Ok...let me just get this out of the way from the start. This was NOT a good game. Hell in fact, i don't even know what happened over half of the time the game was going on. Maybe I should start from the beginning...
Well I woke up at eleven o'clock this morning and went to a calculus midterm review session at one. It ended at three or so and i felt the need to relax, so I busted out my BW cd and popped it into the computer.
I tried to get some games in nohunters, but no one responded to my requests for a game, so i joined the first public non-BGH game that I could find. Surprise surprise, it turned out to be 2vs2 on Lost Temple.
My partner and I were both protoss, our opponents terran and protoss. I rushed terran with five zealots, putting him out of the game. Then my partner got dragoons and temps and took out the protoss, while I backed him up with gay-web and some dragoons of my own.
Feeling the need to unwind even still, but too tired to want to play an even semi-challenging/exhausting match, i joined a 7vs1 comp stomp. =(
Well, the game got under way with only five of us humans vs three computers on Station Unrest. (hey at least it wasn't BGH!)
I got purple zerg, and the races of the other players don't really matter in this battlereport.
I started off with a 10/9 extractor, then hatch at the nearest expansion source, and then just winged it from there. My second hatch was just completed when I got attacked by 4 marines at the expansion hatch. I quickly ordered 8 zerglings and took them down, then built six or so sunkens at both of my bases. (hey, it wasn't like i was taking this game seriously)
At this time i got a phone call from my parents. They called to tell me that they were in the car driving to visit me, and that they were about ten mintues away. I said "ok" and got back to the game.
Soon I had both expansions going full swing, and built a hydra den and two evo chambers. I started upgrading from all three buildings, and built six hydras when i got attacked by eight of those smelly terran marines and four of them sexy medics again.
Six dead hydras + one destroyed sunken = All them redneck terrans
Well I quickly rebuilt my hydra force to about twelve, when I got another phone call from my parents telling me that they were outside in the parkinglot waiting for me to go out to dinner.
"Time to go" I thought and told the other guys that I had to leave, and was about to surrender, when a thought came to me. "Might as well just leave the computer on and see what happens. Who knows? Maybe I'll actually get the win without me even having to be here."
So I told my allies "nm, i'm staying," to which they replied "good," then I promptly got my keys and left the room.
One haircut + Lotsa korean food = three dead computers + two dead humans?
After an hour and a half of eating dinner and catching up with my parents, I finally got back to my room and 'lo and behold, what is it that I see? It's the CONGRADULATIONS! YOU'RE VICTORIOUS! message! I checked the stats, and not only did I win, I actually got third place! (the computers getting the next three spots right below me, and the two humans who got eliminated at the bottom two spots) I don't know just what these screwy guys have been doing in my absence, but apparently, the game had gone on for 40+ minutes!
Well anyway, here are the Lessons Learned:
1. Comp stomps are lame.
2. Sunkens are kickass.
3. Chinese food makes you hungry again after an hour, while Korean food makes your breath smell.
4. My computer doesn't need me to win games at starcraft.
P.S. I tried to take a picture of the stats...i pressed "print screen." That's how you do it right? But I don't know how to include it here in the battlereport. If anyone wants to see the stats, please tell me how I can add pictures, thanx. |
