The Game

I did my normal Gate-Assimilator-Cyber-RobFac-Citadel-RobBay-Archives
(BTW: what is better in your opinion - Gate-Assimilator or Assimilator-Gate?). My goal was to get an early HT/DT/Reaver drop

I xpanded with my first shuttle at the island below my main, I also scoutet with this shuttle and found him bottom right, as he had 2 bunkers and a few Turrets around his peon line, I decided to forget the HT/DT/Reaver drop and instead dropped a Reaver and a HT at my xpansion for defense

Being the great player I am, I also built a 2nd Nexus at the xpansion, because otherwise I wouldnt have been able to mine any ressources there. A Forge at home, along with a StarGate and a Fleet Beacon were also set up.

My strategy was: hold my xpansion and dont let him get an xpansion, so I fortified mine with a few cannons and a Gateway, which produced a few Goons

One of my Observers found his xpansion at the bottom middle - tons of turrets, so I knew he has also made an early xpansion

Necrosausage!s brain: "You cant let this be a fair matchup! you have to have more ressources than him cuz you suck!"
Necrosausage!: "shuddup. Whos to blame that I suck, heh?"

Anyways, my brain was right, I really had to get ahead in ressources again, so I xpanded to the top small island, and also shipped a Reaver and a Goon there as defense. At home, I researched DWeb and built another gate

However, I didnt even have the time to complete warping in cannons there, as he made the first offensive step in this game by dropping me with 3 Dropships filled with 2 or 3 tanks and other Terran stuff I couldnt identify (I dont know Terran too well u know...)

My Reaver+Dragoon there were helpless, however I shuttled 2 Reavers, 1 DT, 1 Temp and a Reaver there from my homebase, which dealt with the enemies - I was forced to cancel the Nexus however (or rather: I was dumb enough to do so when it was 95% done, because I feared he could kill it before my reinforcements arrived)

I rebuilt this xpansion, and just as I finished managing my xpansion and starting to actually think about offensive strategies, my main got brutally dropped by 3 dropships with assorted Terran troops

My Sairs tried to interfere, but those wimpy flyers didnt even kill a single dropship. As a return for their uselessness, I let two of them die in Marine fire, mwuahahaha :-/

He sieged his Tanks behind my Nexus, and only after my Nexus was already destroyed, I could finally wipe the Terran forces off my land by killing his Marines with a brand-new Carrier, and then laughing at his helpless stupid little tanks as they couldnt shoot at the Interceptors that where killing them. In the meantime I also sent a brutal, invincible, massive attack force of 3 Goons, 2 Reavers, 1 DT and a Carrier to his newly started xpansion on the left of the middle islands and wiped it out

Necrosausage!s brain: "Good boy, its looking really good, I would suggest that you now kill his..."

Whooom! I couldnt even waste a single thought about being more offensive, because the hammer stroke again on my main - this time the 3 dropships full of Terran stuff razed almost all of my mains buildings, before I could finally defeat them with storm and another brand-new Carrier.


the last remainers of the 2nd Terran strike against my main are pulverized by a sexy Carrier (his name is Fred)

However, my urge to do something offensive was so big that I didnt even look at the battle at home, but took the force that did just defeat his new xpansion (2 Reavers, 3 Goons and a DT - still the lone DT I built at the start for some twisted reason) and tried to hurt him as well. My Carrier went south to his xpansion at the bottom middle island, and the Interceptors drew so much turret fire, that my Shuttles werent even scratched till they could unload (My Sairs were already annilihated at this point so I had to use the Carrier). However, the Carrier Commander also thought he would be cool if he flew into turret range, and my sucky micro didnt get him away from there before he was in the red. In the meantime, my brutal, massive, invincible attack force... was devastated by a few Marines and a helping squad of Wraiths - the Wraiths also ate my Shuttles because I thought it would be cool not to move them away after they unloaded (played too much Zerg - thought I would need detection...). The only damage I did was destroying about 3 Turrets on his island, lets look if it was worth it:

A few seconds later, I was still wondering how my invincible attack force didnt even damage anything but a few Turrets, he finally totally wiped out my main (there were only a few random buildings left, and it was also almost mined-out, so no biggie :- :-/...)

Necrosausage!: "Ok. Thats gotta hurt. But I still have 2 running bases, while he has a single xpansion. Ill just build a ton of Reavers and Goons, and Carriers, and..."
Necrosausage!s brain: "Boy, you only have a Gateway left, all your production buildings are gone"
Necrosausage! "DOH!"

Indeed, my only remaining production building was a Gateway on my 1st xpansion, so I took my time to rebuild (stuffing the small islands so full of buildings that my units couldnt even move)

When he was razing my main, the following conversation took place:
Necrosausage!: "Wow. Close game."
teahead: "huh?"

Well... he didnt think he could lose now, but I knew I could win, mwuahahahahah... *cough cough* err... hahaha

And you know why I still knew I could win, because he still had only 1 xpansion! HAHA. What a lamer, mwuahahaha...
Necrosausage!s brain: "Err boy, I really dont like to tell you that, but your Observer just found a refinery at the right small island, looks like he already xpanded there...
Necrosausage!: "DAMN!"

Whom! Whom! Tanks can fire from island to island... how gay... Blizzard outta fix that in the next patch, like give em the range of Zerglings and stuff...

Well, those cheesy Tanks killed the Assimilator at my 1st xpansion, and pounded on the StarGate on my 2nd one. Being the great player I am, I shuttled a lone Reaver to one of his tanks, killed it, and retreated.
Necrosausage!: "Wow, Im such a great tactician I cant believe it, do you remember when I once even..."
Necrosausage!s brain: "Wake up boy, hes killing your 1st xpansion"

DAMN! Whats going on at my 1st xpansion??? Seems like while I was busy microing the Reaver and thinking how damned cool I was, he dropped 3 dropships of Infantery there...

Well, I had a Templar there, and 3 storms later 2 Rines and a Medic remained. Well, now that there were only 2 Rines left, my other forces... errr... no other forces, well at least 2 Rines take hell of a time to finish an xpansion, even with the help of Wraiths, so while he was killing my 1st xpansion, I Reaver-Dropped his 2nd one, killing a bunch of SCVs there.


He is slowly killing my 1st xpansion - While I am Reaver-Dropping his 2nd xpansion until a squad of Wraiths ends the fun - the same squad of Wraiths later helps the two rines and their bitch to raze my xpansion

While he was slowly killing my xpansion, I dropped his 2nd xpansion again with a Reaver - still no defenses there. This time I got all the SCVs before my Reaver was killed by Wraiths again (he even tried to attack the Reaver with SCVs, which was a bad move - kids, dont try this at home...

However, he now started to push into my last island with Tanks shooting from the island in the east. I flew my last 2 Carriers and 2 Sairs there, but I knew I couldnt hold this island, so I sneaked out a single Probe at the Top Right starting spot and started to build a new cool base there - I had around 2000 minerals so I could build lots of cool stuff there and he didnt know that I was there, mwuahahahaha

While the Probe set up Cannons, 3 Gateways, 1 RobFac, and other Protoss stuff at my new, fashionable island, teahead was slowly killing my last xpansion with some mixed Terran units (Im pretty sure no Zerg units were involved), I also evacuated my last Carrier and 2 Reavers to my new home (my last military units at this time)


What is happening at this pic:
First two pix: teahead is killing my cannon defense on one side of the island with long-range tanks, and then drops a shitload of troops there
The two smaller pix: One of teaheads tanks was standing on my new main island, so I sent a single Zealot that just got out of my Gateways there to kill it - maybe this stupid act of revenge was the reason he scanned the island to see where this Zealot came from :- :-/

I just wanted to say "just kill my last buildings", but he already scanned my island - how cheap...

ComSat! How gay... really good players such as me dont ever use ComSat - did I use ComSat in this game - NO! I also didnt built any gay Wraiths, I only used units that require real skill, like Dragoons or Corsairs - he didnt build a single Goon the whole game!
Necrosausage!s brain: "Err... I dont like to say that but he was Terran, Terran cant build any Protoss units..."
Necrosausage: "STFU!"

Well, no problem for me tho. I still had my inpenetrable last island, and he only had his main, and two running xpansions. Actually, it couldnt be better.

Well, for some bloody reason he dared to drop my base from two sides with 4 dropships with Wraith support and wiped my sorry ass outta dire straits

the scores - I can keep up with him at units, and Im slightly better at ressources, however the building score shows who used his units and ressources better...

Finally, here is Necrosausage!s famous "not-really-as-cool-as-YRM-ones-but-still-kinda-animated-and-stuff-kinda-minimap"ä

Note the "ä" - dont dare to copy it for this is MY idea ;-)

Necrosausage = Yellow (for Protoss), teahead = blue (for Terran)




Lessons:

1) Reavers/Observers AND Temps suck up too much gas, I shoulda went sairs/dweb/Reaver or Templars and built the other branch later on

2) You cant think about making PsiRaids or Reaver dropping with DWeb when you are under constant pressure

3) You cant think about making pictures when you are under constant pressure, thats why I dont have any from the start of the game

4) You cant even do ANYTHING when being under constant pressure, actually, being under constant pressure pretty much sucks

5) A single Carrier can be as effective as 2 DWebs against Turrets (as long as the Interceptors last)

6) Shuttles dont provide detection like Overlords - thus, you better fly them away after unloading :-/ :-

7) If you research DWeb, it would be wise to use it as well

8) I hate Terrans on islands! No DT rushes for me...

PS: Here is something funny - last time I played a 2v2 vs Koreans on Hunters, 2 of them were constantly setting the network for extra high latency. One of them must have did this around 50 times in the whole game. Strange, because its impossible to be so fast with the mouse to see the message appear 7 times on the screen, maybe with hotkeys, but I doubt it. And even if you are so fast, I still see no point in it. Could it be that it has to do with some sort of bug or hack?
