Act 1- Chains
The man screamed as blood trickled down his spine.
“I...don’t know anything!” He yelled at his tormentor, a fiery demon of a man. The creature was made entirely of fire but yet had the shape of a human being. As the monster contied his abominal task, the Terran’s mind went back the events that brought him here, team tec, sent by the confederacy to infiltrate the new flamers base on Demitis, they learned that even the mighty Protoss couldn’t defeat these strange invaders for a single Protoss was
being held in a lower level, this Keldron knew for sure, for he had heard him also being tormented. His Boise’s would have to save the toss soldier as well. The monster touched the mans face, instantly burning the flesh off it bringing the man back to reality. The terran commander went limp with pain.
“Tell me where they took it,” The entity of fire demanded softly. The man stirred, attempting to Denny he knew anything, but then slumped back down to the metal floor of his prison, exhausted. The creatures body changed into a bright blazing red flame, possibly reflecting its temperament, thought Keldron. No matter what sins the monster committed against him he would never betray his boys.
The objective for tec was to learn all they could about the flamers, after the group entered the base they discovered a trio of Protoss warriors hiding in the shadows. These strange fighters were completely hidden by light allowing them to be the perfect killers. The
assassins helped Tec send a flamer to its maker and bypass security to look at the base’s layout. It was pretty simple and basic, they set up strange devices that let out a multicolored mist on the perimeter of the installation, the only thing that was incredibly odd was large power generator that lied deep within the planets core. The generator was apparently absorbing the heat in the planets core and storing it for some reason or another. The monster
bashed the terran across the face, ripping him out of his thoughts, the commander of the tec howled in pain at the blow.
“After you were sedated, I saw your men and some Protoss escape, Where did they go?” The demon was losing patience obviously as his body turned from blood red to
burning hot white, his voice had the fury of a nuclear warhead , the air around him seemed as tense as a star about to go nova.
The man still continued to not cooperate.
The monster growled as he burned a hole into the wall, leaving the room. Alone at last, the terran felt his charred face. The damage was bad but not fatal. He sighed a breath of relief, Confident that his kids would return to save him, the man, nearing his late forties,
relaxed against the steel wall of his cell.
Act 2- Shaky alliance
“Yes,” The young marine said to the highest ranking officer. Norman was a rather new recruit to team tec, only 19. He felt lucky to be accepted into one of the most skilled special teams that ever served the confederacy. He was a big man too, 6’7, well over 250 pounds and the one of the strongest marines in the corps. This mission went to hell ever since they entered the planets cursed atmosphere. Normans back stiffened as he thought about the course of events, first the evacuate shuttle was struck by a meteorite and had to go back for repairs, forcing tec to stay on Demitis for another 2 days. Thankfully they meet the Protoss assassins who were trying to rescue a fellow soldier from the hatred clutches of the invaders, who according to the Templar they saved, called themselves the ‘Solaris’. His best friend and newly appointed commander of tec, his superior, Mike disrupted his thoughts.
“They are returning,” Mike indicated by the way the sand blow into the warriors, outlining there figures in the wind. The three assassins entered the makeshift base the
Terrans hastily constructed on the desert surface of Demitis. They walked slowly to the new leader of the confederate team of tec.
“We come with a offer,” Said the one of the cloaked figures. the commander of tec looked in the general direction of the dark fighters.
“And that is?” the new commander demanded suspicly. They had no reason to dought the words of the killers, Norman knew.
“We will help you free your commander, if you evacuate us off this planet,” Another one of the ghost like beings announced. Tec all stared at Mike, who more then felt pressure, knowing he could not and should not make a decision of this magnitude with out counseling his friends, for many more may die for the glory of the confederacy if tec went back for there beloved commander, Keldron.
“Let me confer with my team,” Mike motioned a few others into a bunker at the north side of the base. Norman wasn’t surprised that he was indicated to come along too,
since he was Mikes most trusted friend. The door slid open allowing them entry into the rather dingy cave of a building. Mike walked in and stood by the corner allowing him to see there visters, or at least make a good guess at where they stood. The seat cracked softly as Norman planted himself near the door as the other two members of tec that had joined them did likewise. The friends in the bunker have known each other since the acadmey school.
Way back when, chuckled Mike to himself. He could remember all the havoc they raised back at the academy. They all signed up for the same class’s at the academy giving them
decent chances of having class’s with each other. The reason for the difference in rank was just because of there different specialties. Mike was the best tactician in the heat of battle, Norman the most skilled at man to man combat, Joe a perfect example to his men, he listened to orders and did them well, people jokingly said his was there role model and Andy was easily one of the best skilled at research and design the confederacy had seen in decades. With there combined abilities they’re able to help tec in some of its hardest missions and this certainly might be one.
“What do you think guys?” Mike wondered to his best friends. A worried looked creased his young face. Andy sighed a little louder then he intended as he shut his eyes from the bright molten ball of a sun which was seeping in through the four windows of the bunker, ment for gauss rifles not blinding those inside.
“I dunno G Man, trust them thou,” Said Norm in his own little way of speaking. Norman apparently stored a lot of faith in these Protoss.
“Beats me Mikey, but I know we all want the commander back.” Said Joe to the group. Mike know Joe’s advice was sound, and almost everyone in tec would agree with him.
“Joes, right, lets do it,” Andy agreed hastily, he was most likely already coming up with a scheme to free Keldron.
“This could be a big mistake, but I got a idea,” Thought Mike outloud. Mike recalled there sole nuclear silo witch they had used in there first attempt to harm the
intruders, the nuke did heavy damage to most structures within the Solairs encampment. But now they knew what a nuclear weapon was, chances are they would not make the same
idiotic mistake of letting it smash there base. With a Nuclear strike buying the assassins time to get to keldron, maybe they would make it out alive.
“I will tell the killers that we agree and Andy,” Andy looked up from the dusty bunker floor that had captured his attention, “Prepare all our available ghost onhand for a Nuclear Strike.”
“Sure man,” Andy said causally. Mike Marched out of the bunker the wind whipping into his face as the door panel flew open. Out of the bunker and not at all pleased
for what they were going to do for one mans life, The new commander headed for where the assassins were lying under the fury of the Demitis sun. Mike then realized that maybe his hungry for power was making this harder then it needed to be, but the thought was quickly
dismissed.
“He looks upset,” commented Norm as he gradually got up. Wiping his hands on his pant legs in a futile war he waged with the horrible winds of Demitis.
“Nothing we can do guys,” Joe comforted. Trying to raise the morale of his closes friends like always.
“Yes well I am going to see what I can do anywise,” Andy left the bunker hastily, jogging over to the ghosts quarters. Norm and Joe trekked over to where Mike was finalizing the plans with the Protoss killers.
Act 3- Did somebody call for an extremity?
Rob ran for his life accroess the barren landscape of demitis. His pursuer was a giant of creature made of living fire, it was as tall as a small building and just as wide. Robs goal was to complete a Nuclear Strike against these demonic solaris, to distract them from the silent protoss asainasins going to get Keldron. He needed to complete his mission! A long row of sand dunes lay in front of him as contiued his despreate flew fomr his firey predator.
Sneaking into the base was done with ease, recalled Rob, but when he steped into some strange blue mist it clong around his cloaking suit, reva;ling him to the enemy. Rob was ahead enough to take a few shots at the monster with he’s C-4 Canister rifle. The rounds stabed into the demons chest but it never even made a motion that they hurt it. He had to stay moving. The hills provider some cover thankfully, but the cursed wind would not allow him to cloak.
Almost at the top of one of the largest dunes on Demitis, he allowed himself to look back. His evil Purser had changed! It was now a metalic monstrislty instead a of firey one. The titan never missed a step in the blowing winds of Demitis as it chased after Rob. Since this pleasent transformation Rob thought he had the perfect weapon to combat it. Rob quickend his pace up the dune, trying to get far enough ahead of it for enough time to get
that ever so needed clear shot. Upon reaching the top, Rob busted open the chamber to his C-4 Canister Rifle and charged the round to lockdown his corupt predator. The creature was not even 4 yards away when Rob to aim. Cocking his gun Rob put pressure on the trigger.
The projectile luanched from the barrel impaling the metalic Titan in chest. A magnifent white aura emmited from its now frozen body.
Rob exterimnated it before headiong back to complete his Holy Mission |
