Well anyways since b.net's down today and I couldn't get on I decided to check out the X-Force server. I logged on using my name lamer. In the X-Force 1 channel I found my ol' buddy =X-22=. We talked and I offered him a game, he agreed and I made a UMS game.
THE BATTLE BEGINS:
I chose Lost Temple since its my favorite map of ALL TIME. I went with terrans(of course:)) and X went random drawing terran also. His SCV scouted me really early, before my rax was up I chased it away with my SCV and found him shortly, he was right below me. I took a peek and saw that he was walling off with 2 rax, depots and a bunker. I deced to go fast tanx, I put up a refinery and made a factory when enough gas has come in.
THE FUN STARTS:
By the time my tank and siege mode were finished i already had about 8 marines and 2 medics. I went to his gimme and sieged my tank, I killed a turret below his ramp but his bunkers and depots were out of my my sight range. I comsatted a couple of times but didn't kill much since him SCV kept repairing the bunker. Then I remember the little cool trick, I made an ebay and used it to spot for tanx, I killed his depots, raxes and bunkers with rines. My bay almost died but the scv showed up in time to reapair it.
THE INVASION:
I unsiged all 6 tanx that I had and rolled them into his base. I encountered 3 marines which got fried. I wisely made a turret since cloacked wraths started attacking, but M&Ms and 2 turrets took care of that. I was raping his base and noticed that he already had a nuke silo, but I killed it about 3 seconds b4 the nuke was done, hehe.
THE SURPRISE:
He sent a cloaked ghost to my bae and killed 3 SCVs and 3 rines but a vulture took care of it.
THE DESPIRATION:
He flew his remaining buildings and CC away to the island and started an expansion at the southern start position, I comsatted and found it. My tanx and M&Ms walked in and eradicated everything in sight.
ANOTHER SURPRISE:
I was really kicking his butt now and thats when he dropped 8 stimmed rines into my peon lines, killing all but 2 of my SCVs. Lucky for me 2 tanx popped out just in time to dispatch them.
ThE FINISH:
I put up 2 startports at my base and started making wraths. Comsat revealed that he was expanding AGAIN to the western start position, damn that guy is annoying I thought to myself. I sent my wraths over there and intercepted a CC that he was flying to another island, 2 wraths smoked it in mid-air. To prevent any expansion attemps I sent an SCV to each starting location and a made a CC there. Back home i made a sci facil and was pumping BCs when the waiting for players screen appeared and he disced. I don't think it was intentional since we both lost our connections before, but anyways GG!
LESSONS LEARNED:
-Early tanx are a must vs terran. Whoever gets tanx first usually wins.
-Nuke rushing is NOT a good idea unless your opponent is teching hard or is a MAJOR turtle.
-Wrath really suck vs ground, 1 marine and a medic can take out a wrath EASILY.
-I got mad terran skilz and I own all of you losers!!:)
