I like the story bad_yellow. One of the things I think helps writing a story the most is little details one would notice if they were walking around in the story, such as Aran closing his eyes and breathing deep. My one suggestion is to make sure you describe most characters physically. Not anything big, but almond skin, long black hair, deceptively slanted eyes, and let the reader fill in the rest. I find myself forgetting that alot, because too often I see the action as it is on a Starcraft screen. Good start =). Remember, write one page a day, and by the end of the year, you have a novel.

yeah i haven't written for awhile, so i'm a little rusty..
i leave a lot of stuff vague by mistake, since i can see it so clearly myself.. i did try to make the actual story vague at the beginning though, as the next chapter has more detail about the past, etc.. thanks a lot though praetor, i would have forgotten most likely.. =)

oh yeah, and i'm not taking the damage in starcraft literally.. i'm adjusting it to as i think it should be as a story.. in the game it's pretty unrealistic.. i mean a battlecruiser takes 2 shots to kill a zergling unupgraded.. so damage and stuff i'm trying to make more realistec.

It is always a question of how far to bend the rules, isn't it? I try to make the universe as close as possible to the Starcraft game. For instance, 12 marines beats BC, etc...
Took me awhile to makes sense of explosive and concussive, but I think I did a good job =) |
