The first thing I'll say is that I will not include screenshots. UO screenshots are obscenly large, at over a meg apiece for one of the suckers... So just use your imagination!
In a small woodland village, called Yew, a young adventurer was wadering through the forest, on a hunting trip. Although he was rather young, he had a short, yet think, black beard. He was wearing a suit of studded leather, and carrying a longbow. He stopped to rest under the shade of one of the many huge Yew trees, and nearly fell asleep when he heard a rustling and a grunt... Then a crashing sounds... One thought screamed through is mind, "ORCS!"
He sprang to his feet, and when the first orc emerged from some nearbye trees, he promptly nailed it in the head with an arrow, but when many, many, others emerged he knew he stood no chance. One-on-one with one of the simple orcs was almost unfair in his favor... But now, he was faced with dozens and dozens of orcs, many of wich were heavily armoured with large war axes... And behind them, towering over even the mighty Yew trees... Were huge, lumbering, 2 headed ettins carrying clubs much larger than himself... And even more threatening were a few orcs, who were glowing slightly... Magi.... He immediately fled for his very life.
Meanwhile, in the town proper, the citizens were going about their daily lives, totally unaware of the impending attack... And only gave a slight glance when a youn, dark-haired man burst from the shelter of the forest screaming something that sounded vaugly like "ORCS! BEWARE, THE ORCS ARE ATTACKING!" Many just shook their heads and laughed... But then they heard the savage battle cry of the orcish horde. Then nearly 200 orcish beasts and nearly a dozen ettins burst from the cover of the forest, and tore into the few defenders who were on guard at the moment.
The fighting was savage, but immediately the call to arms went out. Now, with others to take the blunt of the assault, the young hunter turned twoard the attack, and immedialy started to shower one of the hulking ettins with arrows, and smiled gleefully as it fell, arrows sticking out of both of its groutesque heads. Then, slowly at first, but at an increasing pace, warriors from all across the realm began to come, and the orcs began to fall in increasing numbers, all the while our young hunter was felling any who came within range of his longbow. Soon the attack had been repulsed, and the few orcs who attempted to flee were chased down and butchered like cattle. Surveying the carnage, the young adventurer smiles, and began to search the orcish corpses for anything of value...
Well, this ends the first UO BR! I hope you liked it! Oh yes, in case you couldn't figure it out,I was the young adventurer!
