War of Colonies

"For years now the broods have been warring amongst each other. Leader of the pathetotians brood has been involved in a recent scandal with Infested Lewisnky and thus could not divert us his full attention. While Chief of the Indicaites was drunk at the time and therefore we [the editors] have decided not to print his interview. As the two colonies prepare for war, comments such as "path / path" were spewed. We assumed this was some secret code, later we found out that it was actually a shortened code name for the war. The battle field was chosen and the colonies prepared for war!"

"Editors Note: Sorry about the ant problem, the report was overrun in the process of making it, I have used Raid and all other known products! The only thing this report doesn't have is a Terran! That would clear out the problem, but we couldn't find any around here! We're getting right on it!"

With the two players both commanding zerg, this game would prove to interesting. The build order went as follows...

Finally a hint of aggresion!

And a close call!

Now, both of the players know where each other are. Orange sent some patrolling hydras to the bottom right of his main. This was nicely executed since he sent his hyrdas at different intervals, so that they would catch any incoming overlords. Purple, on the other hand, had his units clumped at the lower left of his main, leaving the wide open area of the north un-defended and un-observed for that matter.

At this point, neither player has expanded yet , so Orange took the initiative and expanded directly north to his "natural" expansion. Purple followed his lead a few minutes later, but he claimed the island in between the northern main bases.

"Confound it! He's copying off me!" Both leaders exclaimed in unison thousands of miles away. "I'll show that little rat, he dont know how to use my build order!!" exclaimed Indica. The two leaders of infamous colonies are now neck and neck, errr uhh mandible to mandible. It seems as though patheto just can't get enough of Infested Lewinsky an' old Indica can't drop the scotch. The two combatants keep to themselves, threatening each other only mentally. Patheto appears to be taking the longer route on things, and orders immediate evoltutionizing of a Queen's Nest. In a more recent interview he stated, "Cracklings!! I want cracklings!!" We aren't sure if he really meant "crack, I want crack" or not, but with his teching, he forgot to build more military units. Indica ordered another Hatch(on the rocks) and ordered his army "ants" to begin the "uploading", this Ant wants to storm the opposing colony........."

Now, Orange decided that it's time to end the game. He loaded up his 6 overlords with zerglings and hydras and beelined it for purples main. Blast! He was scouted along the way by some Peeping-Tom purple overlord! Yet, he carried on. Purple showed no sign of stopping him until orange ran right into the clumped hyrdras! Immediately he backed off and headed toward his main, or did he? He started heading home then abruptly headed north! He started heading to the open fields of purple's northern territory, and unloaded his deadly dose of droppage. With niether base containing any sunkens or spores, he started chewing on the meaty zerg base. He sent the zerglings to the peon line while the hydras started whomping on the buildings. Purple recognized the threat a bit late and merely sent his zerglings! The Hydras ate the zerglings, and with a full tummy exclaimed, "Hail Indica!" Finally patheto sent his hydras. With superior numbers compared to Indicas, I figured the battle was lost and went to take shots of expansions. I noted the mini-map and I still seen orange dots still in purples main! I quickly checked it out and saw purple's hydras falling by the second! With superior micromanagment Indica manully aimed his hydras to slaughter each one! He lost 3 hydras and 4 zerglings while patheto lost the game! Patheto later claims...


He says that he couldn't hotkey his hydras so they weren't able to tag along with the zerglings. We chuckled amognst ourselves and proclaimed GG's all around.
