Pregame:
While ReDrum works on his boring History homework [RS]captainozy, [RS]XStarcraftX
, and [RS]nookie sit in the channel
waiting for another person to 2v2 with. ReDrum gets tired of ICQ's and constant bugging, so he decides to
get up and play. In the game ReDrum and SCX work out even teams and the battle between four
good clan members begins.
Game:
Ok this is trully one of the good 2v2 clan games that i have played. I am really disapointed that
the pics i took wern't saved cuz they really would have made the report great. The game was on
wasteland, me in the top left, ozy in top right (i was terran, he was toss) and nookie and scx on the bottom,
noook on left, scx on right. (both toss). I went with a basic 3 rax bat + marine + medic rush and ozy did a 3 gate
12 zlot rush. We went for nookie first and trampled him and his 12 zlots. (4 gates) so he
ran to hide behind starx who happend to have cannons throughout his base and multiple zlots.
During the attack i expanded to the top middle. When i returned to my base to begin building up
i realized that all my miners we gone and my rax behind the mins was on fire. Yes SCX put cannons
on the ledge above my base. I quickly pumped tanks from my newly finshed facs + ms and put waist to
the cannons. Almost at the same time ozy was getting worked by reavers so i sent some tanks and
mines and secured the area. The was no offence for a while until SCX *AND* nookie hit me with
armys of goons. With my scrap force and the help of ozy's reavers i was able to survive and launch
an attack on SCX's expand, killing it with out effort (thanks to ozy's dt's) Ozy then expanded to their
which was his mistake because he was spreading his forces to thin. As you can guess SCX took over the
land again with DT's and reavers. For a while I teched to goliaths, and built a solid force of tanks
and liaths, while we each attacked each others expansions, although no one did serious damage. Soon I
noticed I was low on cash so I went to expand. But the closest area was ocupied by nookie. After serveral
bunker/tank attacks i was able to get throught and expand their. At about this time ozy had full control
of the expansion area him and SCX were fighting for. SCX and nookie gave me a hard time with my new founded
expand but ozy saved me constantly with dt's, archons, and storm. We dropped onto the cliff in the
middle of the map and then started our own expansions on opposite sides. In about 5 minutes SCX
suirrended telling me that he had no minerals. I loaded up my troops (10 tanks and 30 goliaths) and
sent them in for the final attack. I killed SCX while ozy searched and destroyed nookies expansions.
After Game:
Although there was a winner after the game, everyone played at about the same excelent level. The only
way SCX didnt win is because it was mostly a 2v1 and ozy and I were using great macro. At the end I
was leading in buildings with 60 razings (next closest was 16) and resources by mining the most mins,
gas, and spending the most. SCX took home to units prize by having killing numbers in the 3 hundreds.
Like most games it was a resource battle and ozy and I held down our expansions tight, which will
secure the win in most games.
TIPS for SCX and nookie:
Zlots would have ruined my day because of the number of tanks that i had. Goons are easily overcome
by tanks and marines.
Tech to air. Scouts rule a terran who is using mixed forces because some of the key terran weapons
cant attack air.
Things learned:
Allways protect your expansions. If you are terran take advantage of their great defence.
Dont waiste buildings. Even if you have a factory your barrax can still serve a purpose.
Keep dominating. If you dont have enuf $$ to use all your buildings expand! Allways keep everything working;
no waisted anything!
