My game vs the famous gad was an unbelievable experience for me. This was one of the few chances I had to play against someone with such skill.
We both randomed: I got zerg, he got terran.
I place at 12'clock, he at 9'clock
I did the cancel trick and did quick expansion. He sent a quick marine rush agains me with 8-10 maines, but I fended it off easily with 16 lings from 2 different sides. I then went for hydras and lurkers. My overlord scouted a bunker and a turret up front beyond the natural expansion. I attacked with about 18 lings, 12 hydras, and 3 lurkers. He did not have any tanks at all. I took out the bunker and the 12 marine 3 or so medics behind it rather quickly, losing most of my lings and some hydras. He then guarded the ramp with his marines, but I busted up it with hydras and one surviving lurker. He had 1 wraith killing my scout overlord and also a sci vessel. I was killing his buildings when 12 or so scvs and a sci vessel seemed to take out 6 hydras and 1 lurker somehow, while I was not watching. More of my forces showed up so the game was over.
I think the whole thing was some kind of fluke. I think I just got really lucky or he was playing mouse only or something. =)
