as though [Dark]Xin has amassed a relatively large group of zerglings and has sent them to AFILLE's base.  The group is 24+ strong.  AFILLE and AFEMME order their troops over from razing [Dark]Terrorist's base.  But it is too late.

The zerglings raze pylons covering Gateways, Gateways they couldn't power-down, then start wailing on the Nexus.  (I would provide more pictures, but it is only a bunch of zerglings crushing a protoss base.  I hate the zerg, myself, and have chosen not to offend any other zerg haters by showing the sickening carnage)  At this point in time Team Bais concedes the game and the ability to advance.

Eternal Darkness defeats les Baiseur 2 games to none.

Good job to both teams.  It's not every day you see probes being the main unit taking out a Nexus!

I look forward to observing the Quarter Final matches this coming weekend.  Thanks again to WGL and you peeps that read these.
