Welcome to the Gladiators' Arena!
Don't you get one of those rushes to play a game all of a sudden, against people that
are really good, and you just want to be schooled? And then afterwards, don't you just feel
like you wanted to shoot yourself because you made that decision? Guess what folks, that's how
I felt today when I played some ppl from clan -x17. Boy, are they good, they owned me and my
partner 77nuke77[GOD]. Anyways, I didn't feel like playing anymore afterwards, but a strange
sensation, rushed into the chemical make-up of my body. The addiction of writing
Battlereports, therefore, I bring you, the readers, a Starcraft Gladiator Matchup!!
Today's Gladiator contestants are R.A.G.E. who was on one of his nicks, [eborg] , and in
the other contestant, Subkaiser. There were 2 other observers other than me: Chargon, and er...I forgot. Sorry. hehe.
Anyway, after downloading another obs. map of Lost Temple (grrrrrrrrrrr...is there any other map ppl
can play on?!!!!!!) This is a best of 3 series, and we shall see who will best
their opponent in this series. Enough of the intro, game 1 is underway! (WARNING! There is an
animation that is about 3 megabytes so I'd suggest grabbing a soda and some chips and watch
some TV before you read it. The animation is really bloody and gory, so you'll like it and
not want to have to wait for it)
Subkaiser (white but you can't see the difference so I'll use
green) selects the infamous zerg swarms with their minions ready to devour any terran or
protoss force. He infests himself on the 9 o'clock position of the Lost Temple. Meanwhile,
opting for random, [eborg] (yellow, but you can't see that clearly either, so I'll use red, o and btw, Johnny, how come I can't make this background black??!!) also drew zerg and infested his
brood at the 12 o'clock position. Subkaiser decided to go a
power build with 2nd hatch, spawning pool and then another hatch at his natural, looking
for cracklings as his main unit. Eborg , on the other hand,
decided to go a tech build with spawning pool, hatch, gas, and lair teching to mutas.
Eborg soon broke the silence of peace and launched an attack of
about 24 zerglings and ran rampant to Subkaiser's natural.
Subkaiser only had about 16 zerglings and 1 badly placed sunken
for defense at his natural. As the zerglings started devouring each other turning cannibal,
eborg hatched 4 mutas and started harrassing lone overlords.
The zerglings quickly razed Subkaiser's natural, but could not
fight their way up the ramp because of defending zerglings and hydras.
Eborg, decided to expand to his natural and mineral only, due to his overload in
resources, and knows, the only way to win, is don't even try to compete with Bill Gates in the
bank, but spend your resources to get more! He fortifies these with 2 sunkens each and a few
zerglings/mutas that he produces out of these hatcheries (he built 2 per expansion).
Subkaiser , hit fairly hard and still in the stone age with
hatchery tech, rebuilds his natural and adds a few more defenses. He morphs a lair and now starts
cranking out lurkers to support his hydras in the impending attack of zerglings/mutas from
eborg .
At this time, both players began stepping up production and massing units like there was no tommorrow. Chargon kept ranting
about how lurkers/hydras own and discussing strat that Subkaiser
could use to beat eborg . Eborg
was continuing to build zerglings which later became cracklings and mutas, while
Subkaiser continued pumping out hydras and lurkers.
Time would soon tell which army was the one to crush the other. Both players now added more
hatcheries to produce more troops to overwhelm the other. Ironically, nobody upraded throughout
this time, and a serious battle was about to take place outside of the 9 o'clock natural.
Eborg
made the first move. He mobilized his huge army over towards
Subkaiser's natural. Before the fighting took place, eborg
decided to expand like a whore, and all at once, took 3 expansions: the 3 o'clock position, the
3 o'clock natural, and the 3 o'clock mineral only natural. During this time,
Subkaiser's hydras provoked attack and lurkers burrowed to
prepare for the onslaught. The end result is a carnage, which is shown below.
Now, Subkaiser decides to go on a killing spree. He slaughters
a whole bunch of troops at the 12 o'clock mineral only and destroys the exp, hunts down the
3 o'clock mineral only exp with all his troops and moves on to the 3 o'clock natural with all
his troops. However, eborg is not content to give up. Nowhere
near that. He was never idle in his bases watching his expansions getting destroyed. On the
contrary, with the total of 5 hatches at his natural and main bases, he masses cracklings and muta
while carefully monitoring the hydras. He waits for them to strike his 3 o'clock natural
expansion and moves in for the kill. Subkaiser is caught by
the balls now, because his natural and his main are VERY VERY VERY (could i be more vague..hehe) lightly defended. There are about 6 hydras here at the base with a few zerglings and no lurkers. The
yellow zerg forces overrun the white ones and start razing his main.
Subkaiser , as soon as the yellow forces hit his natural, panicks and runs all his forces back. They hold off the attack, but what
remains of his main is an evolution chamber with 19 hitpoints. Eborg
, knowing that if that last building falls, will be the victor, so he takes about 8
mutas and attempts to destroy the building. If falls, and the victor for this round is
EBORG!!!!
This has been a -MrCow- production. Thank you all for reading and I certainly hoped you enjoyed
reading it as I did writing it. (BTW, this took me a looooooooooooooooooooong time to make
