BATTLE COMMENCES:
I'm really glad that guy didn't boot me cuz his ladder was like 70 points higher then mine, a GOOD thing. I start out with the famous HM build, I scout with my 8th SCV and see that he's got 1 gate and a core warping in, that could mean a few things, goon rush, DT rush or reaver rush. I get my 1st vulture and use it to scout him out, I run into his base past his defending zealot and blast about 3 probes before a DT finished my vult off......that was a FAST DT.
IT'S OVER....ALMOST:
As soon as I see that he's got an EXTREMELY fast DT, I think it was the fastest I've seen yet. I frantically research mines and start building an ebay. I'm a little late and his DT hits me, I manage to dance my SCVs around until I get mines, I lose about 4 workers, taking 4 DTs with them. I mine my choke so no more bastards get through.
CRAP!!!!!:
Ok, this is where I though it was really done, he hit me with about a 10 goons and DTs, I lost my bunker and 3 tanx but lived.
PAYBACK:
Seeing that I'm still alive I rebuild my bunker/turret and lay more mines, I also que up a pack of 6 vultures and send them down to his base, I slip them past goons that he got at my gimme....undetected, WHEW. I run into his gimme, I kill his expanding probe and force him to cancel the nexus, then I hit the peon lines, I kill all but 2 of his peons dancing my vults around to avoid goon fire, things are getting a little better.
TAKE THAT YA BASTARD:
Even though I was quiet successful with my probe killing mission he's still in control containing me w/goons, I take my gimme clearing out 4 or so goons he got there, I see that he has also taken his gimme. A dropship with 2 tanx is quickly sent out, I wipe out his expansion peon line and kill his nexus along with a temp. I space my tanx out so storm can only hit 1 at a time and I microed them to hit temps which bought me some valuable expansion raping time.
I SAID NO!:
Now that I ruined his gimme, he tries to take the 12 spot but I got a vulture there which promptly fries the probe and he's forced to cancel his nexus once more. I spot another probe at the 9 spot, a vulture quickly races over from 12 to dispatch it as well.
NO YOU DON'T!:
Seeing how I ruined his exps he tries to hit my gimme, thats when he hits the wall of tanx/mines and vultures, I lose 2 tanx taking about a dozen goons, a few DTs and a temp with me.
KNOCKOUT PUNCH:
Now he's desperate for resources.....gas to be exact. He makes zealots instead of goons. By now I got 4 facts and 2 ports running. I start the push, a few skirmishes erupt in the middle, terran force is victorious and I move on to his gimme, tanx are sieged with SVs hovering overhead, I irradiate 3 temps and vultures kill about 4, when the smoke clears his exp is in ruins and my force is moving into his main. Now without a word he just leaves giving me the win.
LESSONS LEARNED:
-NEVER give up, I felt like giving up in early game when DTs were ravaging my base but I stuck with it and kicked some ass.
-Vultures are such asskickers, his peon line was gone in a matter of seconds, they also beat the crap outta temps.
-Coming from behind to win a TvP game feels great, I gave myself a pat on the back after this one.
