Barage, this is an excellent br, even without pix & fancy html.
& Dweb is a wonderful spell...so long as your're dishing it out, not receiving it.
And you can move units out from under it....but it's prohibitivly time wasting & is hard to do with hordes of troops.
bah. Dweb annoys me, beg your pardon.

Wow, really good BR, just felt I should point out a few things...
First off, Flooded Plains = RUSH map. I've never played a game on this map that's lasted very long (by long I mean atleast over 25 minutes). It never gets very high tech. With all the bridges it's almost impossible to get any type of defense ready except wall-in's and mobile defenses, but still, nicely played.
Second: Oh btw, wonder how much health the nexus was at? 7hp. Hydras do 10 damage don't they?
All buildings have 1 point of "natural" armor, thus Hydra's would only do 9 points of damage to a building=] It's a small thing, but I'm picky=]
Still though, nice use of D-web, throw in some psistorm and you could of titled this BR, Protoss Imbalance at it's best=]

| I've never considered dweb a real threat. Sometimes you move back. Sometimes you let your guys sit there and take an extra hit while you layer the psi storm over the enemy troops. I don't really consider dweb to be usefull spell unless your attacking static defenses. Most of the time you're better off with psi storm. And if you templar rush you can always crank out dtemps in a pinch =]. I'm willing to test the theory in practice anytime. You corsair rush and I'll templar rush. =] |

As for my idea of going corsairs, it was because of a lack of knowledge of the map. On bridge to bridge while it's hard to defend your base, it's rather easy to last a little while without being attacked. Expanding early is a pretty nice idea there. Given that, I decided to take what I thought of as a 'risk' and go corsairs, then be the support for Master's main medic/marine/tank attack (if d-web+dragoons scare you, d-web+tanks has to be insane).
Then I realized that 'risk' was a 'suicide build'. The fact we were able to survive and win the match in the end was the reason why I decided to write the BR afterward; "even if it got a 2 it just had to be told" was pretty much my words post-battle.
Oh, and I don't recommend corsair rushing in land maps unless you have a VERY kicking ally (don't be so modest, Master :P) and incredible luck. D-web IS a wonderful tool- a strong webber can make good use of it in every confrontation (I've used it to win out a 2 on 2 on dire once, with my partner ZERGLING dropping :P)- but Mark is right. Get your ground and templar game going first.
Btw, I know BR.com supports html, but does that mean you can just put in some tags or can you make a whole page with an outside prog and paste the whole lot of it down? |

Don't make too much fun of zergling drops there barage, i have killed many a hydra droper just cuz i went ling instead of hydras. course you need good scouting to KNOW they are droping hydras and not goi... heh heh sorry i am not the best bw player out there so i shouldn't be handing out advice,but my point is good Battle report =]

well... the reason why we lost the game and why u survived is because i was stupid =p
my partner was like "attack the nexus with your marines" but unfortunately when he said it i was back at my base managing my barracks and building stuff and i think i expanded...
so by the time i pressed "1" twice i had like nothing but 4 medics left hehe
also, yeh, i should've won 2v1 because both of yall were pretty much crippled... one reason why i didn't was because i had horrible recon... secondly, i naked expanded 2-3 (maybe 4) times hehe... *sigh* very good game.. ONE of the strangest i've ever played on... i actually like playing maps i've never played =p
btw.. i'm still kicking myself.. 7 hp?!?! |
