If He Bleeds You Can Kill Him

Cast Of Players:
I surfed on over to the nohunters channel to see what was happening when I spot Johnny_Vegas trying to organize a 2 vs 2 game. He might as well have been trying to sell sand to Saudi Arabia. I couldn't understand why people were content to sit around so I volunteered to be part of the blood shed. BikeTurtle also joined in with Vegas finally convincing a 4th to join. (Sound of twisting arms heard)

Aftershock is chosen and Vegas creates the game only to find 3 people in. But instead of scrapping the idea Johnny says that he's up for a 1 vs 2... him vs Bike and myself. Hey I'm down for any game but BikeTurtle doesn't want to be beat ‘like a pinata' by the terran master. J assures him that he's never won a 2 vs 1 game but if he does it's going to be a BR. Sure like I need to be that famous.

Off To The Races:
I let the winds of fate to decide my fate and spawn as the vile zerg in the lower right of the map. BikeTurtle chooses the noble protoss and warps in on the lower right. Vegas drops his CC in the upper right quadrant. I go a 8 drone spawn pool, extractor build while Bike goes gateway for zeals. My overlord searches for J and is assisted by a batch of freshly spawned zerglings. The zerglings find Vegas in the upper right with a walled off ramp and 2 rax churning away. I kill a couple marines before the lings ichor colours the ramp red. I quickly expand and tell Bike that our enemy is upper right. I park my scouting OL just above a cliff near Vegas' expansion and think about containing him with lurkers.

BikeTurtle also expands and warps in another nexus along with cannons for defense. Some zerglings I left in front of the Terran base are under attack and I see Vegas breaking out with a medarine group. I start having second thoughts and quickly drop 2 sunkens at my expansion and start pumping hydras. J tests my expansion and decides he doesn't like the taste of the sunken sandwiches I left for him. So he veers to the left and attacks Bike's expansion. Bike was teching and had minimal troops there. Stimmed marines filled the air with U-232 shells. That feeling in my gut wasn't getting any better. I send a wave of hyrdas over to Bike's expansion to assist only to be fed to the ravenous terran rifles. But I did reduce the number of marines and bought Bike some time so when I came back with the second wave of hyrdas I got some assistance from Shakuras. Hydras and dark templar send Johnny packing. I expand a 3rd time to a fire base just south of Johnny's main; my drones barely avoiding J's marines. Okay I'm feeling a little better as lurker aspect finishes. I mutate 2 lurkers to contain Vegas and send about 12 hydras to assist. My OL detects JV has just expanded and I send the hydra/lurkers in. Must have caught JV by surprise as I quickly topple the building base with little loss of life. I burrow 2 lurkers and lose another one to tank fire. Feeling better about containment I drop down a spire and get a pack of mutas.

"I'm going for a drop" Bike tells me. I see that he's loading up a shuttle with dtemps and has scouted out a rear expansion with his corsairs. I continue to pump mutas and watch for Bike's shuttle. I engage the lone missel turret at the expansion while J tries to repair. My diversion works perfectly as dropped templars make short work of the com sat station and J runs his SCVs away and lifts off the CC. Right into the hungry glaive wurms of my waiting muta pack.

Down With The Main:
Sensing J on the ropes I drop another expansion just outside his main where I am containing him. I hear his tanks un-sieging and start to roll down the ramp. I send in the hydras and quickly destroy the tanks in transit and push into his base. Bike assists and the main is quickly over run but not before a ghost escapes our grasp.

Hmmm... no eliminated message. Vegas still lives and Bike quickly locates him to the left of his main on an elevated cliff expansion. I send the mutas around back in an effort to contain him and run across another expansion. J is dropping CC's like candy at Hallowe'en. I engage and a lone SCV tries valiantly to build a turret to drive me away. The mutas show no fear and another expansion is down sized. I expand another time and glance over to see Bike working on carriers and getting his 2st expansion back up online. Just in time for the screaming vengeance of the Terran nuke. Ouch... that's gonna hurt come Christmas.

Kick Him When He's Down:
Bike starts to send the start of his carrier fleet north while I jump to guardians to crack the Terran stronghold. What's that? Another Vegas expansion! And I thought we contained him. Okay send mutas to assist Bike level the newly found expansion and then cover the rest of the spots with units. No more underestimating... Johnny is the last guy I want breaking out with nukes and BCs.

I spew out about 8 guardians at the moment Bike's carriers hit JV's last stand. Marines and turrets are no match for guardians, carriers and mutas. GG's are exchanged and Johnny laughs that at least he got that nuke away. Made him all warm inside I suspect.

Lessons Learned:
- Map control is key. With all my expansions and those two key fire bases to launch offenses from made a huge difference in the battle.
- Vegas doesn't quit until you put all the nails in his coffin.
- Medarines rock... thank god for lurkers and dark templar otherwise JV would be writing this report.
- Johnny is mortal... he can die. Especially if you out number him 2 to 1. 8^)
