Map: Lost Temple
I started out at the 3 o'clock position. My opponent was located at the 6 o'clock position and was found by my typical 8/pool zergling rush. My overlord took forever to scope the map. So when my zerglings found him, my overlord had made it to the 9 o'clock position and decided to park it for anti-expansion scouting.
At this time I went for Hydras. I sent a drone to my natural and began morphing for a second lair. It was a risk, but was willing to take it for the price of victory. I had quite a few hydras at this time and decided to take a look at his base.
Sent a mass of hydras to his base and still saw that he had not expanded. Sent the hydras in and found a bit more sunkens than my last visit. I let the hydras do their work and turned my attention back home for more hydras.
As I massed troops for the second wave, I noticed some blue dots coming down from the northern part of my home base. Doh! Mutas started hammering down on my gas and my peons. I scrambled up my hydras and started to attack these creatures of pain. They fell, but I lost alot of peons. I started the peon build again while I took a quick stab at his main with my hydras expecting a less defended base.
At his base I sent the hydras in, but I micro'd them around the sunkens to the other side where there were no sunkens. He attacked with his hydras and mutas and defeated my brave troops. (well, maybe not brave, just obedient)
At that time I decided to expand my anti-air defenses and built some spores around my peon line. I kept pumping out hydras and decided on a third lair for quicker unit production. I also set up a spire for mutas of my own, but decided on some scourge.
I started to mass my many hydras at my expansion opening and was met with a warm welcome of enemy hydras. The fight issued but he didn't even have half of what I had, but did have about eight mutas. They were no match for my 0/1/0 hydras and my scourge finish off the ones who made it to my base.
At this time I had about 20+ hydras and decided that it was time to swarm his base. He still had not expanded and the base fell pretty easily. He left without saying GG, but my feelings were not hurt. At least he didn't disconnect. Whew.
