Hello, this is round one of the utterly organized Tao-Tourney. Team SAINT and some other team(doh) were doing the business and dreaming of mousepads. This BR does not have a theme. In fact these games pretty much sucked, but I wasted 2 hours last night meandering around b.net and listening to swedes and germans talk gibberish so damnit, I better do a BattleReport. Thanks.

Map: The Hunters

The game began with suckybashkir as Terran, his partner, RedSaw, as Protoss; and both of the SAINTs as Protoss. Suckybashkir opted for a wallin and mass infantry as all three protoss went for double and triple gate builds and began to mass zealots. The first action of the game was when I killed one of my SCVs, but the first important action was taken by SAINT as they tried to take control of the middle. Both Protoss moved out with 8 or 9 zealots each toward the center. suckybashkir and RedSaw caught wind of this move, however, and soon had forces of their own walking toward battle. Sucky had several marines and RedSaw had 8 or so zealots of his own, but it would be a sticky battle. Suckybashkir and RedSaw drew the short straw as SAINT took control of the middle and sucky was forced to withdraw his remaining troops as Red's were eliminated. SAINT took the offensive as they had remaining troops in the middle and they attacked RedSaw. RedSaw had scant zealots to defend with. He urged his partner to let him be and counter attack on the SAINTs. sucky gathered several marines and medics and a vulture and headed off for Kid's base. The battle was short, however, as Kid had zealots and cannons for defense. RedSaw fought like something that fights a whole lot but was destroyed. It looked very grim for suckybashkir. He as Terran against two very intact Protoss players. He started to mass infantry and medics as the last of his partners buildings were destroyed. The Protoss players got a little cocky I think, because they both started to do some teching. Kid went for Reavers as Stim opted for DTs. suckybashkir was not going to sit around and let them tech him over so he moved out with his 40+ marines and medics. They met up with the remaining dragoons and zealots in the middle and made short work of them.

Suckybashkir's marines were simply too much for the protoss forces and he continued his march to Stim's base. The marines enter and encountered a few DTs but those were quickly taken care of with scan. Stim started an expansion at the upper left position as his main was hollowed. Kid desperately struggled for reavers as another forced of MMs entered his base. A reaver did appear but it did not stay for dinner. Soon both players were under sucky's control as all that was left was cleaning up. The marines found the expansion attempt by Stim but nothing would stop the Terran juggernaut now. GGs were exchanged and the first round bout was over with suckybashkir and his dead partner moving on into the next round.

Congrats to suckybashkir on a game well played and shame on you team SAINT.

The next game I watched was a second round match in which team {iM} from Sweden spanked team SeeD. I'm not gonna write anything about that, except that I didn't understand much of their swedish.

Anyway, they won, I watched. Bleh.
