I know the game wasn't much good, but I 'm hoping for better on the report.
Big question: Dragoon cost? I thought a patch changed it to 150 25?!? |

| Oh, I forgot another lesson. Coordinate drops that might do real damage. Mine was too late to do significant damage without support, likewise my brief HT drop. |

I believe dragoons are 125/50 with the patch.
By the way, I really liked the report.. good use of humor and I really got a feel of what was going on.
Most drops tend to focus on peons, and grinding your opponents economy to a halt. What I really like to do, when I have the foresight to do it, is to have an frontal assault ready to go just as I do that drop. It is either that, or drop all the time, anywhere, anytime you can, to keep him on the defensive, wondering where you're going to drop next.
I love to draw analogies to chess, so here's one: Everyone knows that in chess, if you're black, you're on the defensive, and it's well proven that you have a greater chance to win if you start with the white pieces. Well in SC of course you start off even, but the first person to gain the initative becomes White. To draw this analogy further, it does you no good if you're Black and mount an offensive later, if you're already down 2 pawns.
It's all about initative. And initative in SC can be linked to two things: Containing (destroying and denying expansions) and Expanding (making your own). The games that I win, I successfully do that. The games I lose, I don't.
Good report again! |

| I enjoyed your characterization of the units. Perhaps not accurate, but hilarious! Good job against a real human =). I remember my first game vs. a real human (War2). My hand shook too. Wierd, huh? |

Regular Record doesn't matter.
Ladder Record does. |

Well, my hand didn't shake then. My hand shakes NOW when I'm playing against a good player (due to telepathy), but my first game of Starcraft was against a human. And I built Scourge in an effort to fight off Goliaths. Heh. Learning the hard way is the best way :)
BTW, Ladder is bullshit :) |

I liked the report a lot. I sometimes get a little shake when I'm playing a game I want to win. Especially if I'm hungry. Here's Mark4's rules for playing a competitive game:
o Always build workers. If you have an inactive nexus/CC and you have less than 50 workers, give up the game unless you are doing a highly specialized rush build order.
o Base your expansions on the number of workers you have, not enemy action or troop strength. You may have to force the expansion, just do so. When you have 2 workers per mineral patch expand. You will have 2.5 by the time it's done. Move half your workers there immediately.
o Whenever you have more than 200 minerals and all your unit producing structures are active, build another one. Never let a unit producing structure be inactive unless you are about to expand and need the money.
o Take the numer of unit producing structures you have and multiply by 2. When your current supply and this number add up to your potential supply, make more supply.
o Upgrade a lot. You probably need at least 2 upgrade structures.
o Never tech until you have to. And when you do, abuse the hell out of your tech. 4 reavers is a threat. 14 is armageddon. |

Cool 1st report. I used to be like you. Well, i still suck hard, but i don't play anymore 7v1comp stomps! lol! My hands used to shake when i was playing in the beginning as well. Now i don't give a shit, and probably play worse for it (right now my hands are shaking but i am on a caffine high). BTW, i never use the increased scarab capacity upgrade. I think it is a waste. Think about it, if god forbid something wrong happens, like a shuttle going down with 2 reavers, you are losing an extra 300 min as opposed to 150 if you only have 5 in each reaver (20x15=300)
and that bites! So IMHO, i would only get the damage upgrade. Is this what the rest of you think, or am i wrong? |

You sound like me. You think you suck because you always play people that pound you into the ground. Most of the people in nohunters would easily get into the top 1000 and a few probabally into the 100 if they played non-stop and went on a winning streak. Mark4 would barely make it to the top 1000 before I killed him. Then he'd go down the next day because he writes his passwords in a .txt file in his computer.

For drops, you're right. For defense (if they're ever used that way)I'd say the more the merrier. But i'm no expert.
Alterations: The dragoon fight, I microed a bit. But since I had just attacked the base, .PoohBear.'s entire standing army had take up residence and my dragoons were hopelessly smashed under a wave of cracklings and mutas. I may have killed three things.
Also, any instances of the word 'ineptness' used should be considered to mean 'ineptitude.';-) I'm sure you knew what I meant.

| Well at least TuRD has stopped realized the futility of threatening physical violence against well armed paratroopers =]. Now he has to get some actual haxor skills to make me afraid though =]. |

| who do you think would get into the top 1000? i have serious doubts that "most of the ppl in nohunters would make the top 1000" as from what ive seen when ive been in that very same channel is that ppl have difficulty reaching 1200 much less 1300 in less than 30 games. After 30 games you wont get many points anymore thus making it far more difficult to get into the top 1000. top 1000 is 1320+ |
