I have been trying my ass off to get ladder games lately. I'm reluctant to even play ladder this early because of the fact that someone in the 1400 skills level could have the same rating as I o_O. Finally I manage to find a game against some guy named NeThe)anD:). He talks like a korean but he later tells me he's from Netherland. Go figure. Here's a pic of the pregame chat, note the my name is edited out due to the fact I plan on smurfing people who might be reading this report with it =]. I want to apologize prematurely for my crappy images. My gay image program blurs them but I'm to cheap to buy another one. Sorry, I try =[.

Early Game
Knowing my opponent is toss I decide to go for a build that gives you a few early zeals to work with as well as early goons and reavers and obs if you need them. My build, which I blatantly stole from X'Ds~Grrr... goes about as follows:
- 8 Pylon
- 10 Gateway
- 13 Pylon
- 16 Assimilator
- 24 Cybercore
- 29 2nd Gate
- Robo ASAP
From my experience scouting early is very iportant in a PvP matchup. He can block his ramp pretty early and in that case you have to guess what tech he goes, and Toss has a lot of options. I sneak into his base and see a 1 gate start. My gate was done first, no big deal there. Rather than leave his base, I hide my probe way out to the right on his plateau to scout for tech at a later time. I also notice his scouting probe leaving at this time. This is why I scout with the probe that makes your first pylon, otherwise I might not get past that first zeal. I would guess that my spot would be the second place he looks, and I want to make sure my zeals are in good position so as not to let him get valuable scouting information. I almost always rally my troops to my ramp unless Im Terran and need them in the sanction of my peons.
My attemps to block the ramp were successful and the scouting probe dies on the ramp. He comes at my with 2 Zealots at this points, but I have three plus the high ground advantage and he wisely reatreates. So back in my base which my Zealots have been successfully defending I have yet to stop probe production and have started a robotics facility and began Dragoon production rather than Zealots. He is sitting outside my base with 4 Zeals and they charge my ramp. I have 4 Zeals on the hill so again he wisely reatreats. Well, I begin a shuttle and a robotics bay (AKA "Reaver Building"). This means tech, and tech brings us to...
Mid Game
With ye ole' scouting probe who has been camping out under the stars on NeThe)anD:)'s plateau out of his sight range I quickly run in for a quick peek. I see 2 gates and goon range coming. I have just started goon range at home, but I know he'll beat me to it. This is CRITICAL. A player with good micro will come in as soon as they get goon range and try to micro it out and beat you. At my current rating of 1050 on this account I dont expect to see that from a 1050 player. Unfortunatly its early laddering =[. He hits my ramp with forces of about equal number to mine, being 3-4 goons and 4 zeals. Once again, my hgiher ground advantage is holding him back. My Reaver finishes, and I load it along with a probe into a shuttle. As the reaver is leaving a whole bunch of goons hit my ramp. Panicing, I unload the Reaver and start blasting the stupid spiders and fighting them off with my own. Key Mistake #1 by me I reavealed my tech route. I could have held him off with just the goons and stomped him with a devastating drop on his main. Now he knows I have a reaver in a shuttle and a drop is imminent. Maybe he didn't notice? I'm dropping him anyway.
Along the way I unload that probe to the south east island and start making pylons there. I don't plan on taking the island now for some odd reason but taking it later. I drop his main,a nd he has a great anti reaver setup with 4 goons all spread out. My reaver's gay AI shoots a damn good with the first of its two shots. In a rare quick decision by me, I target a probe and kill about ten in one shot. Dead reaver. R.I.P. He died cost effectively. Back at home Im keeping up with goons production and have another reaver and an obs. He yet again tries to attack me but is foiled. Now with an obs I see him moving more out to the middle of the map so I quickly take my natural. I get a forge and put a few random cannons around to discourage drops, detect any DTs and cannon my island. I get a 3rd and 4th gate as well. Now with an obs I make Key mistake number 2. I see he has +1 attack and realize that his goons will rape mine in an attack. BUT I HAVE TECH YOU MORON IDIOT ME! I have like 3 Reavers and just a few less goons than he does. I should went out to the middle and taken out his map control. But no, I was really too worried about upgrades, so I slapped down another forge and got armor and attack. I maynarded some probes from my main to my now functioning natural. Also, I decide to cannon his cliff to discourage him from taking him natural. I get a 5th gateway. Now I see High Templars moving to his containment force and fall off my chair, giving me a concusion and brining us to the...
Late Game
Damnit. He has awaited these Templars and now thinks the time is right. Key Mistake #3 by me is as follows. I (as do many people) like to hotkey my unit groups to 1, 2, 3, 4, etc. Well I had 12 goons at '1' and I expected to have 12 at '2'. But I forgot to hotkey '2' and only attacked with half my goons! Ack! I pick off quite I few goons with my reavers and kill his temps, he only got off 1 good storm. But the fact that I had shitty positioning and had to go back and order a bunch of goons to attack later than I wanted to, he won out with about 4 goons to spare. He microed the attack extremely well but I did poorly, I had him outnumbered and he still managed to win the battle. I anxiously await the coming of 5 new dragoons from my gateways, but he comes in with reinforcements and the game is over. The rest of the game consist of me attacking him with my probes and a few zeals and him microing his goons so I don't even get a hit on him. He tells me his ladder high is 1400 =[. I tell him 'gg' with a sigh and we *attempt* to communicate a bit. He tells me he had 6:00, which I wanted to know since I prevented him from taking his natural. As I am leaving, he tells me I am "Good manner". Man! I wish I had a screenshot of that, but it was like right as I pressed "Surrender". Hehe, now I can tell koreans I am good manner^^. I leave you with a totally unrelated screenshot on a game I actually won against Mr. 4Pooler.

Analysis
Afetr reviewing the final scores, I found out I outmacroed him. But scores do not reflect micro or poor positioning in battle. I was stuck in a choke where only about 8 of my goons could fire while about 12 of his could fire, plus I was open for a storm. Please comment on PvP micro tactics I can use to improve my game, if you know any. However after this game I have had some redemption =]. My Terran account is 5-2 1080, my Zerg account is 4-0 1100, and my toss account is 7-4 1101 =D. Not bad for early laddering. Thanks to NeThe)and:) for kicking my ass, he's a good player and I have a lot of respect for him.
