Let the Hunting Begin...
Before Game
Tensions were high as as the two races, Protoss and Terran, began building their civilazations on oppisite sides of the massive River Styx. Peace talks between the two opponents failing, a formal Declaration of War was filed against the Protoss from the Terran Senate, and this was how it began. Let the war begin...
Early Game
"Bunkering"
The Terran city began as a massive Command Center landed and from it exited four ready scv's. Many a large mineral patches in front of them, the Terran peons began building their war machine. Four scv's followed these first four, the fourth began construction on a infantry Barracks. The next scv built a supply depot, allowing the Terran Army to grow. The tenth scv built a second Barracks, seeking to overpower the Protoss armies with sheer infantry numbers. The first marine was sent forth, scouting to see what the Protoss was up too, backed up with a spare scv. The two men walked unchallenged into the base, seeing that the Protoss was teching up to something. Taking an good oppurtunity, the scv began an offensive bunker out of sight of the Protoss metropolis. A supporting group of eight marines followed the path of the first one, reinforcing the bunker. A second bunker and a pair of missle turrets followed.
Taking satisfaction in having a choke offense against the Protoss, the Terran City began Vespene Gas production. A massive vehicle Factory and infantry Academy. A defensive bunker, tank, and missle turret followed soon after in case of DT or Reaver. Another pair of tanks followed by charging up to the offensive outpost. It was now that the Protoss army realized that it could not get out. A dozen zealots backed up by two reavers came out, along with an unseen form moving out. Then, all of a sudden, the four tanks stationed there blasted the crap out of the reavers. In two volleys of siege fire, the tanks murder the slow-moving reavers. The zealots and Dark Templar try to push on, but the two full bunkers and eight backed up marines filled their hair-less bodies with uranium-coated shells. Screams of anger and pain came forth from the attacking Protoss, their blue essenses leaving their bodies through their many wounds. Giving up the attack, the zealots retreated to their base but were cratered into the ground by Archlite Siege Guns. Offense on the Terran Outpost was futile with the ground troops the Protoss had, so he began construction on a starport and devilish Corsairs. That choice brought the game into a different phase, the Mid-Game...
The Mid-Game
"Failure"
Taking advantage of the defensive Protoss, the Terran Commanders expanded to the two nearest expansions, while building a massive army of starports. Four starports started churning out wraiths, dropships, Science Vessels, and even a few Massive Battle Cruisers and missle-toating Valkrye. The two barracks and factory began constuction of a massive army of tanks, marines, and medics readying for drops.
Soon after this build was begun, a duo of shuttles flew across the dark River Styz, en route towards the Terran City Amedaeus. Landing outside by the starports, the shuttles land three reavers and two zealots. The Protoss Field Commander didn't know that this was futile. Six Tanks saw this attempt and siege just as the shuttles landed. Siege shells fell from the sky, splitting the shield barrier around the troops in half along with the Protoss army. Scant seconds later, the dropped troops along with the shuttles were scraps. Now, Amedaeus was secure. This failed attempt brought on the last part of this trilogy, the Late-Game...
Late-Game
"Droppin' Down"
Getting the drop up, the Terran Commanders filled their six dropships with six tanks, eighteen marines, and six medics. These six transport aircraft were backed up by twenty fully upgraded Wraith Fighters, five Science Vessels, four Battle Cruisers, and four Valkryes. The massive airforce flew onward towards the Protoss Expansion in its north west corner of its territory. Landing on the seaside, the tanks sieged and blasted the warping Photon Cannons, opening up a path to the center of the Protoss Outpost Village. Mere seconds later, the shields fell from the building under the rifle fire along with the shelling from the massive tanks. One moment, the Protoss had a working expansion. The next moment they were without anything.
The next mode of attack was three pronged, very hard for this cowering Protoss hiding within his last Nexus. The tanks and marines from the offensive outpost pushed at the Protoss base from the front. Half of the dropped tanks, marines, and medics psuhed across the bridge and hit the Protoss from the copse of trees. The third prong was that of the remaining drop units, firing from on top of the protoss base. Science Vessels, their energies channeling into multiple ElectroMagnetic Pulses, negating the Protoss shields. The Wraith Fighters charged in from the ground troops, hitting the Protoss Air Force from the security of Cloaking. Massive Battle Cruisers joined the battle with their Yamato Cannons, taking down the Scout Fighters and Corsair Interceptors one by one. Unable to even mount a defense, the weakling Protoss Army accepted defeat, handing over all the land on either side of the River Styx to the victorious Terran. Celebration followed, but it did not last, for more Protoss came forth, waiting for their moment to return to the battlefield. Peace never lasts....
The End
My Suggestions
1) An offensive bunker is one of the best terran tactics if pulled off.
2) Terran Airforce and Drops rock, so use them.
3) Surrounding an opponent is the best way to attack.
4) Use Magic to its fullest.
Hope this helps,
Vladmir{KRT}
