Map: Dark Temple

Players:

UpgradedKakaru (random Protoss, 3 spot, yellow)
Mogalin (Terran, 6 spot, blue)
~TexMex~ (random Terran, 12 spot, orange)
Necrosausage! (Protoss, 9 spot, teal)

Observer for the first few minutes:
Defilias (was forced to leave b/c he lagged horribly)

The Game:

After scouting and seeing that our opponents were Toss and Terran, I decided I would either go early DTs, megagoons or megazelogoons. I decided to go for megagoons, since I wanted to mainly macro that game and try to overwhelm them with pure goons.

However, things went quite wrong from the start...

Tex and I tried a double on Mog, and managed to get throught his choke, but the only survivors (1 Zlot/1 Goon) were finished by a DT! DAMN! I quickly started morphing a forge, realizing that Kakaru could win this game with a strategy that I was considering to use too, but found too risky then...

I was lucky tho, I managed to warp in my first cannon at my choke before any of
Kakarus DTs could enter. I also started an xpansion at my natural.

Tex, on the other hand, was not so lucky - he got doubled by Mog and Kak, and after his Turrets were destroyed by Marines, 3 DTs sneaked in his base and caused Havoc. I tried to help him with goons but hell, goons need just too long to kill DTs, and his last ComSat didnt buy me enough time (or rather: dumb me didnt have enough goons around when he comsatted), so he was forced to lift off - he floated his CC to the top left island, and floated his tech buildings to my plateau, leaving me alone in a 1v2 while rebuilding

By now, I had
4 Gates pumping Goons, and one RobFac pumping Observers, and I decided I would test how much defense Kak sacrificed to his early DT rush.

Not enough, how I found out a few moments later - my
control group of goons was beaten by a choke defense of cannons and Templars with nasty storms.

I decided I would annoy them a bit now tho, so I took my first Shuttle, loaded
2 Probes in it and started turbo-newbie-cannon-cheese-drops behind both their naturals - they BOTH had to abandon their naturals, since Mog did go all out Infantery in this game, and had no tanks at all, and Kak had not nuff Goons against my 4 Cannons =)

So now this was looking good again!
Tex was still rebuilding (we decided it would be best if he tries to mass Wraiths from here on), and it was still a 1v2, but now I had as much economic power as both of them together, since my new xpansion at my gimmie just went on-line. To be able to use all this money, I put up another 2 Gates, bringing the total to 6, while also building a StarGate and Fleet Beacon for DWeb.

I decided to attack
Kak yet again, this time with 2 control groups of Goons, but I was beat back by Rines, Medics, DTs, Goons and STORM STORM STORM DAMN IT!

"Ok calm down, just contain them to their 1 xpansion" I thought, and since I still had the superior ground forces with my
megagoons, and had map vision with Observers, I should be able to remove any new xpansions...

Ok, here is the first one to remove:
Terran tries to xpand at his gimmie. Move Goons in, smash it - he is lifting off. WOW. That was easy! I am winning the game!

Ok, here is the second one to remove:
Protoss already has a Nexus at his gimmie. Move Goons in, pound on the Nexus, and lose all Goons to Carriers. Now, that was easy.. HEY! WAIT!!! WUSSUP!!! DAMN U KAK this is so low... Carriers are gay dont u know?

I sigh and rebuild my Goon force, and start
Scouts from my now 2 StarGates (btw: Scouts should really build faster IMHO), after having a nice number of Goons again, I attack Mog's natural with the aid of Tex' wraiths...

Yeah, thats right,
Tex is back in the game and he is kicking some serious ass with his Wraiths, since Kak has no Sair support for his Carriers.

Meanwhile I found out that
Kak not only had his gimmie, but also the 12 natural, he is also mining his natural again since he took down the cannons on the cliff with Carriers :(

Lets remove his gimmie now, but this time for real!

I moved in my
Goons again, his Carriers come again, and his Carriers die horribly to Tex' Wraiths...

After killing his gimmie, I
dwebbed the cannons at the 12 natural and attacked there together with Tex' Wraiths. But before we can finish this xpansion too, Mog comes to help Kak with shitloads of Medirines and my Goons die their second death...

Since
Mog is building so much Medirines, I decide to mix some Zelos in from now on - Im now producing Zelogoons in a 2:3 ratio.

One of my
Observers discovers a Terran island xpansion bottom right- I dweb the defenses there and tell Tex to kill it with Wraiths, but his Wraith squad has been seriously reduced by the last fight and thus the operation is futile, I shouldve dropped some zelogoons there, oh well dumb me...

The next thing that happens is that
I charge into the 12 natural again, and finally remove it. Carriers and Storm are annoying me and Tex again, but Kaks Carriers have to retreat for a second or two after Tex comsatted and killed the Observer, so my Zlots could meanwhile smash anything at the 12 natural.

Once again tho,
Medirines come in to aid, and storm is cutting my Goons down while my attention is elsewhere - namely at Mogs gimmie, where he tries to xpand yet again, but a small Zelogoon squad is quickly dispatched and forces him to lift off yet again.

Observers reveal that
Mog is also working on getting the 12 gimmie, I send 2 Zlots there, but I dunno what happened to them because the game speed was really fast now and so much things were happening at once...

With the game running on full steam all the time, I didnt realize that I should really grab an xpansion of my own ASAP now - my minerals where down to 600, and my only income was a last... no wait that one just got mined out too - DAMN.

Being the great tactician I am, I decide not to keep my remaining forces together and use them to defend my
xpansion attempt at the 12 main, but to split them and use one group to try to hurt Kak.

Well, to sum it up, the
attacking group failed miserably, and only seconds later my xpansion attempt gets attacked by those flying yellow hotdogs again, accompanied by a shitload of Medirines

Oh well gg. It was closer than it seemed - in midgame it was really looking like Tex and I could win, and I think we couldve won if:

1) I got Templars and started PsiDrops
2) I got Reavers
3) Tex got EMP or tried to kill Templars with Wraiths
4) I used Templars and less Goons - Goons are cool but they suck up sooo much gas...
5) We killed Mog - we werent consequently enough, instead of killing Mog, we attacked him and let him recover while attacking Kak

Lessons learned:

1) The funny thing about this game was that Kak was beating me with MY strategies!!! DTS!!! Carriers!!! Kak you are so gay u cant even think of ur own strats ;-)

2) I realized how gay I really am - facing Carriers, DT and storm is really, really annoying, and this is what I normally do... :)

3) Once ur opponent has a certain number of Carriers and upgrades, he has air superiority for the rest of the game - as Protoss, you have to stick to your choice, and this was continue to build megagoons in this game

4) You better always keep an eye on your minerals - I was shocked when I saw that all my sources were dry, and my xpansion attempt came way too late

5) This shouldve been a brag report, I started to take pix when I realized I could win a quasi-1v2, too bad that it didnt happen ;-)

6) Turbo-newbie drops rule! This couldve won us the game since it hurt their economics tremendously - Kak couldnt mine till he got Carriers, and Mog did never mine his natural again at all

sorry about the pretty ugly pix, but as usual I just tried to not let them grow too big...
