I just then realized hhow sad my ladder rating was. I decided it was time to play some ladder games. I entered a game called "1vs1 Ladder". This is the discussion that took place in the "ready room":

The map was Lost Temple, pretty big for just two people. I was terran and he was toss. I decided to play cheap that game and do mass marines, so, after sending a SCV to scout the large map, I went straight for five barracks. As I was churning marines and had found his base I was attacked by 5 zealots. At this time I had ten marines. They were killed by the zealots, which there were still three left of. I lifted my CC, but not my barracks. I continued to make marines and attacked with my SCVs. They killed one and when my marines were done I was safe. I then started churning again. Once I had 50 marines I decided to do an attack on his mineral line, because I knew it was poorly protected from my previous scout. My marines charged in, surprised to find no cannon resistance. In fact there was no resistance. I sat there and enjoyed myself watching his base be destoyed.
Well, I won as terran. Amazing. And my ladder was up to 967!!! Yeah. A few more wins and I would be to my rightful position at 1050.
I joined another game, this on titled "ffa Newbies!!!", I needed an easy win. When I entered this is the conversation that took place:

CRAP, I was terran again at the 9:00 position, and the map was Lost Temple. Once more I scouted immediatly where my opponent was last time. I found him right there at the 5:00 position and he was toss. Wait a second...this game is the exact same as last game! Except for on key difference...it was 1v1v1. I scouted and found yellow, who was zerg in the 7:00 position. I then did mass marines again(I know its sad, but its not like I use terran a whole lot.) After I had built my five barracks and had started churning out marines toss rushed. I could take care of this, but not what followed. During toss's rush I just HAPPENED to be rushed by yellow. During this two on one fight I was doomed to lose and left.
My ladder rating was 971 now, four points higher than I started. I entered another game titled "1v1 NO RUSH".
The conversation was just as boring as the last two so I won't make you read it. This is what happened in the game:
I was TERRAN again!!! Since I was terran I decides NOT to do a mass marine. Surprise, huh? I instead built tanks and wraiths. Since it was no rush I didn't have to worry about an early attack...or did I? Sure enough I did. Luck was certainly not on my side today. I was rushed with hallucinated arbiters and perished at the hand of recall.
My ladder was now 921. :( I HAD to play another game or my reputation would be ruined. I joined the game titled "FFA, no rush!!!" If you have read the rest of this report I bet you know what will happen. I will describe it in one lllooooonnngggg run-on sentence.
I chose random and of course, I was TERRAN, I went marines and tanks, scouted, was rushed by toss, then zerg, lifted off, got killed, and left.
Well, now you know why me ladder is so low. Next time you see me on B.Net don't think I suck really bad, because you know my story. Bye!!! |
