The Lost Temple
The Players:
AEV'00 Zerg @ 9
Ceegen Protoss @ 12
The early builds start off with AEV going with a 10/9 extractor trick then his spawning pool, gas, followed by a second hatchery at his natural and a third on top of his ramp. Ceegen starts off with a pylon at his ramp followed by a gateway, zealot, then a nexus at his natural expansion.
AEV sends his scouting zergling and runs up the ramp seeing 1 zealot and 1 gateway but is quickly killed. Ceegen sees AEV's expansion due to the path to his base and gets good recon of what he is up to.
AEV decides the time is right and sends 6 zerglings to do some probe harassment and run right past the zealot stationed on top of the ramp which didn't eat his Wheaties. Ceegen immediately took his probes from mining duty and proceeded to pimp/bitch slap all 6 of the zerglings without losing a single probe, they must have been fed up of the zealots getting all of the glory (and ate their Wheaties).

AEV starts his lair while Ceegen transfers some workers to his expansion and gets a forge with some cannons to protect his ramp and expansion. AEV sends some more zerglings but they are pimped again by probes and zealots with a shield battery.
AEV has his spire finished now, and Ceegen doesn't even have a pylon near his main nexus, and his cybercore isn't even finished yet.

Now AEV makes a big mistake in not having the available money and food as soon as the spire completes to make 6-9 mutas and instead has to make them 1 at a time and sends them afterward. This is a very important event in the game because if he sent them as soon as he got 6 with available money and food he would have won the game there, instead he waits until more complete and allows cannons to warp in. Small things like this separate decent players from the elite, attacking the opponents weakness ASAP while not spending money on things that are unimportant to the rush.
The mutas finally arrive and are greeted by fresh cannons, but the cannons are unable to cover the assimilator and it is quickly wiped out with the mutas on hold position. Probes quickly build more cannons and the cannon spread repels the mutas and they retreat just west of Ceegen's main base.

Ceegen now adds more gateways with both his bases working efficiently and gets observers and corsairs. AEV starts his hydra den to focuses more now on hydras/lurker/ling.
AEV has decided that his pimp squad gosu defense of 7 zerglings and a couple sunkens is enough to hold any protoss attack and he decides to expand to the 6 starting position.

An observer quickly spots this and a pimp squad of dragoons and zealots quickly take it down before a mineral was even mined from it.

Generally it's not good to pump drones and try to expand when the other person has more troops than you and can kick your ass at any given time.
Ceegen now has a good force of corsair, and a roaming observer spots AEV trying to expand to the top island with 12 hydras for defense, also with mutalisks still flying around the area. Ceegen's observer spots this and the corsair quickly take down the mutas.

After this encounter he decides not to take on the expansion but to go into his main and natural for some overlord harassment. He takes out a good deal but hydras and some mutas make Ceegen retreat.

Now I don't know what Ceegen was smoking, but I am certainly not intimidated by small numbers of mutas especially when I have large amounts of corsairs. I guess he lost his manhood as a young boy.

Ceegen finally wises up and greets the zerg flyers in the middle with flowers, candy, and a whole bunch of bolt particle thingies from dragoons and corsairs.

Since Ceegen has been pumping hard from all his gateways he has a big force of zealots and dragoons. I was suprised to not see psi-storm in the mix, but Ceegen felt he didn't need it I guess since he was so gosu. He marches directly into the main of AEV and introduces the zerglings and hydras to psi-blades and lightning bolt thingies which leave them in a real nasty pile of blood.

He popped alot of overlord with corsair too. It takes about 4-5 waves of hydralisks pouring down the ramp to finally kill the last of the dragoons tearing up AEV's natural, he doesn't even get to kill the hatchery, his corsair made it out alive though =oD~.
Since all those overlord got waxed, AEV put all of them in his main, leaving his expansion detectionless allowing an observer to chill there mumbling those korean phrases and bong noises.

Since Ceegen constantly produced more gateways, and more zealots and dragoons out of them he quickly had a force of zealots and dragoons again which quickly rolled over AEV's natural and main like a 'possum under a Mack truck (ewwww).

My Comments/Lessons
1. Most fights can be won in under 10 minutes if you just find a weakness and hit it right and hard. Finding this weakness and hitting it in the most cost-effective way makes good players good.
2. Learn to save up larvae as zerg, I see alot of people trying to always make stuff out of the hatcheries when they should be saving for something as in the spire situation. It's good to have that 6-9 larvae with money and food ready with available money as soon as your spire pops instead of making them one at a time.
3. If you're a baller you can whoop zerg without storm. Still a nice thing to use to kick their ass harder though.
4. I THINK the early protoss expand is more powerful than the early zerg because probes and zealots with shield battery can hold off a decent zergling attack. If protoss gets powerful early like that, it would be kinda hard to stop a mad upgraded zealot rush because they can catch zerg in transition from mass lings to mass hydra. If you get caught powering up while expanding with those speedy hydras, you had better have cannons or reach under the desk and unplug that you know what.
5. Generally expand when you are A) Very low on money and you're about to go dry in desparation. B) You and your opponent are about at a stalemate in offensive units and defense where your attack would fail and his would too. C) When there is no offensive threat. D) While attacking or winning a major battle. AEV made the mistake of expanding when he didn't even have enough units to defend his natural/expansion, and pumping workers when he should have been making units.
6. Both players made lots of mistakes which could have been easily capitalized by more veteran players, which is what makes them veterans. AEV'00 by not seeing the protoss expansion all I think, and by trying to expand twice pumping drones instead of massing units out of his existing hatcheries.
7. Ceegen won with timing and recon, two very important ingredients to victory in starcraft. His mass observers allowed him to deny expansion attempts and know exactly what AEV had and where.
Good Day Everyone and ThX for Reading!!! Comment Plz and rate!
