Burger King: The Hiring

This is a Battlereport. This is a battlereport written by me. My name is Mr.Mediocre.

This a story of 4 men. Each with a goal, each with a passion. Burger King beckons as

the "Now Hiring" sign flaps in the wind of destiny. Who will get this dream job?

Only time and might will tell.

The game starts off in NH with an ambitious young man named Kami_Bum requesting a 2v2. The game was agreed to by four players and it was begun. I entered the game start screen last with very bad lag and I feared for my life. I covered my butt for I knew the boot could come at any time. However, the players and my fellow observer SSD4 were very kind and decided to let me stay. The other 3 players besides Kami_Bum were AQD3, ww.FoGDoG.com, and Unnilquadium(yes, indeed). We all took a moment to remember 2Pac and the game was off. I desperately wanted to read all of the briefing data and watch the pretty animations but they all pushed start, damnit.

Players: Kami_Bum[Terran] AQD3[Protoss] Unnilquadium[Zerg] ww.FoGDoG.com[Zerg]

Team Melee: Kami_Bum and AQD3 VS. Unnilquadium ww.FoGDoG.com

AQD3 starts off with a double gateway build while his partner, Kami_Bum, goes for a standard Terran wallin at the 12:00 ramp. Unnilquadium goes the conservative route starts with a pool on 8 followed by an extractor, while his ally, ww.FoGDoG.com puts a hatchery at his choke. No rushes, damn.

Now, the action begins and the real power struggle for job qualification begins. Unnilquadium throws up a hatchery at his natural while pumping lings and the occasional hydra. His partner secures his ramp with several sunkens and goes hard hydras. AQD3 seems to think that a quick gang bang of zealots will do the trick and goes zealots. Kami_Bum walls in and starts to produce medics and marines and firebats, oh my, from his two barracks. Both teams sit around building their forces up until AQD3 sees the door of Burger King open slightly. He signals to his partner and they make a mad dash for the door, but FoGDoG and his ally aren't going to let them go without a fight.

AQD3 and Kami_Bum manage to bust through Unnilquadium's expansion and into his main. FoGDoG.com surveys the situation and decides to attack AQD3 instead of helping his hopelessy dead partner. Unnilquadium fights to the last with a mad sunken death throw, but to no avail. AQD3 and Kami_Bum made it to the sidewalk but the manager shut the door before they could get there. FoGDoG.com now has bent all of his efforts on getting to the door the next time it opened, unfortunately, so did everyone else. Will Unnilquadium be avenged?

The Players Dream of making Whoppers with the Best Ingredients......

FoGDoG.com's attack on AQD3 goes well at first. He takes out most of his troop producing capabilities and a few probes. AQD3 has his partner, Kami_Bum, send a small troop of bats and medics to attack DoG's hydras while he brings his zealot army to bear from the 6:00 position. After a well, fought battle, the hydras fall and AQD3 begins construction of his lost buildings.

AQD3, shaken by the last attack, instructs Kami to aid him in containing FoGDoG. The two players move a sizeable force of zealots, bats, meds, and marines to the zerg's mineral only. FoGDoG has an expansion hatchery, but seeing his containment, decides to halt production of drones there and produce a lotta hydras. He sits a while and watches his hatch get harrassed by two firebats and sees something glimmer in the distance. It was the morning sun reflecting off of the Burger King door. It was opening. He jumped up from his seat on the sidewalk and rushed for the door. The hydras surged. Kami_Bum reached for his feet, but FoGDoG kicked him in the nose. The marines and bats fell. AQD3 steps forward and plants his feet, ready to meet the onslaught. Zealots slash, hydras...vomit. Then, as soon as it began, it was over. The last of FoG's hydras explodes.

AQD3 takes a long step over the limp body of FoGDoG and enters Burger King. Congratulations, you got it your way. :]

Thanks for reading my report. I wish it coulda been longer and perhaps a better game, but I wanted to do a BR today. Tell me what sucks and whats good and I'll do better next time.
