hrmm, its interesting, this new option, where you set the races instead of just going out and saying them. interseting. anyhoo, back to the battle.
my toss spawned on the lower left hand side of rivalry, while my opponent spawned with zerg over at the top right.
ahhh, usually my best race match up so i figure, wtf, i might as well go and expand early and send 1-0 speed upped zealots up his arse.
i do the normal 2 gate opening, (sigh, recon told me that he was zerg a bit too late for me to 1 gate early gas). anyhoo, early scouting shows 2 hatches and no gas, so hey, nothing too out of the ordinary there.
i take my fearsome army of 5 zealots and go out and take my natural. it warps in and transfer the bulk of my probes there. the logic being that the expansion is lightly defended, so those extra probes would help me fight off any incoming lings.
sigh, some things just sound so good in theory.
in comes a buttload of lings (well, actually no, more like a handful) that somehow overwhelm my paltry defenses. And the great probes that i had transfered to help with base defense? completely forgot to use them. my forward scouts completely missed the incoming lings, and they were on top of my zealots before i could really react.
end result- a lot of badly damaged zealots running their asses back to base, 1 dead nexus, and a helluva lot of probes left with their pants down besides their ankles.
sigh.
i'd write more, but thats really the bulk of what happened. no use IMHO writing about the crap that followed since it was mainly my opponent going through the routines of hunting down and exterminating a weakened opponent.
and, i'm really farking thirsty right now. i had a bottle of sprite stored in my fridge, but one of my farking roommates drinked it.
anyhoo, this is just a crappy report to fully up YRM's.
Please bash it as much as you want, and please insult and flame me to your hearts content.
