I played this game some time ago. I was in the midst of a losing skid on ladder, probably because I had been indecisive during my games. So for this game, I decided to just do a mass low-tech macro approach and just see what happens. I joined the first ladder game on the games list, which was a 1vs1 on Lost Temple.

JSH: Random-Protoss, 6:00 start.
Evenflow: Random-Zerg, 12:00 start.

So I'm going to Zealot this guy to death. I did a standard zealot rush build of gateways at 9th and 11th probes, and just made zealots and probes continually. When I had 12 zealots ready, I decided to attack. I noticed he had already taken over his natural expansion, and was defending with 3 sunkens and about 16 zerglings. I decided to try to overrun this expansion. The battle ensued and I managed to take out the defenders, and was left with 3 weakened zealots. However, as they began pounding on the drones, reinforcement zerglings raced down from the ramp and killed off my zealots.

I had set up a 3rd gate at home during this attack, and so was making zealots out of all 3. I got 12 in a short period of time, and sent this wave out. I was met in front of his ramp by a large group of zerglings (30?) with replacement sunkens in front of his expansion hatchery. The zealots and zerglings fought, and everyone died. A stalemate.

Back home, I was just now getting gas, and a forge and cyber core. I placed a couple of cannons at some haphazard spots in my base, and began forge upgrades. I was still making zealots. Since my main's minerals were getting low, I expanded to my natural. Not 5 seconds after the nexus warped in, 24 zerglings and 6 hydralisks attacked it. My dozen or so zealots valiantly defended and slaughtered the attackers.

I now got a Citadel of Adun, since I figured that if I'm going to use zealots, I might as well have them be quick. I also made a 4th gateway and made you-know-what out of all 4. I got a group of about 20 speed zealots together and decided to attack yet again. In front of his ramp, I ran into about 24 hydralisks. They fought and I watched the battle for a little while. When it got down to 4 zealots vs. 8 hydralisks, I shifted my attention back home, thinking my zealots are dead. But when I looked back a few seconds later, my 4 zealots were beating down just 2 hydralisks that were left. Wow, cool. I then ran in the 4 zealots just to see what's there. He had placed a hatchery at the ramp and had sunkens on the high ground. Great.

About this time my intuition told me, "hey stupid, he's probably going to get mutas and kill you." Since I had a gas surplus, I made a Templar Archives, so I could make Archons. I didn't feel like micromanaging with Psi Storm, hehe. I also sent a lone probe to the 9:00 position to expand there. Well, wouldn't you know it, as the Nexus is warping in, 6 mutas came by and killed the probe. Fortunately, I had 2 archons. The mutas came by and flew around my base as the archons ran after them trying to shoo them away. The mutas flew off and this is where the fun begins.

Evenflow: "You have the maphack."
Me: "I do?"
Evenflow: "Yes, you do."
Me: "And why is that?"
Evenflow: "Because you have the perfect counter to all of my units. You had speed zealots for hydras, and archons for mutas. You know you have the maphack."
Me: "I think you're full of shit."
Evenflow: "I have to go take a shit right now."

(He disconnects. The game was set to No Penalty, btw.)

So by blind luck, pure coincidence, and the natural progression of the Templar tech tree, I was a maphacker.

Lessons learned:
1. Anything you do can be considered maphacking.
2. Speed zealots is apparently the counter to hydras. Funny, I thought it was reavers or something.
3. Don't play games set to No Penalty.
