Just to give you some background information on this game...
Ohh, id say about 8+ months ago, I went to a friends house and he had this game called Starcraft. I didnt really like it a whole lot cause i didnt understand much about it. Anyways as the story goes, my friend bought the game, and I started to like it, so I bought it to. My friend tought me to play terran, but he tought me stupidly, so I played stupidly for about 6 of these 8 months. Finally I figured out that building 50-60 turrets and 4 bunkers wanst such a good idea. So here we are, and I've actually tought my friend how to play "the normal way." But anyways, this is just another matchup between us rivals.
(Sorry no pictures)
Map=BGH (wtf, why the hell did he pick that one???)
Me=Terran-lower right corner
Him=Zerg-upper left corner
In the beggining there were...Marines!
Well, my friend always thinks im gonna whoop his ass, so he makes me be terran, which happens to be my worst race(he knows this :( ) So I start out with my usual terran build which is on i think 9 i build a depot, then a rax on 10, and another rax on 11. Now I hae played many games with my friend and i know that he isnt a strong player. Thinking this, i feel like having some fun and decide to go 9 rax... I guess u can call this turbo-turbo-turbo-marine. So I scout him out with my first marine, and I find an early pool, 2 sunkens(his normal defensive self) a refinery and a hydra den,the sunkens hit my marine and he finds an early death:( Anyways, i continue to build scv's because i know that to have 9 rax running at all times, a VERY good economy will be needed. I start out with 4 early rax and start to pump marines, all the while I am building scv's and depots. I have a very good flow of marines online, and I have alot of money still, so i build another 2 rax, some more scv's and another depot. When i can, i build another 3 rax, and i really start to have a flow of marines coming out. I have now enough minerals to sustain building, but not so much as to need another few rax. Finnaly, my friend scouts me, only to be obliterated by about 100 marines.
hehehe
damn you gotta lot of marines
MID-GAME
Well the usual thought are probably going through my friends head. "Forget troops, i better go for total defense."
Knowing he may very well totally turtle on me, i started an attack. My 10 teams were ready for battle, as i marched up to the middle of the map, where i was met by another scouting ling. Damn, well I'll give it a shot anyways, and my marines march to the intersection of his path, and the top center's path. 1,'a' click, 2,'a' click,3,'a' click,4,'a' click, and so on as the mighty marines run up to the sunkens.
BLOODY BATTLE
My marines are met by about 16 sunkes, in a formation my friend likes to call "The hallway of death." he has sunkens on both sides of the path leaving a "hallway" top get through. Unfortunetely my marines are shredded to peices. I manage to kill many of his sunkens, and i almost take out an expansion he formed in the top center starting point. With little left i retreat my marines before they are all gone. This is the problem with BGH, he can build as many sunkens as he wants, because he wont run out of minerals. So again i start up with the marines and I start using my brain, and i build a few starports, 2 to be exact.
I also start an expansion right above my base. I'm not sure what he is doing right now, I havent seen any troops or scouters. By now i have 4 drop ships, and i load them with marines, as well as making scv's/marines from my expansion. The dropships make there voyage to the left center starting point where apperently, he had a burrowed unit, that saw my ships coming and they were met up by about 24 or so mutes. I quickly unload the marines, and kill the mutes, but not before losing at least half of them. I decide to go in for the drop now from the bottom. The marines are unloaded safely and start tearing away at his spire/hydra den. My marines AGAIN are met up by mutes, but this time a different outcome. Nothing like seeing your marines body parts flyin around all over the place. At this time I am just poducing marines at my main/exp, and i have about 50, so i send them to attack his expansion that survived the last attack. As luck would have it, as soon as my marines are about halfway there a good 18 mutes fly in to my main and start killing depots. Luckily for me i have about 12 or so marines at my main right now, and i send the rest of the rines back to help. The mutes are killed without further damage. Causulties: about 30+rines,18 mutes. Now i have maybe 24 rines, and he comes in with yet another mute attack. He wipes out my *sob sob* scv's at my main, and my exp. And at this time, I conceide the game with a "damn you."
LESSONS LEARNED:
1. Don' fool around even when the player sucks.
2. If you know you can beat the guy, THEN DO IT!
3. Mass sunkens wont work on any other map but BGH.
4. BGH SUCKS!!!!!!!
5. The uploader dosent workin good on my slow-ass CPU
thx for readin.
