triipy, yes?

This game is Byun's chance to rally. The series is best-of-three, and Byun has map choice for this game. He chooses lost temple as the map, and zerg as his race. Good Game Man also chooses the zerg swarm, and the game is on!

guess what? it's temple!! ~GOOD~GAME~MAN!! spawns as Red Zerg at 9:00.
[z-zone]byun spawns as Teal Zerg at 6:00.

Both players send their drones a-mining and send their overlord scouting. Both overlords meet over the crevice between 9 and 6, and both players greet each other cordially.
~GOOD~GAME~MAN!!: hi ^^;
[z-zone]byun: hi..^^

~GOOD~GAME~MAN!! builds an Extractor on 8, an Overlord on 9, places four drones on his extractor, and builds a spawning pool on about 11 or 12.
[z-zone]byun also builds an extractor on 8, an Overlord on 9, builds his spawning pool on 10, and then places 4 drones on gas.

It would appear that both players are teching to power mutalisks / scourge as hard and fast as they can. The first game was won on the ground: this one, it seems, will be won in the air.

The build orders continue, with both players morphing their Hatcheries to Lairs and then building another hatchery. Byun is ever so slightly ahead. His 2nd hatchery finishes when GGman's has 200 hp left to go. So far, the most action this game has seen is overlords farting their way along, It should be noted that the 2nd overlord each player build moves to their opponent's natural expansion to watch for any nude expansion attempts.

At this point, Byun deviates from his plan slightly. He morphs 8 zerglings and runs them towards GGman's base in an effort to catch him off-guard. Unfortunetly, the all-seeing overlords spot the zerglings, and GGman morphs some of his own 'lings to combat byun's

Both players begin morphing spires almost imidiately after their lair finishes. Due to byun's zergling excursion, his spire is only 100 hp ahead of GGman's. The gap in the mutie race is closing.

the game is ramping up....what a horrid punThe great zergling side-show is playing itself out at GGman's ramp. The four red zerglings line up atop the ramp, with their 8 teal enemies below. There is a moment of tension, then the teal beasts charge. Some devestating zergling micro is displayed here, as GGman & byun try to remove their enemies 'lings as fast as possible. In one clever move, GGman sacrafices a zergling down-ramp to stall the teal hordes while his remaining three zerglings make short work of two other teal 'lings that are caught between the 4 red ones. In another sweeet move, he runs a damaged 'ling around to the other side of his line, causing the few of Byun's lings targeting it to run in circles.

But, know what's even scarier that all this hella good micro on GGman's part? The fact that byun countered every move he made, and they both lost an equal four zerglings. Which leaves four ravaging teal beasts to attack GGman's base, right? Right...until six freshly hatched red zerglings kill byun's four before byun can even kill two drones.

With the two spires almost complete, the scouting overlord leave town faster than a slug leaving a cabbage leaf. That is to say, as fast as they can, but that's still really slow.

When the clock ticks down, there is a key six second time difference between Byun's spire poping out and GGman's poping out. His larvae turn into cocoons, possibly game-winning cocoons. Byun takes this time to move his zerglings out to his natural, and then build a hatchery there.

Byun's eggs hatch, releasing, of all things, 6 scourge. GGman follows suit, bringing out 4 scourge. What followed was one of the move bizzar things I have ever seen in a game of Starcraft: a scourge war. Both players maneauver to suicide their own scourge & remove two or more of the others. After a few inconsequential passes of this both ways, each player sets up a token spore colony to discourage such tomfoolery, as well as any mutalisk cheese.

Both sides begin building their air forces up. Byun is lacking on minerals due to his expansion, and has more scourge than GGman, although GGman has more muties...

Critical mass hits, and GGman moves out, with 8 mutalisks and some token scourge. Byun meets him in the air over his base with 5 muties and a LOT of scourge, and adefending spore colony.

on an unrelated note, curse bill gates. The scourge hit first while GGman is attacking the spore colony. GGman's muties are clumped up in the best mualisk tradition, which may make them valkyire and templar bait, but makes them DAMN hard to target with scourge. Byun's scourge hit, but not as hard as they could of. As his muties sweep in, it looks like byun could be in trouble. The tell-tale 'hwhaooongh'of the glave wurm is everywhere. Blood falls like rain on to the drones below. Overlords begin lumbering away from the burning pain the wurm inflicts on them. ~GOOD~GAME~MAN!!'s red cloud of mutalisks kill byun's muties to the last man and begin ravaging his main's mineral line. Byun mutates more reinforments as fast as he can, but by the time they are birthed, ONLY 3 DRONEs ARE LEFT IN BYUN'S MAIN.

And they're all on gas. owwwwwch

Byun's freshly hatched troops (four muties and a pair of scourge) wipe out GGman's last three muties. Both parties frantically rebuild their air-forces and prepare to clash again. GGman sends in a spanking-new squad of four mutalisks and four scourge. Only to be met by 6 mutalisks and 4 scourge out for serious blood. The rain of mutalisk blood begins again, but there is only a lone drone for it to nourish in [z-zone]byun's base. This rain ends much faster than the first, with the remaining red mutie winging away in fear.

GGman has been massing zerglings on the side. He takes this time to expand to his natural. What neither player realizes is how much of a knife-edge the game is on. GGman has in excess of 20 zerglings pawing the ground at his natural, with more on the way Byun has 1 mutalisk, and perhaps 15 drones in total over his two bases. As GGman's new hatchery slowly mutates, he acts on a hunch and move out over 30 zerglings toward's byun's base! Byun has had the same thought, it seems for he begins morphing zerglings just before GGman's move out. Will it be enough? Byun also has many a scourge, and a lone mutalisk.

The red tide of zerglings rolls over byun's natural like a great natural disaster. The lone mutie is casually raining death down on to the zerglings...but it takes a long time for one mutalisk to kill 30-some zerglings. Byun tries. He retreats his drones and zerglings to his ramp, and uses them as blockers and delayers for his 8 or so zerglings. the net result is byun manages to kill maybe 1.5 zerglings for everyone he loses. But (8 * 1.5) << 30. These few sandbags aren't going to hold back the flood. Unless Byun can pull something amaaazing out of his bag of tricks, he is dead.

And he can't, and he is. Unromantic, but true. No last minute rescues today. 20-odd zerglings being reinforced with more coming every moment spell doom for [z-zone]byun

As the sun goes down over lost temple, both players offer 'ggs' and byun surrenders.

Lessons / Commentary

#1.) Byun had a large number of scourge when GGman's 'lings hit him in the end...why? A lack of minerals, mayhap, or he thought the air war was still going. In any case, why was there no overlord popping? 2 scourge >> 1 overlord, which can seriously aggravate a zerg. Although, it is not even close to cost efficient.it can seriously set back production.

#2.) The 'flow' of a zerg vs. zerg game goes like this: zerglings -----> Mutalisks -----> Zerglings -------> Both. And heaven help those who miss a stage, or miss killing their opponents during a switch.

#3.) These people have scary good unit control.

#4.) Maad props again, to [b_blade]dasomi for helping translate.

#5.) Hone = the man

#6.) That's all i can think of. hope you liked it.
