Opponent: Some asian dude who chose Protoss.
The purpose of this second battlereport is to show I do not suck! =) Heh. I begin the middle left, and my opponent the bottem left corner.
I like money! Do you? Do you like it obsessively that you'd go on Starcraft welfare called of which we call BGH? Yep, sitting on your ass (am I allowed to swear?) and making money; very unlike the hard working Starcraft players who expand for their money!
So to get money, I expand. No BGH for me! I go out to show I am hard working Starcraft player! I expand to the natural after the spawning pools pops out of its fleshy egg thingy. Now, since I need a good early defense. I built 5 sunkens; all nicely laid out, so you'd need 5 webs to web them all. Now, with an early defense, I take the risk of making a ton of drones for both expands, while maintaining lurker production. During that time I expand because I had money! Great! So I expand to the next set of minerals. I build 6 sets of drones fo spore colonies and sunkens. Now with 4 lurkers and hydras and minerals pouring in I send the force to attack the upper right corner of the map, of which my opponent had occupied. I I lose a nice portion of my force while trying to move up the ramp. I ended with only the hyrdras and lurker. Feeling a certain urge to annoy my opponent, I morph all my hyrdras of which were in critical shape to lurkers. Now a egg protects my wounded hyrdras. He makes haste to kill the eggs! Haha! The lurkers pop out and I move them to the peon line. The area is riddled with spines popin' in and out of the ground. The expand was nearly dead till he sent his force of 25+ zealots, about 6 DTs, and about 7 goons. I though I could pull the defense off if I let him kill the expand and get my remaining hydras to the 5 sunkens. Unfortunately for me, I had only 4 hydras. =) So I dark swarm the area to keep the sunkens alive a little. While I call upon my lurkers who recenly demolished his expansion.
While he pounds my expand, freshly morphed zerglings come and reinforce area. My lurkers arrive just in time to save my main. I burrow them and the protoss' sheilds start flickering like mad. The entire attack force was killed and I was left with the same lurkers (yeah, they all survived) and a few zerglings. Not to worry, while razing his base and he razing mine, I ended with 5000+m 2000+g. That's enough to expand and keep it protected with troops.
I have maxed out all upgrades for my ground units. That's good, probably why I still had the same lurkers. I take a single drone, and another. I expand to the natural again (to play it safe) and expand again to the upper left island. I get a nydus ready at my main to my island. My minerals were once again flowing. Now, I decided to utilize the awesome power of ultralisks.
This doomsday for him. I send in 7 ultras, 25+ zerglings and rape his natural and killed all other attempts at expanding while killing his natural.
He managed to kill my force with 4 reavers and 4 photons at the choke.
Now, since the choke was well protected, why not drop something behind instead? =)
I prepare a 5 OL drop filled with ultras and 1 with zerglings. Before dropping, the same reavers dropped were droped at my main. he didn't realize there was anything in the OLs until these things they call ultras poped out of no wheres. =)
well, gameover for him. I sent the ultras from behind, and sent in ALL my troops to fight the front. While sending a few zerglings to any attempts at expanding. He managed to get 2 carriers out, but I had 5 devourers sitting around, so I sent them to engage the carriers. The carriers lost, I win, no gg from him. Haha!
