Hey, It's Microman. I'm just writing this BR to describe what
was a truly great game. Since most of the people who read this battle report,
(those that read it at www.battlereports.com
anyway, the BR will also be posted on www.aus-1.nu.au)
I will introduce the players.
Heat: Heat's a pretty
good player, mainly focusing in his zerg strategies. He came pretty high in
the Aus-1 ladder I think, I'm not too sure. He's a pretty consistant player
though, and isn't well known for pulling strange and unorthodox moves. In
this way, he's alot like Tillerman. He knows what he wants to do, he always
does it, but he does it well enough that he still wins alot.
Crap007: Crap007
is one of the better players on the Aus-1 server, and he also runs Hack
The Bone, which is alot like an Aus-1, I Can't Win. He is a random player,
and always seems to pull out some weird ass move to win game (Like S.C.V.
Marine rushing on temple vs toss, and winning).
Now that i've introduced the players, on to the game. The game
is to be played on the not-so-lost-anymore temple, and the players, Crap007
and Heat both random. 007
recieves the 9 position, as teal terran, whereas Heat
recieves the 12 oclock position, where he morphs his first buildings, as orange
zerg. I am in the company of Dragon~Cast (Elm), and Crap700 as fellow obsevers.
I'm sure I don't need to show a picture of the lost temple,
so I will leave the till a bit later. Both players go about their respective
builds, with 007 starting a wall in, in his main base, with a gas, depot,
and barracks; whereas Heat, morphes a hatchery, just below the ramp, obviously
intent to take his natural expansion.

As Heat is busy playing, Crap007 tells
us all to shutup and watch. Korean style. I've heard a lot of korean rules,
but I never knew that talking was bad manner. Thankyou Crap007
for clearing this up for me. Both
players continue with their build orders, Crap007
knocking up a second supply depot below his command center, and then proceeding
with 2 factories. Heat begins morphing a lair,
immediately after his spawning pool finishes and he has 100 gas. 007
is quick to realise that with his hard tech build, he will need some quick
defence, and with only 4 marines, heat could have probably over run him right
here, right now, if he had played a slightly different build. But then I start
seeing things, 1 factory get its addon, and the other starts flicking, showing
a definate sign that vultures were being constructed. An interesting discussion
perks up, and I procede to say how vultures suck vs zerg. Elm and 700 are
quick to tell me that I am wrong, with the following discussion.
Anyway, after that little incident, 007
procedes on with a starport, a dropship, 2 tanks and siege mode. He loads
up a turbo newby, but is quick to find that Heat
hasn't taken his natural expansion. Lucky for 007, Heat
is just starting to morph an expansion at 3, which he finds on the
way home with his dropship. The expansion is quickly canceled, and the drone
is mulched.
Heat realizing the possible danger
to his main base from drops, quickly morphs 3 creep colonies, and then turns
them into sunken colonies. He also starts to madly tech up to guardians.

007 scans Heat's
base and realizes he has to do something fast. He starts up a tank push outside
Heat's hatch, and progressively pushes in. But
then a swarm of hydras, lings, and mutas charges, the tanks fight valiantly,
but the claws of the zerg quickly tear apart the tank drivers, rending flesh
and metal. Heat now retakes 3, aswell as his
natural expansion.
Heat quickly powers out a force,
now coming from 3 hatcheries, morphs up 3 guards, sends 3 speeded overlords,
and attacks. All the observers now agree, that 007
is quite dead. Heat charges in, only to find
that there is no natural expansion. He then charges up the ramp with his lings,
and hydras, but 007 is a crafty fellow. 2 tanks
await, sieged up, aswell as a small number of marines and medics. A few goliaths
also grace the battle field, but the main killer is the 4 wraith that 007
sends behind the enemy lines and destroys the guardians and overlords with
there missiles, much like a pneumatic drill laying into a rotten pumpkin.
007 survives, atleast for the
time being, and realizing he needs to knock heat off his feet, he builds a
fleet of 8 wraiths and goes hunting. Now we all know how much Wraiths >
Overlords, and 007 's are no exception. They
fly around the map, dodging needles from Hydralisks, and avoiding anything
that hits air, and procede to rape a large amount of overlords.
While he is raping overlords with his wraiths, 007
still takes the time to amass a mighty 12 tanks, take his mineral only, take
the 6 expansion, and move his army to the mineral natural. Heat
takes 3's natural expand, and then procedes to attack 007
viciously, with a huge force. I'll let the animated gif speak for itself.

After this long battle, lets take a look at the upgrades of
both players.

As you can see, Heat vastly out
upgrades 007. 007
tries to counter attack, and splits his forces to attack both the zerg mineral
natural, and the zerg natural expansion at 3 ocklock. However, Heat
just has too much power, and dispatches both of the forces with large amounts
of ultras, cracklings, hydras and guardians. Those of you who are more observant,
will also have noted that Heat's guardians are
only taking 1 damage from his enemies valkyries.
Its just a matter from here on, where Heat
just runs over the rest of 007
main base, with a large force of hydras, ultras, guards,
mutas, and cracklings which he has loaded into dropships. 007
concedes.

This has been a
Microman production.
