Introduction
This is a 2v2 I observed on the map lost temple. Asha’man~(X) and Headless_clown allied against I-ball and Epileptic~Peon. Headless_clown(labeled as gray) White, Zerg, spawned at12: 00 while his partner Asha’man~(X)(labeled as gold) Yellow, Terran, landed at 3:00. I-ball Brown, Protoss, warped in at 9:00 while his partner Epileptic~Peon Teal, Protoss, warped in at 6:00. This promises to be an interesting game as all races are represented.
Early Game
All players and both teams seem to know exactly what they’re going for. Headless_clown morphs drones until 9 followed by an overlord and a spawning pool. He then creates a hatchery at his choke followed shortly thereafter with one at his natural. Two sunken colonies are then morphed and he makes an extractor at his main. For the early portion of the game he produces drones, overlords, and zerglings while waiting for his lair to complete. Asha’man~(X) constructs a depot at his choke with his 8th SCV a barracks with his 11th and another depot with his 14th effectively completing his wallin. He then produces random infantry and constructs his refinery.
Brown and teal have almost the same build orders I-ball warps in a pylon on 8 a gateway on 11 and 13 and another pylon after producing 1 zealot. After producing about 5 zealots he warps in an assimilator immediately followed by a cybernetics core. Epileptic~Peon warps in a pylon on 8 gateways on 11 and 13 produces 1 zealot then makes another pylon. After producing about 7 zealots he constructs an assimilator immediately by a cybernetics core.
The Protoss team attempts a double on Asha’man~(X) but are deterred by the wallin. Rather than risk attacking Headless_clown they decide to bring the zealots to their prospective main’s. This is either because of the proximity of the Zerg/Terran team’s mains or the fear of being countered by Zerg while their mains were scarcely defended at best.
Mid Game
No attacks have occurred with a clear and decisive victory. The players produce units and choose their respective tech choices.
Headless_clown morphs his lair at the choke probably because he wanted it to have a higher amount of hit points giving him more reaction tie in an attack and make it less likely to die. This has some very apparent drawbacks as a successful attack would kill his lair and set him back immensly. Even a several unsuccessful attacks would eventually kill his lair. Seeing the possible error in his ways he morphs his main hatch into a lair as well making it look as if he is going for drops. Instead he morphs a spire next to his spawning pool and because of the gas coming from 2 geysers he is able to morph 9 mutalisks.
Once Asha’man~(X) has enough gas he builds a factory. When it finishes he constructs the machine shop add-on followed by a starport and a 2nd barracks. This build gives him many options he has the mobility of dropships the power of factory and barracks units and the stealth of wraiths.
I-ball makes random infantry followed up by warping in a robotics facility. This allows the mobility of shuttles the excellent recon provided by the observer and the raw power of the reaver.
Epileptic~peon warps in a third gateway and a citadel of adun followed immediately by a templar archives. I-ball and Epileptic~Peon decide to launch a rather massive attack at Headless_clown. Epileptic~Peon sends 10 zealots, 2 dragoons, and 2 dark templar. I-ball 7 zealots 1 dragoon and 1 dark templar. Epileptic~Peon sends his dark templar to contain Asha’man~(X) so that when he sent infantry for support it was decimated before it even reached Headless_clown. Unfortunately for Epileptic~Peon and I-ball their lack of dragoons cost them dearly as the 12 mutalisks are easily able to destroy the dragoons and then kill the zealots and dark templars. This attack does cost Headless_clown as he loses his lair. Peon declares his views on what should be done to the lair.

Headless_clown begins to use his mutalisks as harassing agents as they fly from base to base wreaking havoc on the probe line and defenseless buildings, utilizing their mobility to keep them alive and hurt the economy of his opponents. In response I-ball begins to mass dragoons while Epileptic~Peon warps in a stargate for corsair production he also expands to his natural.
Asha’man~(X) who has had very little role in this game other than helping his partner several times decides to take the initiative. He loads up 2 dropships, 1 with 2 siege tanks and the other with marines and an SCV. The SCV immediately begins construction of a bunker followed by a turret while the tanks siege up. He uses a dropship to spot for his tanks. Headless_clown supports with 8 mutalisks. At this point Headless_clown takes his min and Asha’man~(X)’s mineral natural.

Epileptic~Peon makes an attack on Headless_clown with about 12 dragoons while I-ball supports with 3 high templar. The templar cast storm wildly and the mutalisks are able to dodge it leaving about 6 zerglings and 12 damaged mutalisks to finish 8 dragoons. The mutalisks focus fire on one dragoon at a time and are able to take down all of the dragoons with four of their number remaining. Headless_clown morphs his lair into a hive and his spire into a greater spire.

During the battle Asha’man~(X) expands to the bottom right corner’s island as well as his natural. Epileptic~Peon takes the opportunity to expand to the top right island. At about the same time Headless_clown sends an overlord up there to start an expansion only to find it guarded with a zealot, 2 dragoons, 2 high templars, and 2 cannons. Headless_clown fills two overlords with zerglings and attacks with the zerglings, 3 devourerers, 3 guardians and a dozen mutalisks. After the High Templar’s energy is drained they merge into an archon and kill the last mutalisk with very few hit points remaining.

End Game
Headless_clown is amassing zerglings from 9 hatcheries with occasional mutalisks. He decides to “run over” I-ball. I-ball is coincidentally sending his attack force at white consisting of about 20 dragoons, 5 zealots and 3 high templar. The forces meet each other on the way causing one of the largest battles of the game. Storm was the deciding factor of the battle racking up almost 15 kills per templar. Headless_clown has not been idle however and amazingly he has another 60 zerglings. He sends them out at once not giving I-ball time to regroup. Asha’man~(X) has a huge force now consisting of infantry many science vessels and a few battle cruisors. He cuts off the help to Epileptic~Peon and his team realizes that they are doomed.

Headless_clown is then able to crush I-ball although not without losing several zerglings to psionic storm.

Epileptic~Peon realizes all is lost and calls it a Good Game.

Lessons Learned
1.) In 2v2’s your team should be the aggressor in other words act as opposed to reacting.
2.) Most players make units to counter the ones they have already seen. Try to think ahead of your opponent you can make him think you have lots of a unit by making them show up everywhere.
3.) Press your attacks! If you retreat doing little to no damage your opponent has an advantage in units and momentum. There are exceptions but you should usually try to follow through on an attack you have committed to.
I pray to God this all works the way it's supposed to.
