Players: Me- Random-Terran VS. (random)- Zerg
Well I know my reports always have me winning, but who wants to brag about losing? ;-) I start out at 9 and soon see an OL coming from below, he is at 6. As soon as i saw the ol I fear some lings, so I rallied my marines to my min line...nothing comes. I checked his base and found he had expanded to his natural and was well sunkened. I then concentrated on SVs, and went straight for them. I also began making a couple tanks and eventually I get my academy and comsat. I scan his main and find a lair and a den morphing. Figuring this guy was going lurkers, I concentrated mainly on countering that.. irradiate+tanks. Well I get 18-24 medirines and 2 SV's when the first 5-6 guards show up. OOPS!!!!!!! I don't know how he did this so quick, but I was caught COMPLETELY off-guard. All I had was 1 charged SV and my rines. I tried to start some wraiths, but he concentrated on hitting my starport, I was forced to lift it off. Lifting it turned out to be extremly beneficial. The guards were drawn into bunker fire and a turret. I was also able to get off two irrads before meeting up with some devos. The remaining guards were dealt with my my med+marine force. At this point I got another starport and started to pump wraiths. I also was able to counter and eliminate his expansion. Both our attempts at expanding were thwarted, although he was able to expand back to his natural. I eventually had to lift my CC and move it to my natural because I had run short of mins and he kept killing my expands.
He tried one more attempt at me, but by then I had GLOBS of medi-rines, 5-6 SVs, valks, and wraiths. he called "gg". I believe there was just no way he was going to expand past his natural and he had lost quite a bit of money in his attempts.
We then talked for about 5 minutes and he told me that my rating was way too low for my skill. ;-) That was cool, I don't play much ladder, so my rating is like 1080. He said he is 100 points higher and that i should be at least there. He then asked what he did wrong. LOL... I couldn't say he did much wrong. Only thing I told him was to spread the guard more. The little thing that won the game for me..... my marines were able to get into range of the guards and kill them.
Whew... terran is truly pretty powerful against zerg... as the game grows on. |
