Location:Centrus Prime,a Federation shipyard in the Praza system.
Ben walked to the bridge as his ship`s engines roared to life for the first time.The Defiant-class starship Avenger slowly exited the docking bay into space."Where to Captain?" The Helmsman asked as he turned off the auto-pilot."Starbase 112,we have an escort mission once our fellow Defiant`s exit CPrime." Ben took a cup of cofee (who cares if it`s Star Trek,gotta have cofee in EVERY story.Almost as essential as a Bengaalas) from the Mr. Insta Cofee 4000.The Avenger headed for her appointed destination and awaited the finishing of her sister ships:the Auriga,Scythe,Maximus,Gladiator,Revenger,Solo and Terranis.
"Uhhhhhh.Captain." One of the crewman said as he looked away from the sensor screen. "What?" Ben asked. "Picking up an unidentified vessel that resembles the signature of a Borg Cube.";"SHIT!!Alert base,ready weapons,all ships on red alert." The 4 completed Defiant`s powered their weapons and warned the fleet as they deployed gravity mines.The Cube was slowed for an hour and a half as the mines clung to it,using the power of their gravwell generators to hold it down.The 4 Defiant`s-Avenger,Auriga,Scythe and Maximus-made a hasty run to the local Starbase,the Cube in hot pursuit."If we`re fighting a suicide battle we`re doin` it on home turf." Ben said to himself as the Cube came within firing range of the Starbase`s defense cannons.A battle quickly began as the Cube tried to split it`s fire between the Defiant`s and the station.It quickly lost half it`s sheilding and prepared to warp.Then the Avenger loosed more anti-gravity mines,halting it in place again.The pulsed phasers of the station and the Defiant`s finally ripped through the sheilding and destroyed the Cube.The explosion rattled the entire area as debris flew everywhere.
"Good job crew."Ben congratulated the crews of the 4 ships under his general command."Take us home for repairs and recrewing." He ordered the helmsman as the Avenger led her sisters back to Centrus Prime.The Maximus finished three days later.A week of passed with no activity as one by one the Defiant squadron (Squadron also means a large number of ships,at least 4-5) was completed."This is Captain Ben,commanding officer of the Defiant-class Avenger.Welcome to the fleet.All of you are to set course for Starbase 112 in the Sigma D system.Captain Ben,out." Ben got up as the ships set course for Sigma D.It would be a 3 day trip at best and he wanted some sleep.

Base Commander Marvin Harlock ran as fast as his bleeding legs could carry him.He rounded a corner only to meet a shining steel blade.He felt a sharp sting and fell to his knees."Tarakula Masigna."The thing in the shadows whispered.Everything went black as a headless corpse toppled onto the side.The Klingon walked to the head and screamed a horrific battlecry.
The Klingons had broken a peice pact.All hell was about to break loose... |
