I started out by choosing random, he chose terran. I warped in, protoss, at the bottom right, he was in the upper left.
I did a quick build towards an early reaver drop by using onlu 2 gateways and an assimlator directly thereafter. When I came back to his base with another scouting probe I found 5 barracks, and half his base filled with supply depots, and a second command center under constrution, I quickly put up 2 shield batteries and another gateway, deciding that he was obviously doing a marine/medic rush.
When he arrived I was suprised that he hadn't sent the bulk of his forces directly at me, instead, he took the natural exspansion out side my base, and fortified it with 4 bunkers and 2 siege tanks. I quickly decided to get d-web to get my army of 24 zealots in to take it down.
By this time, he had already taken 4 other exspansions, while I had none, which I needed very despretly, so I took the two exspansions raised above the ground and killed off the one outside my base with d-web and zealots.
I knew I needed more minerals so I expanded AGAIN, and built my 6th gateway, and my 4th starport. I had completely bypassed building a robotics support bay for reavers.
At this point, he started attacking my main every 2 minutes or so with tanks and marines, fortunately, I was able to shoot them down with 6 dark templar, coming 1 at a time.
For some reason or another, he accidently gave me shared vision. I could see he had 12 starports but he only had 1 mineral mine left, and he had several abandoned exspansions. I quickly took over every single other exspansion, and started building MASS dragoons. When I had gotten about 36 I attacked his main with them, backed up by about 3 high templar, and 2 carriers. He was able to stop it with 3 bunkers full of marines, locking down half of my dragoons, and my carriers, and 12 battlecrusiers, void of upgrades. Since his main was so heavely defended, I decided to attack his exspansions, which we're much less defended. I easliy took all but one down, which had no more minerals. Unfortunately he was disconnected for some unknown reason, and we didn't get to finish. I looked at both bases and found all he had left we're the 12 battle cruisers.
When he re-connected he apologized to me and offered to play again some time. I seriously doubt he did it on purpose, even though he was losing terribly at that point, because his record was 30-13-4 he seeamed like a pretty nice guy, hopefully I'll get to play him again tonite.
Lessons learned:
-Never, NEVER forget to upgrade your ground (like i did)
-Dragoons own battlecruisers.
-When you expand defend them, the SCV's alone won't do a thing for you.
-Corsairs can't attack vultures, or vice versa.
-Lockdown rulez
