Lifetime Rating for D$^Gob_X: 5.0000 |  | I know no HTML, so there are no pics, but this is a document on an interesting game I had yesterday. It was the first proof of how far I have come in Starcraft in the past weeks.
CORSAIRS ARE GOOD!
2 v 2 On BGH(*gag!*)
There comes a times in ones starcraft life where you have a game and you kick someone's ass so bad you feel like a god.
And I had this game yesterday.
The Match-Up:
Maholkovich(Protoss) vs. D$^Gob_X(Protoss)
At the start of the game it was 2v2, but both our allies got booted or quit, (Did my lag bot do that? Nah.....) So it was 1v1 like I wanted. I started off in the 6 clock position while he started in the 8. I expected to get pasted but I decided to play safe and standard. Went Pylon/Gateway/Pylon/Gateway and quickly got 6 zealots out. My opponent did the same but he didn't know where I was, I scouted. I then went for a forge,gas,gatway#3,4 and Cyb Core. I wanted to see I could beat him protoss dumb style. I then built 2 more forges and templar archives. I as usual did my trademark ultra-compact style of base with 3 cannnons on each side. I decided to go unorthodox in bgh and *gasp!* an expansion above his base at 9 oclock with 4 tempars and 2 dts on defence, I thought it was going all right, I had the whole place probed up then, boom! in came about 20 dts and zealots. My 4 temps did good work because he like most bgh players don't use spells. But expansion went boom! very fast. Down below I had about 130 units already. I decided to launch a counter-strike, my attack was short lived as he had strangely built about 40(no joke!)
photon cannons in the centre, nomore expanding for me, and my attack failed cuz he had 50 zealots campin up there. Now it was his turn, things we looking bad but thanks to my macroing skills I had just enough to stop his raid, once again my 6 high temps were the deciding factor in me staying alive. I was all teched up in like every way and knew gorund was futile, I went for some mass dropping. I pack 4 reavers in 2 shuttles and an observer and went to the guys side. NO DEFENCE! IT WAS A FREE RIDE IN! He invited me right under his line. And my reaver being very courteous fellows jumped on the oppurtunity. DOwn went all his probes, he almost lost nexus but finally got smart and got me with about 5 dts. I was about to give up when I thought, hey, carriers! We finally started talking and asked "How many untis u got?" I said "All 200 food used, U?"
He didn't reply, I soon found why. I had 8 carriers and 5 corsairs and bout 4 scouts and 4 reavers in shuttles in to his weak side. BOOM! He was silent.....tooo silent. I instantly wreaked hell and destroyed his nexus and gateways.
Then it came, about 14 carriers and 3 arbiters! I gulped. That's whathis army was spent on. He thought he had it won. His evil smile became a frown quickly as these crazy new untis called "corsairs"or something cast some crazy spell that like stops attacks or something. He had 14 useles carriers. I had 8 working ones. His base went boom as my 6 reavers cleaned up his 60 cannons built around 3 pylons.
He lost. I won. He learned that corsairs do something, I laughed my evil 6 red ping smile. Another victory for me!
(My lifetime record's 20-60 now!(OH YEAH!})
(I know....us Canadians all suck, but the cold weather does something to us.) |
