This is my first Battle Report blah blah
blah... I was on the GX server and noticed a game on Temple. I joined it and found myself
in an observer slot on the PGL version of the map. The other two people there were Hone
and this other guy (sorry, I was CERTAIN that I would remember his name).

I asked if I could watch the game; they said
fine blah blah blah. The game started. They actually played 3 games together. The first
one ended quickly with Hone 4-pooling while the other guy Double Hatched before Pool, lol,
you have 3 guesses on who won.

The second game was almost the exact opposite
of the first. This time the other guy 4 pooled and Hone Double Hatched...the other guy
probably would have won too, if he hadn't accidentally hit 'D' instead of 'Z' and created
3 Drones instead of 6 'lings, lol. It was all over for him...he said he was really tired.

Now, the third game was the cool one. Here it
is:

Map: Lost Temple

Players: Hone - Terran (random) - 3:00

            Other Guy - Protoss
(chosen) - 12:00

Hone started by creating a Depot and a Rax;
Other Guy went Pylon and Forge. After some initial scouting, they found each other. Hone's
SCV returned to his HQ and continued mining. Instead of pulling his probe back and making
units, the Other Guy built a Pylon at the top of Hone's ramp!! After the Pylon warped in
he immediately made 2 Cannons. After that came a few more Cannons, Pylon, Cannons...you
get the picture. Upon discovering this, Hone skipped right over a second Rax and went
straight for a Factory. It was exciting to watch the two scramble to beat the other
player. Other Guy trying to get his Cannons in range to do damage, and Hone trying to get
to Tanks. Other Guy would have won, but Hone used his 3 Marines to surgically pick off a
few warping Cannons that were out of the protective range of their brethren. Finally,
Other Guy managed to get some Cannons close enough to fire on Hone's base.

However, Hone lifted his Barracks off and pulled it to safety;
by that time, he had a tank and began to blast Other Guy's Cannons to shreds. Soon, Hone
had 3 Tanks, firing away. Other Guy wasn't finished yet, though. He ran a few Zealots in
while his Cannons were being attacked.

Other Guy managed to kill Hone's attacking Tanks and then
proceeded to rip into Hone's base!

Hone fought the attack off...barely. He lost his Tank and
Bunker in the assault.

Now, this is where the cool part comes in; you see, Hone wasn't sitting idly by this whole
time. If you look on the mini-map in the above picture. You'll see a few white spots in
Orange's expansion spot. Hone had constructed a 2nd Factory in the back of his base; he
then floated it to Other Guy's natural expansion. This way he by-passed Other Guy's
remaining Cannons at Hone's choke. This Factory produced several Vultures, while he
researched Spider Mines at his 1st Factory.

After placing several mines at Other Guy's ramp, Hone charged his Vultures in and began a
Probe rampage!

Other Guy barely managed to fight this off with Zealots.
"I don't get it; how did he get past my cannon?" he asked. He then sent scouts
out to the other starting positions on the map in search of an expansion of sorts.
Meanwhile, Hone built a Starport and more Vultures, he also killed the last few Cannons at
his choke.

Hone then attacked with more Vultures and totally destroyed Other Guy's worker line. When
he backed it up with a Wraith, Other Guy conceded the game.

There's no moral or lesson in particular that
should be learned from this match; I just thought that it was cool. If Other Guy had
started his Cannon Push a little closer, he might have won.
